Na, that's wrong. We know a ton, and the experts are absolutely right. In fact, there isn't much more to be learned, about anything. We know pretty much all there is to know. ...said many throughout history, after just a tiny bit of technological advancement.

With the universe being 14 billion years old, it's impossible to detect radiation from anything further than 14 billion light years away from us. We don't know everything, that's for sure. But certain things may just remain forever unknowable.

Keep in mind that a gamma Ray burst is a one time event. Quasars are (relatively) in the same place night to night. It's like measuring the dimensions of a enormous Christmas Tree with only 19 lights flashing once and only once; each one at a different time. As opposed to measuring the dimensions of the same tree using a few more lights that are always lit.
I really look forward to these videos and this is one of my favorites so far. They are very well presented and narrated and the visuals are great too. I also really like the point made at the end of this one about how our earthly problems may not be as significant as we make them out to be. Thank you for making them and please continue to do so.
These documentaries are fantastic, I started watching films about the universe and now I can’t get enough. I think what is described is relevant to everyone on this planet as we all come from elements in the universe.

Sometimes that’s exactly how I react when trouble or discomfort in life arises I just think about the universe, thinking about how big the universe is is not gonna solve my problems here in hearth but the thought about the size of the universe is far more bigger than any other thoughts I have about life. Just because there is so much matter that we can barely comprehend, it doesn't suddenly invalidate our emotions, concerns and will. To think that it does will almost certainly make you a nihilist, you'll lose friends, disappoint people, and life would be dreadful. The solution is to do with proper priorities.
The great wall would be a great setting for a distant future sci-fi novel or other art media, I can imagine an ever expanding civilization at the end of time beating the clock and looking out into unimaginable darkness that swallows the great wall whole when everything else moves too far away

Every science news channel so far seemed to parrot back google news, because their content would coincide most of the time with what I've read there a couple days earlier. I've never heard of a wall of gamma ray bursts before, so you seem to cast a wider net. Just for that I subscribed.
Literally thinking of space and all the vast distances, the depths of time and space and how insanely small and insignificant we are is the only thing that helps me deal with trauma and with the thought of our impending extinction due to climate change. I just think of the universe, and how statistically there should be lots of other life forms out there, even lots of intelligent other life forms, and whatever happens here doesn’t seem so important anymore.
Your ending is literally the reason that spiked my interest in astronomy. The sheer scale of the universe makes all mundane problems seem unimportant - and everything in society is much less interesting than what goes on, on a cosmological scale.
I’m not a one to comment on UA-cam but feel compelled to here. No fluff just facts. Love it. Keep up it that way. You’re a breath of fresh air in a sea of fluff.

When I was grade 3 I asked my brother what is the biggest planet in the universe, he told me it was named something like "the great wall" I then started to overthink that it might explode but I calm myself with "Planets can't explode" and when there was a field trip in my school I woke up in 3 am just to go outside and see a lot of stars. It fascinated me and I wanted to learn more about our Universe. It even became my Aesthetic. And here is 12 year old me discovering that "The great wall" isn't a planet.
Sometimes I really do believe we are at the center of everything. Like Sea said The scale of the universe is so unimaginably massive that it is hard to comprehend and we can barely even begin to study its far reaches. Personally it makes me feel insignificant even though we do live all together on this huge planet. A part of me really makes me think we are incredibly special and unique and may be the only sentients thing that have lived maybe ever. I'm sorry, I'm babbling, but always ever so curious. I absolutely love how this video went into such staunch detail about the mathematical tests performed by the scientists who discovered this structure. I'm no astronomer and love watching videos like this, and have a natural hesitation to believe certain astronomical observations made in YT videos without evidence. I appreciate the video showing the plots and statistical significance values to show how bizarre the existence of such a structure is, and that makes it so much more believable as a viewer. I love space!!!
As you have mentioned, the more we learn, the more we realize we don't know. For all that has been theorized and been proven, for now, correct, there will always be that one case that shows that we may need to go back and take new look at the theories. A theory isn't a guess, but something that we did guess and then rigorously tested to the reasonable extent we can, with the knowledge that new information will either prove it false (falsibility is a requirement for a theory, after all) or that the theory is generally correct, but not correct enough.
Some times i feel like we are an ultra tiny quarks forming a super massive gigantic godlike being and all these billions of years are just minutes for this being we are part of
I love how structures in the universe can be anywhere from as small as a singularity to something as large as this absolute behemoth.

As you have mentioned, the more we learn, the more we realize we don't know. For all that has been theorized and been proven, for now, correct, there will always be that one case that shows that we may need to go back and take new look at the theories. A theory isn't a guess, but something that we did guess and then rigorously tested to the reasonable extent we can, with the knowledge that new information will either prove it false (falsibility is a requirement for a theory, after all) or that the theory is generally correct, but not correct enough.
