The way he acts as a character also reflects his stand. While Jotaro would mostly just defeat his opponents and move on, Josuke very often makes friends and alliances with his former enemies. He first breaks the villains and then fixes them into good people, helping them grow and develop, like polishing a diamond.
Which goes into the theme of how other people's influences change and affect someone that goes on on later parts, like Vento Aureo.

Out of all of the Jojos in the series, Josuke remains my favorite. Beyond simply being the kindest Jojo after Jonathan, he is the most relatable of them all. I can never picture myself being in the other Jojo's position, but Josuke? A simple guy trying to live peacefully in a relatively small town? That I can definitely relate to. I can easily imagine being in his position. He is just a normal kid who just happened to have a stand, but he is willing to rise to the occasion to help his family and friends.
Also, given the fact that Crazy Diamond can't heal him, Josuke is the only Jojo who can't self-heal (Jonathan and Joseph have limited healing with Hamon, Jotaro having the backing of Speedwagon Foundation, Giorno can self-heal and Jolyne can stitch her wounds with Stone Free). He is putting his life on the line every time he engages in combat, and he is doing it anyway because that's the kind of person Josuke is, a guy who cares about people.

Ah yes, I believe his "can't self heal" symbolizes his selfless nature of saving others first before himself.
I understand that but I think relatibility is overated in stories its jojo BIZZARE adventure nobody's truly relating to any character really

The way he treats people, even after finding some of them eccentric, not giving up on them, makes my heart melt. Remember when he first met Mikitaka and later on Mikitaka was freaking out because of the sirens being too loud for him? It reminded me of a few of my old autistic classmates ( I have it too) who are/were really sensitive to sounds and got overwhelmed by it. After seeing that happen, I was like: "Yep, I love Josuke."

I’m surprised that you haven’t done this one yet. Josuke is my favorite jojo with girono being a close second. He embodies Jonathan’s kindness, Joseph’s creativity and love of jokes and jotaro’s aggression. And I love that all these factors make sense with his personality and background. He probably has the most heartwarming backstory out of all the jojos and crazy diamond is by far my fave stand. Combine all that with his growth, fights and excellent English va billy kametz and I can’t help but love him.
All joestars after Jonathan have has his traits in ways.

One of the coolest things about Josuke's character is how much his story is based on Pink Floyd's lyrics. Like in "Comfortably Numb" having lyrics like "When I was a child I had a fever" and "When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse
, Out of the corner of my eye" refering to the man in the snow. There are probably more things like this with his character, this is just one I happen to notice.

It just occurred to me that Josuke is the only friend Koichi makes during Part 4 that hasn't at some point tried to attack him.
Also, I really wanna see Josuke interact with the rest of Joseph's family. I bet they'd welcome him. I know Holly would be thrilled to have a little brother, Suzie Q isn't the kind of person to hold any of this against Josuke, she knows Joseph's cheating had nothing to do with him, and I'm curious to see what influence he had on Jolyne growing up.
Holly would definitley invite him over to the family-reunion/birthday of Jonathan Joestar, while I think Suzie Q would have passed away..

Actually, isn't the bit of Josuke's character, that he reads deeper into a person, a trait that is taken further with Giorno? Since Giorno not only read into people that he had life & death bouts with, but is also the only character in the series to read into a person's morals and psychology through their Stands. [As seen in the Black Sabbath and Green Day arcs]

It's seemingly implied and hinted at that the stranger from the flashback was originally supposed to be Josuke, but at some point during the writing of DiU, Araki decided to go another way with the story. It wouldn't be the first time he's decided to drop certain ideas. I mean hamon itself got dropped for stand powers. My idea of how it was probably intended to happen was that Josuke got sent back in time due to a villain's power. Possibly Kira's Bites Za Dusto. Since that does have time travel aspects to it, and for some reason had to maintain his existence or find a way back, by helping his past self. Maybe the original way Kira's stand got rid of you was to make an event that happened in your past lead to your death, i.e. Baby Josuke dying from the DIO's curse illness that all Joestars at the time went through. Or, maybe he kept dying over and over, more like Diavolo, until he figured out a way to save his future self. I actually think this might be even more likely, as that's exactly what happens to Diavolo in the next part, and maybe Araki wanted to save the idea. Josuke's wounds in the flashback were similar to the ones he got when he fought Kira, but they could also have been caused by the many deaths he had to suffer through to get back. It's all just a theory, and I know it isn't the case now, but it's an interesting thing to think about, since Araki just mentioned it in passing, and never really delved into it much. As he said in that interview: "It was just Josuke's memory." It could have just been Josuke, over time, replacing the image of that hero in his mind with his own face. However, it's still very unusual. Why would there be this random, bloody, high school aged kid in the middle of nowhere in a massive snowstorm? Why was he walking on foot, and how would he know that the kid in the car was sick, since at the angle the panel is drawn in the manga, it wouldn't allow the stranger to see him. Let alone, tell that he was sick. There's a lot of mystery to it, and that's what drives people to think of theories like this. The scenario was just too suspiciously convenient and unnatural.

This video just perfectly sums up just why Josuke is my favorite of the Jojos. Araki managed to make Josuke someone incredibly grounded and realistic personality wise while also balancing the crazy antics he gets into. His kindness is never shown as a weakness, which is so nice to see especially in male characters.

That was because Joseph only suffered clinical death. Although the time limits may be unrealistic and the draining of blood makes everything much harder, you can bring them back to life if you can restart their heart.
Josuke's grandpa suffered brain death when Aqua Necklace destroyed him from the inside. He was already gone when Josuke found him, even if he brought his brain back together
Also, you know, Souls.
Josuke's grandfather didn't have a fighting spirit, so his soul was never going to be strong enough to return to his body
Joseph has a nack for cheating death, and a very strong fighting spirit even in his old age, meaning he was able to return to his body when Jotaro restarted his heart and got his organs back to function.
Hell, Joseph is still alive even in Part 6.
I appreciate this video so much. You revealed so much about josuke which helped me enjoy not only him as a character more but also part 4 as a whole. If this video wasn’t made I genuinely would’ve seen Josuke as another average character and wouldn’t have been able to appreciate all of the unfathomable amounts of effort that Araki put into this character

A quick theory but:
I feel like Josuke wanted to heal the delinquent because of the injuries, he wanted to thank him because he save Josuke's life, and when he was out of there he knew that Josuke would give the same kindness that was shown to him by the delinquent, by his soul manifesting as a stand, Crazy Diamond
Crazy Diamond would body default Gold Experience, hell he would have bodied Star Platinum if he couldn't stop time. That being said Giorno and Josuke teaming up is the dream team we never got to see in canon.
I am not sure if Josuke could be ruthless enough to be in the mob, but many if not all of the Bucci Gang could have survived if Josuke were there. His restoration is super fast, faster than Giorno's Gold Experience at that time. If Koichi survived Kira's attack, Abbacchio could have survived with Josuke's help. And Mista's life would be easier if all the times he was shot he could be quickly and painlessly healed. We would miss all the amazing homoeroticism of Mista and Giorno tho.
Jouske said Star Platinum was nothing like Crazy Diamond, because it was much more powerful (Star Platinum)
I dont think CD was powerful enough to beat SP but rather match it. If it was a base fist fight it may have been a tie or SP would have won due to experience. But concerning abilities it all depends on who got the first hit in. Concerning GE im not 100% on its base power but the abilities i think would tie up as giorno uses his ability to get out of situations similar to josuke but once again if giorno wanted he could beat CD with its own physical strenghth similar to leaky eyed luca's fate. Again it all depends. Wich also begs the question. If josuke punched one of giornos creatures while using its ability would he heal himself or would giornos ability be void cuz he healed the creature as fast as he harmed it
@@dennissweeney4577 See the thing is Josuke is significantly kinder than Luca so it's not as likely he would attack with intent to kill, like what happened to Koichi. We also don't know how Josuke's restore interacts with Giorno's animals. More importantly in terms of physical strength the two aren't even close CD is An A in destructive Power and Giorno is only a C, They has the same speed but Giorno would be overpowered.
