    01:21:36 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) make visits to bomb damaged areas. They look at ruined houses and speak to members of the public. Bomb damage to Buckingham Palace. The King and Queen stand in fields and chat to Land Army girls. They laugh with the women. King and Queen sit at long tables and eat a meal with the workers. Princess Elizabeth joins the ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service). Her mother and father look at a car engine, we then see Elizabeth working on an engine. The King and Queen laugh. The King stands with members of the cabinet. King is given three cheers by the services. Various shots of him inspecting troops overseas, visiting the wounded, riding in a tank, meeting Field Marshall Montgomery, etc.
    01:24:04 March past of the commonwealth forces. King attends a cricket match and shakes hands with some team members. A football match. The King and Queen applaud the teams' efforts. Crowds jump and wave. King presents the cup. (Arsenal v Liverpool?) L/S of HMS Vanguard on voyage to South Africa. Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret play a boisterous game on deck with some of the young handsome crew members! Look like they are having lots of fun! Shots of the family visiting Field Marshal Smuts' house in Cape Town.
    01:25:30 Wedding of Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh. Shots inside the Abbey and of the royal carriage driving through the streets. The family poses for an official photograph. Various shots of a ceremony of dedication for Knights of the Garter. Parade in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Princess Elizabeth, her husband and parents pose with her new baby - Prince Charles. C/Us of child and of Elizabeth. Visit of President of France (Auriol?). Kings illness is discussed on the commentary.
    01:26:55 C/U of the front page of newspaper announcing King's imminent operation. Crowds stand outside the Palace. King's Surgeon (?) drives away. A notice is attached to the Palace railings, photographers and cameramen snap away. The King's Christian faith is mentioned on the soundtrack. King is driven past troops in a truck. Montage of images of royal family having their photographs taken (birth of Princess Anne (?). Trooping of the Colour ceremony. King George VI rides in an open topped carriage in a Grenadiers uniform. The Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) rides behind in uniform.
    Commentary states: "Though the King's daughter was young, he had prepared her for her duties and responsibilities. Her father knew that his life would not be long. Yet he must have been proud in the knowledge that such a daughter would succeed him... God Save the Queen."

    A fine man. Excellent smile/laugh at 0:57. Also nice to see with all the politicians he’s standing at the back with Winston Churchill

    Americans sadly we don't know how important having an explempar head of state like King George VI was to the British Empire in WW2. Having a non political head of state is sadly lacking these days in my country the USA especially in these recent crazy 5-6 years or so

    Some interesting clips that aren't normally seen. could the uploader alter the title though....it implies that the king was still loving his family seven years after he died

    The two Princesses didn't in 1940 as they were evacuated to Windsor-Castle Presumably on both the Government and the Monarch orders,and it wasn't till 1945 that Princess Elizabeth was finally admitted into the ATS the Women's Part of the Army
