Great work sir! I bought a 1974 mf150 last year and am finally getting around to replacing all the gauges and rewiring everything since it was quite the hodge-podge. I don't know much about the inner workings on engines and how to fix the common issues or even how to look for them. I work a desk job but have a small farm that I can only work on in my free time. I repair all my own stuff, but it usually takes me a long time and alot of youtubers like yourself to teach me how to do it. Thanks for taking the time to show us the progress of this build. I hope you go more in depth in future builds so newbs like me can learn from you.
The 5 ring pistons were found on the the 135 mostly the other after market parts maker for Perkins was vapor matic that repair job can last for another 10yrs or more
What was your total cost for the engine rebuild and machine work and the clutch? I’m in the process of rebuilding my Massey Ferguson 20 and I want to try and budget for the repairs.
you mentioned something about the auxiliary valves. are you able to run the 3pt at the same time as the loader? where are the remotes for the rear connected?
No I can only run one at a time.these are aftermarket. But from what I’ve seen, very popular. It’s plumbed from the aftermarket valve to the rear with quick disconnects.

I hated running the gas version of that tractor... Dumbest thing i ever saw putting a gas tank right on top of the engine where it would heat the fuel to a boil. The tractor i ran would build so much pressure that it would blow the fuel cap gasket and spray vaporized gas all over you. Liked to vapor lock. Diesel might handle it better but idk.

The crank was in was in spec so it didn’t need to be machined so total I would say about $1000. Hope this helps
@@generalprinciple5921 It does, thanks

I’m very sorry I only can speak English, but thank you for the response.
It's crazy someone found a way to destroy that engine in such little hours!
It never ceases to amaze me!
