I don't play any musical instrument and the only lesson I took was the solfeggio as an 8 y/o one summer 😀But when I heard Brce Liu from the Chopin 2021, that ignited my love for classical piano. Ihave the opportunity to see Bruce in Vancouver in May 19, 2024. It's a magical experience to see and hear him perform!!!

Alors à l'abri de la pluie, j'ai découvert par hasard votre concert donné à Edinburgh et "Les tendres plaintes" ont commencé à me ravir ! Il pouvait bien pleuvoir !... Seuls Rameau "le magnifique", Chopin, Ravel, Liszt et les tableaux sonores que vous avez, avec brio, si joliment peint sur votre clavier, me suffisaient, tout en imaginant vos expressions. Merci Bruce pour cette magnifique pluie musicale voyageuse où parfois je me demande où vous prenez le temps de respirer... surtout n'oubliez pas avec Liszt ! (It’s worth listening to the BBC radio 3 program if its still available for the higher sound quality there, but I’m sure all of us are grateful that its here on youtube). Bruce Liu’s imaginative interpretation and exquisite rendition of Rameau, Chopin, Ravel and Liszt is unmatched. The most wondrous, magical, fantastical recital ever! ❤❤❤❤❤
Really didn't count him among my favorites for the Chopin competition, but I'm simply blown away by this. Great program, not a minute went by in which I was bored. Captivating and finally a fresh and original touch. Hard to come by nowadays.
