ALEX get the Dieux reusable eye patches!! You can put whatever serums you want under it! I use The Ordinary Caffeine serum most often but you can use whatever works for you in the moment. You can use them forever. Just rinse, dry & put back into the tin they come with. Amazing and saves me hundreds a year in eye patches & single use products. They’re amazing! Were recommended by the Welsh twins. Have had my set for 2.5 years so far. HIGHLY Recommend ❤ you can customize for your needs AND they don’t slip down like that.

I have a jar and backup to get through first. With single use stuff, I'm weird. I don't use my under eye patches as much, because I don't want to use them up. Then, they expire, and are probably useless anyway. (Can unopened skincare really expire within a year, or whatever? Probably... depends on what's in it, if the packaging protects it from the light, how it's stored, etc, huh?) I digress. It seems like some kind of scarcity/ hoarding mindset with me. So, reusable eye patches (and I've actually got The Ordinary Caffiene serum, too!) would be rad.
@@imaginepithynamehere4257 yeah I totally feel that. It’s like saving them for special occasions but honestly I prefer to use them everyday and now I can. I do my eyeshadow first daily & put the Dieux patches on while that’s happening. They aren’t expensive either & honestly one of the best & most loved purchases I’ve ever made.
@@imaginepithynamehere4257 the Cereve hydrating toner (which is really an essence imo) is really nice under them too.
I’ve experienced the slow drop of those eye masks too!

I appreciate this tight angle because I'm going to replay the part in where you curl your lashes in slow motion because I never feel like I'm doing it right so I usually don't even bother. Everything about this look is amazing, the whole face just stunning.
Hope that part helps! I basically pulse the curler from the base of the lashes up to the tip slowly

I don't know why people don't do eyeshadow tutorials this close anymore. I remember when Michelle Phan did it in the early days of UA-cam and it always helped seeing the process much better. I'd love more tutorials like this, please ❤

I love watching your eyeshadow tutorials. Outside of Halloween, I'd never have the courage to wear red eyeshadow out in public, so I choose to live vicariously through you while admiring and learning from your impressive skill and artistry. I would totally wear those eyeliners though, and now I'm desperate to get them.

Most videos I’ve found on UA-cam to get inspo to use the Danessa Myricks palette are just swatches and maybe one or two ideas like with no purpose. And this look seems to me something that has body and creativity…

This lip color with the eye look ❤! I think it is really hard to pair a reddish lip with any very warm eye look - they just often clash somehow… not sure how to describe it, but red/orange/pink eye looks are challenging to pair with a warm lip color imo. I think you nailed that here!
This. Was. Fabulous…I think the somewhat macro lens view of the eyes may have made this the most helpful eye tutorial I have seen. When the camera is full face, even in HD, it is hard to see exactly what is going on. It just looks like people are placing 1004 different colors in the crease on top of each other. This, paired with your excellent verbiage, allows the viewer to pick up on details like the difference in a finely milled highlighter vs a heavy foil and the various effects they have. Ps: that light works palette is 🔥thanks!

Unrelated but you have such a masterful understanding of your coloring and color in general - like both what looks good on you and what colors look cool together (even color combos you might not immediately think of)
You mentioned patting instead of blending back and forth a few weeks ago. I have been doing that since. Makes doing my shadow so much easier and no dragging the skin on my old ass eyelids!
Thank you for doing this. I think when I see eyeshadow tutorials filmed further away, I always wonder why everyone seems to have very crisp and clean eyeshadow and I struggle. I think bringing the camera closer makes me realize that its supposed to look diffused and not perfect and clean. No one is this close to our faces anyways, but it's good to see that upclose my shadows look similar and I'm not doing things "wrong".

That duochrome eyeshadow is AMAZING! I have eyeliner pencils that I got from Sheglam that are also duochrome, and I really love them and have rebought them several times. They are so easy to use and totally smudge-proof, yet lots of color payoff + really good price. Just a tip ❤️🧡💚💜🤎

I just can't say how good you look in that! The gold in the duochrome matches the gold in your hazel eyes! I was also knocked out by how perfectly the eyeliner matched the shadow.
