As an Iranian, I share with you the sadness of not having Edward... He was an example of a moral elevation, logic, emotion and a very loving face that will never die... He is alive and our big brother in the Middle East..
We need you now more than ever before Edward...😢 Stand up please.
He was one of my academic heroes during my undergraduate. I am not Muslim, but I have Muslim people in my family. Your father’s work is very much appreciated, especially for immigrant children like myself, also.
Me too! Had the honor of attending a talk of his in the early 2000's at Columbia U. ✌🏻♥️💚🤍🖤
Edward Said was not Muslim either, He was a Palestinian Christian

Well, Said was a 1st class conman who spread evil & disinformation wherever he went.
I just realized almost all the videos I have watched from Palestine and people who talk about that region seems they are here at the present time . The difficult time that both people from Israel and Palestine are facing now 😢 and as a result of it , any human being around the globe is feeling it .This shows the on going trauma of Palestinian which I were not aware of it . These videos are from four , five and even ten fifteen years ago . Wow . Very sad ! 😢😢😢😢
Edward Said was a great Human being , scholar , teacher and role model .Our world needs man like him desperately !!
Thank you. I read your Dad's most famous book many years ago and it helped me to view the world differently. He would be very proud of you and the people of Gaza need to now more than ever
I came into this after I was searching about Edward Said/ absolutely amazing and enlightening talk. Thank you for being authentic and sharing your story Najla🌸 wish to see more of your art in spite of current situation . Much love 💕
Love you Najla ❤️
He raised a fine daughter
Thank you very much for the telling of your life!
This could cannot be more relevant than now...
Edward was a very good pianist
Maybe.
But his lies about his fictional state have proven to be pathetic.
Wow
I wonder whether it would have made a difference if a good-looking and pragmatic Palestinian like E. Said had been the leader of his god-forsaken people? With Arafat and his PLO, and an ineffectual President like Abbas the people never had a chance - now Hamas has turned the lives of the 'homeless' and hopeless internees of Gaza into an unimaginable nightmare - how could this have been allowed to happen? To quote Milton 'and did God look on and wouldn't interfere?'. E. Said must be shedding rivers of tears for his people in heaven...
I totally agree. Hanan Ashrawi would have been an excellent spokesperson for the Palestinians. An articulate woman with perfect English and a sharp mind. But she was sidelined to make way for the men in suits.
chairman arafat was poisoned by the israelis and died surrounded by zionists with members of the pflp yes he was not cool looking like fidel and yes he made many mistakes I DON'T TRUST PEOPLE WHO DO NOT MAKE MISTAKES!!! SO YOU ARER LOOKING FOR A JFK FOR PALESTINANS SHAME ON YOU!!
Bless all.who tried . Justice needs to be demanded by many. It is a long struggle. Said was great but Arafat yes counts, he counts. Itbis a collective struggle.
No;
My father believed in justice and equality for Palestine ❤
But it never existed.
A purely mythological construct, invented by an Egyptian Psycho in the 1970s.
Free Palestine from the river to the sea! 🇵🇸💔🔑🍉 Dr Said was right!
Said is DEAD exactly like his nonsensical state.
