One of the few bands I’ve seen that actually likes to play their songs live they’re really into playing and giving it they’re all every time they really enjoy this. Always loved winger
easy on the feet! ha ha! great voice, never heard an interview! i'd never skip winger, if i knew they were comin' up! that guitar guy's literally playin' my now-sorta-antique ibanez guitah! how flippin' cool-is-that, right? flippin' cool track!
9 years Elise. Are you still alive? I hope so. In fairness, it's time for you to hear this song again and try to reflect upon the past 9 years. A lot happened didn't it? I despise hair metal. To me this is prog rock. Great guitar solo. Good tune. Not saccharine and trite like most of the bands of the day. Winger were at a crossroads. If they had done this style of music, I think that they could have been legendary. Unfortunately, the label probably pressured them into doing bullshit material like Seventeen. Absolutely horrible song that branded them as soft. They were all class A musicians. Their record label wanted a quick hit and turned most rockers off. Unless you were a musician, you wouldn't have liked these guys, especially as a male. If they had only told their record label to fuck off and used their talent, like on this song... We'll never know, but I'd love to have heard what they were capable of.
They have put out some great music since this record. The album after this one ("Pull", 1993) is largely considered their best record among devoted Winger fans. My favorite is their 4th album called "IV". And they just came out with another great album this past May called Seven. Also can't forget the Karma album.
We opened for WINGER in SEPT ..(2012) in Charlotte NC...all the guys in WINGER are super talents and didn't mind hanging out for over an hour and chat with us....a great night...vids are at my site here on UA-cam...
@@ARayMaddy oh no it's not him dancing that's all cool, I was just was saying 0:05 "yeah" for you opening for Winger that would be a pretty interesting experience.
Oh My ****** God!!! This performance is unbelievable!!! Winger has amazing musicians. Can't believe people used to say it was crap. I really look forward to see this live.
That fade out at the end the musicianship intensity and emotion how can you not like this such an underrated band think Wingers looks went against him but live you can't fault this band
This is a great tune that is well-constructed beginning to end. Haunting, emotional, great musicians playing a beauty of a song with raw energy. This tune is an 80's masterpiece in the "hard rock ballad" category.
I ranked this live performance as one of the Top 10 of the era. All musicians are on top of their game. Power and intensity for a live performance cannot be beat. Really amazing to watch at the time and now. Might be Top 5 for the era...still making up my mind on that but it's a contender for sure.
Winger reminds me of a movie that's perfectly cast...all the muscians make up a great band. Live, they can't be touched for clarity, for precision, I'm putting them way, way up there on the list. Winger owns a handful of legendary tunes, tunes that you never get tired of listening to over and over and over. Winger is what every band should strive for in performance and mastery of rock band flavor.
They were so under-rated... What more could you want? Great vocals... great guitar.... great songs.... and KIP WINGER!!!!!!!! I could just stare at him all day. lol.
God alive!!! this has to be the best live performance of any 80's hair metal band ive seen on youtube. rob beach sounds perfect. and yeah as a man kip is a good lookin guy
I remember hearing this song when it dropped in the late 80’s,and going straight out and buying it on cassette. We were thrash fans so this was considered “selling out”. I didn’t care.I could instantly hear how well these guys put songs together, and their musicianship is second to none.
are you freaking kidding me....80s guitar riffs and solos are some of the hardest stuff you can ever try to play. I have seen so many videos of people playing Seventeen wrong it gives me a headache. Reb Beach is an amazing guitarist one of the best in the world.
This band is one of the best that ever lived and the Dr. Morganstein and Reb are just too amazing.....the people who bust on them just have no clue and Reb could outplay most of the "great" players.....this performance says it all...and when you see it live...you never want it to end....
I think this is quality! As powerful as the studio version. And I think Rod Morgenstein is great! So Underrated & he always looks like he's having a ball... The yellow drums look awesome!!
Winger flat out rocks. I caught them Live when they were touring the local venues vs the arena and I have never heard a band sound live so close to a recording - no lip-syncing either so don't even think it - they were and are awesome. Great musicians and if you listen close none of the other 80s metal/rock bands had a sound like theirs...
Kip is smiling towards the end of Reb’s solo, likely because he knew that Reb was playing it straight up and flawlessly from what was recorded in the studio. These guys are really great musicians and seem to appreciate each others talent. I was fortunate to see these guys in ‘93 on Panama City Beach, FL, on the “Pull” tour and at the height of their success. What a great venue and concert it was. I still have the ticket stub from the show, now 41 years later.
I've got to say this. This is top notch!. It's LIVE! How many groups can pull this off without needing background support of some sort. A fantastic era of music and creativity.
Enjoy, my friend....I wish I were there. It's never too late to rock with a great band. You're certainly in for a quality evening. Wonderful that you're only 19, they'll set the bar high for you. Be well, -M
Love the transition at 3:15...genius! I would also add this: I don't know if the fans in attendance knew it was coming but this is one of the best live tv performances of any rock song you'll ever witness. These guys nailed the tune! From vocals to drums to guitars...probably one of 50 live performances of ANY rock band performing live on television. Kip and the boys could not have performed any better. A killer song!
Hello!! I am from Europe. I watched on tv this music video on a british music channel called vh1. I love this song for their keyboards melody mixed with the guitars riffs. I believe that this song is for a bso movie from 80´s because is about a exciting love. Thank you for reading my comment. Up the 80´s music (rock and pop, down the reggaeton.
There were a lot of hungry rock bands in the 80s but two that come to mind that could back it up with exceptional musicianship were Winger and Skid Row
Reb has never been given credit due for his talent. I hereby fix that now. REB IS THE BEST!
Reb played the solo FLAWLESSLY...
Winger is one the best bands I've ever seen live. Im a metal dude, but you can't deny the talent in this band. Damn, Reb's solo is 🔥 🤘
?...What do you mean "but"?
This is when MTV actually played music , what a concept !!!!!
this is insanely good for a live performance!!!
A Classic song!!
Agreed! What an amazing band. Lots of moving parts going on and no one missed a beat!

The most underrated hard rock band. All the members of the band were on a top level.
to me that was one of the most beautiful guitar solos I've ever seen in my life, and trust me I know many guitar players.
Reb Beach and his usual amazing guitar skills
His riff structures are timeless. Still cool as hell 30 years later. Wow.
