      It was a bit like your last video, can't let a bit of rain stop you though. It seems to rain more days than it's sunny lately, gives you the sh!ts.

    Nice episode makes you wonder how many quartz pebbles you see in peoples gardens could have a tiny piece in them! If anyone is likely to be an ambassador for the gold monster it has to be you ! really demonstrates their niche in finding the small stuff.

      Lots of gold bearing quarries around central vic contain gold and were used for road base, many a nugget has been found on these paved roads. The Gold Monster is a fun little machine, that can find the smallest gold, but is capable of finding big gold at depth even with the 5in coil.

      It's been quite wet, I was in the rain and hail today so it was very ordinary weather to prospect in and lately if you waited for a good weekend you wouldn't get much done.

    Hi Pete, in my second life I want to be born in Australia * laughs.
    With the Detector we have zero chance in Germany.
    So I am left with the old variant of gold prospecting, as you showed at the end. Very nice video

      Thanks mate, If the gold you have is just pannable, roll with that or if you can run a river sluice or high banker if its legal, some counrties don't like high banking. It's still fun finding the small stuff and it does add up.

      All good, the monster can take a bit of rain, I guess the 6000 is a bit of a soft machine that can't handle a little inclement weather, or maybe the fair weathered operartor LOL.

    👍well done, been panning dead dog since I was in primary school started detecting it in the late eighties with a old dick Smith machine with my brother, since then it's had a hiding, but you can still get gold. I worked that bed rock clean a few times over the years.
    A few years ago a heap of prospectors camped in there for acouple of weeks a gave it a hammering with banker's and machines.

      Yeah it's a good spot and with all this recent rain all the crevises might have been filled up again, but every time I go there I get rained on, soon I'll give it a crack in the dry, hopefully.

    What settings for the hot rock area I wonder?

    • @PetesGoldAdventures
      @PetesGoldAdventures  2 роки тому +1

      Still manual 9 all metal mode, you just have to work with them, they don't make the ground hot like ironstone, they just give off a cracking signal and there a pain in the ass.

      @dataglasses 2 роки тому +1

      @@PetesGoldAdventures The reason I ask is that I recently watched a Monelab Video and the bloke stated Auto One for Mineralised Ground, thanks!

    • @PetesGoldAdventures
      @PetesGoldAdventures  2 роки тому +1

      @@dataglasses No one I know runs that setting, all the guys I know run all metal manual 9, thats the deep hole on the screen and the line around level with the bottom of the coil picture. If anything take it back to 6 balance it and slowly balance it up to 7 and then 8 and see if it stays stable and then listen for the wobble pop.

      @@PetesGoldAdventures Pete I've used this a bit and I have gone down to five if really hot ground. Basically down until it goes quiet when on hot ground is my attitude, I will have some nuggets to test in the near future. It will be interesting, I will test auto one just to see, but I have avoided it for the most part. I was just interested on another point of view, cheers!

    • @PetesGoldAdventures
      @PetesGoldAdventures  2 роки тому +1

      @@dataglasses They are hopeless on hot ground, you will struggle and throw it in the bushes, find low mineralised ground like pipeclay or quartz without ironstone. If you watch my monster video's you'll see it's very quiet and pick up very small gold. Josh from Chasing Gold Australia always uses his down Ballarat, the ground down there is good for monsters, watch his video's, he uses the same settings as I do.
