Points made from the video:
The Yaba, like the coral-type generators, has good post-EN depletion recovery because of the combination of its Post-Recovery EN Supply (the amount of EN returned after the EN bar depletion) and Supply Recovery (the time it takes for the EN Recovery to kick in after depletion) stats. Coral generators have more Post-Recovery EN and less Supply Recovery, meaning they have a bigger burst of EN return after EN bar depletion but with a long cooldown. The Yaba has the opposite stats disposition, having less raw EN post-depletion but with shorter cooldowns.
This means the Yaba specializes in high bursts of maneuvers (Quickboosts/Assault boosts) in a short amount of time because of its fixed amount of EN return after depletion and short cooldown time. This allows a few "jump cycles" by using the correct part setups, as demonstrated in the video.
3 Quickboosts / 1 Jump: Because you don't need to be on the ground for the Post-Recovery EN Supply to start, you can jump, deplete your EN bar by Quickboosting (about 3 Quickboosts for each new cycle), and wait for the post-depletion cooldown to recover your EN bar and jump again. The shield complements this strategy by covering the brief window where you can't avoid attacks because of your depleted EN.
1 Assault Boost + 2 Quickboosts / 1 Jump cycle: The same strategy applies, but instead of using 1 Assault Boost with 2 Quickboosts (or side-boosting during Assault Boosts) during each jump cycle. This can be used for hit-and-run tactics by attacking with close-ranged weapons after Assault Boosting, repositioning with Quick/Side Boosting, and waiting for the EN recovery to restart the cycle.
Both yaba and hokushi are super good now imo
Hokushi was always good
I was surprised by how versatile and forgiving this generator felts compare to the usual options I used for my somewhat heavy weight builds. It significantly lower my burden while the quick recovery given me more chances to get out of nasty situation.
After testing some builds with yaba it feels great and fun to have a consistent defensive and agressive option, in and out of combat without getting caught off guard because of unexpected EN depletion.
I tried to use the alula with an rj and because its jump has great dodge capabilities, if you wait just a millisecond you will have a smidge of EN to perform 3 QBs.
Great work meep!! Can't wait for the hokushi gen review
it is the most balanced generator,
it doesnt excel at anything and is quite beginner friendly, thus the post recovery speed, but also with a low value
so i think the patch just try to adjust it so it can keep up with the speed buff
Yaba and Hokushi were nice in corner cases before but now theres a solid argument for them other than, "it just fit"
This was VERY useful once again Meep, the playstyle seemed super fun :)) Inspired to make some builds around this!
Excellent guide! I tried the 3QB + 1 jump concept on a number of different builds, and now I firmly believe this generator is super slept on (although everyone just runs San-Tai now).
You gotta do a shield play style video. A lot of what you went over in section 4 has been my thoughts and approach to them. But I picked up some interesting tips in even that short section. I’ve even tried the heavy Scutum shield at times but the charge time for it feels bad once it’s down it’s down for a long time
You need an escape either through AB burzel, or using pulse armor
My lightweight can now skybox due to this discovery, great video 😁
excellent content, as always
This actually help me keep up with flying boats missiles it has nice recharge and post recharge allowing me to stay in the air much longer and m chances of dodging dangerous attack
great stuff bro
Very informative video good sir
a red generator w/ coral generator properties
a nice coincidence, or a nice attention to detail
😤 Gotta try this out.
Thank you. Is there anyway I can increse en recovery amount?
Fluegel best booster 💯💯
What fcs would you recommend for AR/Shotgun builds? I’m liking the WLT
If my Arm is NACHTREIHER , I use WLT
But if my Arm is Not NACHTREIHER , I use Talbbot
i heared it get buff
I think you mean you hear it “SECRETLY OP YABA GENERATOR IS THIS BROKEN??!!(NEW META!!??)”
patch 1.03.1
GENERATOR “AG-E-013 YABA”: increased EN Capacity/Supply Recovery/Energy Firearm Spec
Can't VP 20-S/C achieve similar effect with a higher jumping leg?
They certainly have their merits. YABA, for instance, excels in achieving a 3x quick boost-recovery cycle rate per time. On the other hand, VP-20C offers the impressive strength of the NGI booster's 3x QB cycle, albeit with the trade-off of a much longer EN depletion recovery time.
In presenting this information, my aim isn't to make a definition of what's right or wrong. Instead, I humbly offer these insights as a potential pathway to greater efficiency for you.
The generator i cant wrap my head aroumd is the df-gn-02 ling tai . It has less capacity than the freaking starter generator like yeah it has maxed reacharge but u can barely do anyrhing without red lining anyways
I've made it work. Your basically gonna need the ephemira no ifs ands or buts. You'll still be using low burden parts cus even then the output is bad, and you'll probably want the default booster too or the one up from it the P2. But it basically keeps a steady non stop quick boost pattern going, it's great, but limits your options.
I made it work with the HAL core on both tank treads and the wheelchair. The ephemera works too, but it's just too paper thin; also, since this generator's EN output is pitiful (also worse than the starter generator) you really need to conserve as much EN as you can.
@@steeb5884 in response to both comments , I mean yeah it's possible to make it work, but is there actually a single reason you would ever use it over a different generator
Yaba is the name used for meth in Laos & Thailand. Being a name for a generator is quite funny.
Damn, so Yaba is the Ling Tai's big brother?
Yaba? More like yabai.
even before the buff it was pretty good if you were anal about en recharge
