Dan Patrick Calls For College Football Rule Change After Oregon Pulls a Fast One on Ohio State

- Watch Dan Patrick call for an immediate rule change in college football after Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks effectively exploited a flawed rule at the end of their 32-31 win over Ohio State last weekend, where Oregon purposely put 12 men on the field in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter to give the Ducks a better chance at stopping Ohio State from advancing the ball, knowing it's only going to be a five-yard penalty and time won't be added back onto the clock.

You forgot about first quarter referee give Ohio State free touchdown and you’re crying for 10 seconds last minute Come on
😂😂😂
right i was watching at work, like how dat ain a pick
you also forgot about the PI call was really weak
Is this about 📺tv readings. OSU got beat on both sides of the ball. They finally played a team with good players. Perdue next on the menu. Go Ducks❤
Coach Day was the one who made sure the refs saw it. And called it. Lanning was in the future. Day is still in preschool.
Ohio State was gifted a touch down with that non interception, Oregon left points on the board. They weren’t good enough to beat Oregon. This wasn’t a 1 point game. Stop making excuses for Ohio State. Now we’re talking about time zones as excuses. So why haven’t we complained for the last 100 years of national championships and bowl games and used time zones as the reason the losing team lost? Day said before the game that Oregon is only a couple hours longer of a flight than Nebraska (more like 4) it’s not a big deal. 70 degrees, clear skies in Oregon, it doesn’t get better than that. Never listened to you before but you sound like a homer.
Did you listen to the whole thing? He literally said he’s only talking about it cause it happened to Ohio state basically saying they’re getting babied he knows😂😂writing an essay to the void
the PI call was BS. game over
They weren't good enough to beat Oregon......🤣🤣🤣🤣
Please stop! 🤣🤣🤣 Ohio State's defense played horrible. Oregon is not the better team. It's not how you start. It's how you finish. Let's see where both teams are at the end of the year. Hope they meet again. Definitely going to be a different result. 💯
Good move by Oregon.
I agree
Yes.. very smart.
Until someone does it to you.
@j.seward2526 The Ducks ain't crying for a do over when they can't make a completion that wasn't affected by the extra player.

Boohoo. Don't start throwing it on the 26 when you just need a field goal.
Funny because day was criticized for being too conservative against Georgia. Either way he gets ripped
“Put the whole team out there. “ 😂
The ONLY reason the rule may be adjusted is because it happened to Ohio State.
If Oregon does this to Michigan, Alabama, Notre Dame, University of Southern California, and other teams that are "historically prominent", then OF COURSE Dan has this take.
Do this to any other team that has no historical significance (or is not currently a "hot team of the moment")
and maybe it gets a passing mention...but Dan is not nearly THIS passionate about the rule change in question.
SPOILER ALERT: I'm an Oregon, Oregon State, Portland State, Linfield, etc. fan. (Born and raised in Portland.)
He used the current rules to his advantage and it worked.
No change needed. Literally takes one player/coach ANYONE on the team to glance at the play clock to see if it’s running
You ohio state apologist are funny... can never give credit
This just proves that Lanning is smarter than Day! Which isn't sayin much!
Dan Patrick is a Ohio State Brown Noser. Jeffrey Bossa intercepted that ball The Refs should have caught it... But didn't. and chip Kelley hurried up and ran a play so the "refs" couldn't review the interception. That ended up in a 14 Point swing that would have gone in OREGON'S Favor. GOOO DUCKS!!!!!
would you ban the so called 12 man play if Ohio would have passed for a
first down and ran off 10 seconds. /??????
Oregon left 17 points on the field - Tez in the corner by himself which Gabriel didn't see. Ran the wrong route in the first half on the left side near the goal line, another possible TD. And the missed FG or 2 pt attempt...
stop it. Give Oregon their flowers. Ohio State had their chances, and failed.
I love all of the excuses. Don Planning doesn't do things by accident. Just like the onside kick. Coach Lanning talked about it.
Please, change the rule. Fine, whatever. Lanning will be on to a new loophole by then.
Ryan Day is a cry baby.
Your brain 💩
Its called coaching, great coaches look for an edge. Day is a turd and will be disposed of finally after this season. Total beta male.
Ohio State mismanaged the clock without talking about the twelve man penalty.
OSU got played 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Stop controlling the narrative and rules for your teams media; no one else cares BUT you
If you look at basic stats from game,Oregon was on top and left points on the field. Fact
Ohio State loses ONE TIME to a top 3 team and you really cry like this? Soft.
What about Oregon player, Holden spitting in Ohio State players face, Igbinosun? He was seen on TV laughing about it? That was a THUG act! Disgraceful! 😡
There are tons of rules that penalize teams who didn’t get penalized. The end of game time and penalties are awful.
You got to quit whining and you can say that about any game and get a Oregon have an interception in the first
Don't like the results so change rules. Is that it, Pat
Can we change the rule that any all turnovers are subjected to review since Oregon got screwed early in the game which resulted in a Buckeye TD later
Ohio got gifted a TD because the refs ruled a INT as a catch for Ohio so please stfu about a few seconds
I don't get it. What if Ohio State had completed a long pass against the 12 man Oregon defense. The clock would have stopped for the penalty, which Ohio State would have declined, giving them plenty of time to set up for the game winning field goal. What did I miss?
Having twelve on the field helps prevent that having 15 would be even better.
Brilliant on Lanning's part.
C'mon, guys. Obviously that 12th man made Howard throw a crap pass and the receiver not catch it. So the refs needed to give Buckeyes a do over. DUH
Dan Patrick is still around?
I didn't see you bitching ducks got screwed on clear interception.
Slick move by Lanning.
Rolled the dice 🎲 and it worked!
Go Ducks! )))[](((
Just shut up and get on with it
Very cool! Thank you for your inspiration and labor! 🌺💚
