I feel like speed of these reels/tiktoks make it 2000x times harder because i'm so busy trying to figure out what happens in one millisecond, I don't even pay attention to what the outcome is. thank you for doing it for me
Esp bc they're so stingy to list products
Same! That’s why I prefer youtube! Even with UA-cam if I’m following along I need to keep pausing it 😂 It’s impossible at the speed of reels and TikToks!
I completely agree. I won’t even download TikTok for beauty influencers cause I want to really learn something. I don’t want to watch you slap on 30 products in 30 seconds. That doesn’t teach me shit. I don’t follow. No comprendo yo. I like a nice 20-40 minute tutorial lol I want to see all the blends.
I’m too old to follow makeup demos on tick tock! 🤷♀️
I feel like most people watch those cause it looks cool or is calming. They just forget about them the next second and never actually follow. They're too hard to follow you need more than few seconds to really learn something lmao
If you LIKE WATCHING MAKEUP TUTORIALS BUT NEVER TRY TO RECREATE THEM AT ALL clap your hands 👏👏
😂
👏👏
Why are they so satisfying tho
IM PANICKING WHATS THE OPPOSITE OF CLAPPING YOUR HANDS
hell yeah
I feel the "grunge" feel we are seeing in the original video is due to the cool tones. Her contour color on the eyes appeared to be cooler and more grey/taupe, whereas yours looked warmer with orange undertones. Same for the lips. Hers reminded me of the color Angelina Jolie has used to mask out the pigment in her lips. It has more of a grey tone.
Tell us more about the Angelina technique? I’m intrigued.
Angelina did wot?
Why would she mask the pigment in her lips? Isn't she like known for her lips?
@@himesilva Not sure what's confusing? Nude lip looks don't... hide your lips somehow? She basically only wears some kind of nude or classic red. Nude far more often.
Yeah she kinda missed it this time
I think it's like bratty fresh. It's very pretty and honestly there isn't a makeup look that looks bad on you. Your face and eye shape are perfect. I'm always shocked at how you are able to see a look on someone else, and recreate it and it's spot on. I think this is a win. I tried to do some winged liner last night playing around and looked like a deranged crocodile, so I give you props for being the Queen of winged liner, which you are btw.
It’s the deranged crocodile vibes for me 🤣
That's exactly how my winged eyeliner turns out 🤣🤣🤣
Deranged crocodiles, please stand up! 🐊 (It's me. I'm a deranged crocodile.)
The gray you see isn't eyeshadow, it's the blended pencil. She used pencil all around the eye and blended the inner corners to a grey diffused state. The whole eye look is based on spreading the black pencil around while retaining some intensity near the lashline and outer corner. when she used eyeshadow on her arch she spread some tiny bit onto the spread liner as well, to set it.
Yeah, I think so too. I wonder if the eyeliner that Alex used dried down too much before she could really blend it.
I love these makeup looks without falsies. I rarely wear false lashes bc it’s just not practical in my day to day. So this is great! Love the look!
She’s me watching a makeup tutorial and trying to recreate what you see. I felt her stressed
😂🥵
I love this reels breakdown! More please! Your look is a lot more sophisticated for sure. I feel like the cute little dabby tappy sweeps she did in the edited reel was not the actual technique she did to achieve the look- there’s no way contour and black liner blend out with cute little sweeps and dabbs. Wish she had a longer version of the look. Her look is a more refined version of the grungy dirty messy makeup I used to do back in the 90s. Gives me kind of like clean and tidy Crow and The Craft vibes
The look is beautiful but definitely not “back to school” lmao perhaps for the very first day and you want to impress people but as soon as the assignments and tests start piling up, the exhaustion hits and you’ll do anything to sleep a few extra minutes before class lol
Not everyone is like you
Maybe its me or the culture of my country because I think this makeup is too heavy for morning school. When I was in that age girls use to use a simple eyeliner, some mascara, foundation and maybe lip gloss. This black smoke eye have a night party vibe to me.
Back to Seduction School. Lol.
lmao you just described my life right there
@@areolagrandespoop7269 I know, thankfully not like you either? lmao tf
In my opinion, no one can match you and your skills. You just are very creative and could adjust and make any terrible look be so beautiful. You're the only make-up artist I can watch! Plus your personality is great. I don't like the too pish-posh or stuck up artists that are so flowery. You are a great teacher and have seriously helped my make-up looks improve. TLDR; ALEXANDRA ANELE IS #1 AT EVERYTHING lol.
I think it’s cute! I’m not crazy about the nose contour as a whole, but I agree with you about the nostril part. It’s pretty cute! I struggle with nose contouring idk if I’ve ever been completely happy with it myself
oh I struggle with it too ! it's definitely what takes most time for me and I'mma be honest, it doesn't look that good
Me neither. Luckily, I got my badly broken nose reset and a septo-rhinoplasty from an amazing Doctor on the NHS a few years ago, I had terrible sleep apnoea and it involved loads of overnight sleep studies etc before it could be done. I still try and contour it despite the fact that its really small and straight, I keep thinking its getting wider at the tip as I age but I dont know if thats true or not objectively. I think most contouring is very difficult to wear in real life and has to be very expertly done, or not at all if you are as pale as I am and you want to go outside lol!
@@Laura-in9kg how i started contouring my nose is i would practice everyday when i wasn’t busy, and at first it was always messy but it will be since i was a beginner. i started at the nose bridge. i would practice only on that part on my nose until i thought it looked good enough to move onto the bulb of my nose. i personally have a very round nose so it was a little challenging for me. i watched a bunch of nose contouring videos and played with the shapes of the contour (for example Alex has a circle on her nose 7:58) but some people would but a square or a triangle, so i played with that to see which one really suits my nose. i suggest using a powder contour for beginning because liquid contour is far harder than powder in my opinion. it just takes time to perfect, i’m far from perfect but i’ve definitely made progress by breaking down the contouring process when first learning.
I do lazy nose contour where I basically use my reg contour brush and w the tiniest bit of contour powder and I brush up the sides of my nose kinda up and across just so the contour lightly brushes up against the natural edges of the bridge and narrows it, then I basically do the same from the bottom. This way just the tiniest bit of powder goes on the bridge and it doesn’t look unnatural with harsh lines and all of that bs. It’s very subtle but effective. I hope you get what I mean and it helps you out. I have never been a fan of the ‘traditional’ nose contour method and I found out doing this has the same desired outcome of slimming your nose down and preventing it from sticking out too much.
Let's be realistic does anyone really have time to do that in the morning? I'm too lazy for this much effort in the morning.
i do more than this every single morning 😭 i guess i just love the application process way too much cause my mask stays on from the second i get out of the house and it all gets messed up after 10 minutes of me talking
Not me 😂
I used to when I had a front office job. Now i roll out of bed and slap some sunscreen on.
@@anys2656 😂😂 that's another reason why lol I can't handle makeup on the regular, I have not patience. You need to be applauded to wake up extra early for makeup.
When you repeat the same make up everyday you also do it faster and you're used to the time needed. I'd never suspect that one day I'd be able to do my foxy eyeliner in like few minutes and here I am feelin myself:)
If Alexandra struggled what makes me think I’ll be able to do it effortlessly? Well if not effortlessly at least I’ll have fun 😝
She is Romanian actually. She was my classmate and I'm so proud of her! I had no idea she was this talented and popular.
PS: your videos are awesome!👏🏼
Aw, was she kind in school? Shes very beautiful
@@SSlickmyballs stop not today
@@dumbplings550 I mean, yeah, I'd also like to know whether she was kind in school because it says worlds about a person's character, but that comment definitely struck a gross chord. I used to get such comments from n3m until I changed my pfp and started using the androgynous version of my name. They don't want to risk hitting on a guy. You just know homegirl here gets a loooooooot of that kind of yuck.
You look like an elf/fairy, it’s so pretty and really refined you’re enviable face shape!!!
My favorite part of the tutorial was seeing a pro like you struggling to follow a tutorial. That gives me hope that maybe I'm better than I thought after my looks didn't look like the tutorials I watched (which were all yours, frankly 😂
Thank you for still teaching us things, unlike other makeup UA-camrs)
I love the straight forwardness and sense of humor in your videos, while also learning some new shit finally (I’ve been stuck in beauty era circa 2016 for years) - a very fresh take on beauty content. Thxxxxxx ❤️
I loke that you're so honest with your confusion, it's relatable and it's helpful to see your doubts put to rest at the end result, that gives me more confidence.
Danielle Marcan is Romanian and lives in England.. she's awesome!! Love her vibe!
This is definitely the season for doing darker looks. I'm already looking for a good halloween pallette, but I'm so picky I'll never find one to my taste. Or if I do it will be way outside my budget.
omg sameeee
If you are UK based I heart revolution have some good ones xx
@@lucygresham3012 U.s.a...I have looked at some revolution, I might try small quads from different companies like them and bh cosmetics maybe essence and elf as well. It will just take time. If I had the dough I'd get singled from like makeup geek and Sydney grace, maybe lethal cosmetics as well, since I here their eyeliner pots are pretty good.
@@sweett2924oo if I was in USA I'd be all over lethal cosmetics ....xx
Story of my life.
I'm really close to buying this Givenchy sponge. Every time I see you use it, I'm like daaaamn I want it.
Edit: I also think it's amazing that you purchased dark brown contacts so you could show us a makeup look on dark brown eyes. I can't wait to see it.
Ugh I just love your voice.. also I love your content because you actually tell us why you’re recreating, and what recreating means to you. Which makes us appreciate makeup’s artistry
NAILED IT! Your nose is more refined than hers and you don't even need the drastic contour. Love this eye look and the foundation is flawless! I like your look better, actually. The Nars blush is perfect with this eye look too.
refined is an interesting descriptor for a nose.
I do sth Similar, where instead of drawing the acc wing I use a small brush to lightly drag eyeliner pencil up into a long Smokey, skinny wing. After that I add more to deepen the colour closest to my waterline and then use the shape of the wing to drag the pencil down and smoke my lower lash line. I then add extra smoke w a dark colour of choice.it’s one of my fav looks cos it hides my kinda downturned eyes
It's pretty spot on, the only difference I see are that your smoked out liner you used more warm brown while hers are smoked out with a grey color, or maybe it just a blackish graphite colored eyeliner and she just smoked it out and then the crease she used more of a cool toned color. The skin looks really beautiful. I might have to pick that double wear foundation up.
you are so relatableeee like not knowing how to contour your nose, uneven eyes, nose bump!!! no one talks about these thingssss
One of my friends has this with the wolf cut. It really looks well with her especially with her free spirited personality
no matter how many times i watch your videos, i will always love how you get right to the point
I think the outcome is stunning. Your cheekbones are popping and looks great. I would love to see your take on a Fall/Autumn look, but use pastel shades. Thanks for sharing!❤️🤩❤️
I just love how casually she starts and ends her videos!!!!!
This look is gorgeous on you! I had never seen contour next to the eyes like that, will totally try it.
You look stunning ✨✨✨
wow, this was a really good idea for content. watching you recreate someone else’s “situation” is actually super informative! you can really see the difference from your normal routine in the end product, at least in this tutorial, and you explain those differences so well. there’s something akin to your Dude series, in some weird way. i hope you go down this avenue again!
I love your hair in this video! Something about the colour and fade up the sides is just *chef's kiss*
You nailed this look and upgraded it, if you ask us! We see some TikTokers add in some unnecessary steps and make things a bit confusing, especially at "warp speed" as we like to call it. Thanks for the video!
Ugh I’m obsessed with her instagram, she pulls off that effortlessly cool and chic vibe so well 😩👑
"I booped my cat with my nose and I'm allergic to cats" is a mood.
You're gorgeous
The panic realness around 19:00 is soo relatable. Thanks for sharing the in-depth process 🙏 you look amazing
"I can't continue like this!" lol I feel your frustration and anxiety 😂 Love your videos, you're so real and give actual useful insights. Thank you!
This look on you is badass, like a server who is not having it. I'm def trying the nose contour.
i love the way u talk and how straight to the point your videos are, super calming🥰
I think she tightlined, if you're lining the waterline then you can tightline as much as you want and you don't have to worry about it transferring
I've watched several of your tutorials, and can I just say I love, love, love the eyes! Your gorgeous!
I loved this! I always have trouble with my undereye creases and pencil liners on my lower lashline, and I love to use it haha You are so authentic and so adorable
Love the nose and cheek contour on you and your bratty brows your eyes are a lot nicer love them!
I cant wait for some dark brown eye looks
When I do nose contour and Im not loving how its looking or it looks too intense I bake the entire nose instead of just up to the line of the contour. It softens the entirety of it and makes it just look nicer in my experience. Then I go back in with a little powder contour if I feel like any part of it needs a little back.
i love her makeup looks so much too!! i’m only a few minutes in but omg you have the most gorgeous eye color
Gonna try the contour as its very close to what I do anyway but won't even bother to do the eyes with my super droopy miserable eyelids. Looks good on you 👍
Tip for the concealing part; Putting the concealer at the outer/inner corner of eye is to erase the redness around the eye - blending it inward toward the redness, not outward to where the skin doesn't really need concealing as she did in the video. Ofc you can do whatever you want, it's just a tip of how to better reduce redness around eye 💕
Intrigued to try this kind of contouring but always wonder if we will look insane in real life. Some makeup techniques might be perfect for runway/online vids only.
That's exactly what I was thinking
Your artistic abilities blow my mind!🫨
Errr I’m in love with this whole channel, authentic, thing going on.. you know ? Love it. ❤️
i don’t read comments all the time so don’t yell at me if this is a rly common thing to see on this channel but you remind me SOOOO much of ilana glazer! your features, your voice, mannerisms. love it, both such gorgeous women
alexandra pls youre so naturally funny i love it
The brown colored Shadow definitely made the green in your eyes pop for sure
the texture after baking looks amazing😍
I think you look really stunning with this look. Even more than the tiktok model
Alex, you crack me up when you talk about “situations”…. 😂😂😂❤️
THIS LOOK IS SO YOU. I feel it really suits you, especially the brows!✨✨✨
Wow! Stunning! Thanks for doing this for us! You’ve inspired me to start doing my makeup again. ❤️
I absolutely love this makeup on you ! It's normal that you're a little uncomfortable at first, but it looks really really good on you !
I love these re-creation type videos, and i really wish more YTers did them. When a creator is featured that i already follow, i feel validated in following them. When it's a person i've never seen before, it shows me more creators to look into. Also, watching a respected creator deal with the struggle and the uncertainty of following a tutorial makes me feel a little less incompetent. LOL
Also: I have 2 makeup questions for your "Help Me" series:
1. I am growing out my gray (i'm 48), and i love it. It's a really beautiful silver. 🥰 The problem is that my hair is thinning (yay lupus...) and so when i blend my foundation so there isn't a harsh line at my hairline, it gets into my hair, which yellows the silver. How do i get it blended into my hairline then get it off my hair?
2. I have a mole that sits right on the border of my upper lip. Love the mole because it gives my lips/face character, but i struggle with lip liner. Do i go over it? Around it? It looks strange to me either way. What would you do?
You could try finding a lip liner the same color as your mole and dot it after applying your regular lip liner to help it show up again
You look gorgeous Alex!! 💕
It's pretty!!! I haven't seen this backdrop..love it
I like this eye makeup black liner sultry eyes are my favorites! Your eyes are beautiful
I love these intensive procedurals. Thanks!
i just wanna say U ARE SO STUNNING OML also i love danielle
You have the most beautiful skin ,I have ever seen 😍...seriously!!!
your videos helped me accept my dark and sunken under eyes and the bump on my nose (we have the exact same bump and under eyes i stg) sooo i just wanna thank you for that. love u girl
Loving your skin right now! Whatever you're doing, keep doing it sis 🥺🥺💞💞
i love seeing you try new techniques!! such a pretty eyelook 🤍
I've only watched two of your videos so far but you make me feel like I can do makeup. I don't know how but you make it look worth trying!
Thanks for doing these tik tok recreations! You are so right that they go so fast your not really sure what they did or used. Thanks for taking the time to recreate the looks! Keep doing it!
1 million here we come , you deserve it bby
do an olive or emerald look it would look so good with your eye color
I have found the Sisley eye concealer to be best for my very dark & prominent under eye area. It doesn’t crease nor go into my wrinkles. Brightens the area. Sure, it’s expensive but a very small amount goes very long way.
Beautiful darling!! Love the idea and it worked out great!!!
Lol, the struggle is real. I have the same bump on the opposite side of my nose.
Yours came out looking adorable.
I think yours looks so much better your under eyes looked so smooth I love the look
love you both! you’re a wonderful teacher and Danielle Marcan is very creative and fresh with makeup
You are amazing at visualising what people have done and then being able to recreate it in a way that looks great on you. Of course theres little that wouldnt look incredible on your face!
Wow your eyes are really pretty with this eye look!
Love it you totally pull it off and you do look effortless!
Your skin is SO clear now😮 it's mesmerizing
I love the way your nose contour came out!
the contour is looking so good!!
Definitely like the nose details! Also, would have loved for you to do the same exact color scheme. Her seemed more on the grey cool side with nude lips and yours was warmer with the brown eyeshadow and pinkish lips. Both look great but I think the cool palette would have looked 💣
Your under eyes were perfection with these products and this method 😍
Is there any way to do that eyeliner on not only downturned eyes but also with a downturned long upper lid crease? 😔
Try with a black shadow and liner brush to draw the shape looking straight into the mirror. You won't be drawing on the same place of the eye as the tutorial, but it will give you an outline to connect when you close your eye. And don't forget - it's make up and you can wash it off! Maybe try practicing the liner right before you wash off your makeup, then there's no pressure to get it right & you can just experiment.
Like the contouring. Like the eyes too! Pretty.
the liner looks like a ysl or the dior diorshow khol high intensity waterproof (I own the latter and I love it)
You should try different things like that because everything looks good on you!
Her skin is stunning….. just wow
I’d like to see you attempt the eyeliner technique again. I think she just blended her eyeliner and didn’t use as much shadow as you did. Great job boiling down her technique for us.
This may be one of my favorite videos you’ve done. Felt fresh. And..your interpretation was great. Keep it up!
You're so chill i love it
I like that you did this for us because then it makes it easier for us to do it at home.
I like the bump in your nose, I think it looks cool! Plus it gives me, another nose bridge bump haver, confidence to see someone else pull it off
