If you don’t have the mount machine set to the right size can it bend the rim? I just went to a tire shop and after they mount and balanced my tire they said ( Did you know your rim is bent?)
@@cynthiajordan7511 that’s true. Sorry to hear about you rims.
There’s no way that’s Stevie from the ranger video. I refuse to believe it…
@@joekazadi1252 yes. We’ve been moving , new shop, remodel, clearing land and remodel a cottage. Plus all our broncos. Stevie’s is almost done .
Just subscribed after watching only this video - thank you!!
@@NewEnglandRefugee I appreciate it!
Trying to get an idea of curb weight? Long bed and 4x4?
@@DemonicBA I can’t remember the exact weight but I remember it being about the same as a Jetta.
As a dad, I aspire to be as cool as you!
@@cwhsnh7420 that’s too kind. I have my times . He needs discipline sometimes but we only get one go around so spend time with them when we can!!
patching woods-trailer tube, for behind farm tractor, worried about hold of cheap glue- even if rubbed good to help that vulcan. doubt the glue is going to hold but maybe - it's just too far to town / so got try this glue 1st. And thank you for the vid.
Should always turn your tyre ,that way if you missed something in the tyre, your puncture wont be near the patch
I’ve been doing that for 45 years and balancing at home
@@peteharrison9816 awesome.
Dude you are the man great video for farmers like me thanks a bunch
@@tombruce6398 I’m glad it could help!
Ironically, I’m changing a tire on a 1968 case 430. I noticed your tire is quite wider than mine. What state are you in? Why is your tires so wide?
@@Bigfeats1337 well I was in Florida and the tire were just on there when I got the tractor but were definitely too big.
@@generalprinciple5921 That makes sense. Thanks for the vid. Used the backhoe to break the beads. Have one side half off now.
@@Bigfeats1337 I take some practice but it totally doable. I had 16.9’s x24’s on my swamp buggy and had to do quite a a few out in the woods.
@@generalprinciple5921 I bet that is fun. Assuming swamp + tire = muddy tire. I don’t mind the mud, but I would rather play in it than work in it.😉
@@Bigfeats1337 yeah it was a great time in my life. Had a camp and buggy for 25 years.
Excellent
@@stephenhawkins6389 I’m glad it helped.
Great video!!
Thank you
Last video stevie was 8 now he's 25 lol cool ski any way
Thank you yeah it’s been a little bit since we posted
Sweet video!
Thanks
You seem like a great guy. Next time record AFTER the wind storm. ;-)
@@carlrudd1858 just the norm sometimes. But thx.
Now, I know I heard you advise folks to start at the stem side and move their way down - which is correct - but you didn't follow your own advice. Worked out ok, but visuals are everything to some people, and the risk to damage to the stem/core is higher not starting to seat/unseat tires at the stem. Otherwise, solid video!
@@derekmckay7397 typical. Probably just wasn’t paying attention!1
@generalprinciple5921 happens to us all, brother. Folks don't give DIYers enough credit - a tire with a sidewall as tall as that tire you're removing is no joke to remove. You truly make it look much easier than it is...I just did a set myself today - it's not a fun job!
@@derekmckay7397 it’s not to many that will put out the effort!!
@@derekmckay7397 no it’s not. And thank you.
Excellent to see Stevie in action
thank you
This guy is great.
Thanks
The wind in the video was almost unbearable. But thanks for the tips. You wouldn’t think that putting a patch on was that hard till you have to re-do one for the third time. lol
Glad it helped . Yeah I can’t control the weather.
15:30 Lmao The finger waving "NO"' after the spin
Glad you liked it 🤣
Can you post whete you sourced the cvt transmission? I'm assuming the engine is from harborfreight?
Yes sir it was eBay but all that is in the video I believe.
Thanks for this video! Need to patch two tubes
Hope it did you some good.
Glad it helped.
I really like this idea thanks for sharing all of your Tech tips.
Thanks
Wow super cool really got the gears turning in my head and the little Gearhead looked like he'd been doing that for years.
Thanks. Planning VW tdi swap for it next but the little Kubota,s been good though.
took the air fuel piece out and didnt notice the spring right away, couldnt find where the hell its supposed to go. youre the man!
Well… I’m glad it helped.
No ground reference on the AC side of rectifier?
It’s been to long but I don’t remember. I’d have to look at it again.
@@generalprinciple5921 would you mind bro? It looks like you paired up the 2 wires on ac side to rectifier. And on dc side +ve to light and -ve to frame(GND)
@@alecmacpherson9838 yes the ac from the stator went to the 2 wires of ac side of the regulator and the green wire was ground on the regulator and the red wire out went to the positive side of the light. That is all.
Looks good but id never swap a real keihin or mikuni for a china clone.
Yeah I wouldn’t normally either but it is a bigger carb than stock and I used oem jets I have had no problems with it. And I was a lot cheaper then a oem bigger carb
@generalprinciple5921 ah well thats a good. In my videos, I've got a friend for your 100! My 1980 cr80
@@EnglertRacing96 o sweet I’ll check it out
I like the way you work with your son brother that reminds me when I was young and working with my dad
Thank you! I only have one shot it so I’m gonna try.
Nice vid. Look lot kooler if ya had a dual sport number plate light. That's what i plan do to my daughter 04 xr100r
Thanks. my dad likes those.
Would of love to do that with a son of mine! Glad you did
I really enjoy doing this stuff with my son . It’s real gift from god. We just pulled VW 1.9l tdi to reporter this same truck. I’ll have get the video out. Thanks
Can you explain again the woodruff key mod? So you shave 0.3mm from it to increase timing by 2 deg. But wont the flywheel have play in it after?
They make an offset key but we’re impatient. So ground our own and turn the flywheel up against it and then torqued done the flywheel. It could move but hasn’t and son has really tried.
Nice work both by dad and son. Cute little guy assisting his father, looks great❤
Thank you but not so little anymore.
When you get the tire spoon and first start to get the tire off the rim most all people want to set the tire spoon real far away from the first tire spoon..I was so glad you showed to place the second tire spoon just a few inches away from the first spoon....Plus I found yesterday doing my tire that is the magic spot to get your tire spoon into it has a little type void.....Many thanks for showing a different way to remove the back side.... After 20 plus years of the tire being on the rim it is a fight battle to break through rust and severe tire stiffness.
Good , I’m glad it helped!
Just rebuilt a V2003T Kubota for the second time, My compression is low (about 260 PSI)and hard to start cold. All new rings pistons and standard bore sleeves, and had the head and valves pressure tested. How did you break in the rings?
30w diesel oil, heat cycles of 10-20 minutes a piece then cool down. And 2 to 3 oil changes. Then good diesel oil.
great that you include you son. Kids today seem to not know much of anything related to mechanical.
Thank you . We do try!
Mine was missing the spring and flat washer on the fuel mixture screw. I re-assembled from a new kit in this order: spring, rubber washer, flat washer. Is this correct?
No . I m sure it’s spring ,washer then o ring.
Thanks. I was able to change it easily. Also had to replace the cracked carb manifold and install the new idle needle. Runs pretty good now. Thanks for your help/video@@generalprinciple5921
You bet.
Great job 👍🏼
Thank you.
@@generalprinciple5921 no thank you helped immensely 👍🏼 been on a binge of your other videos great content
Glad it helped.
Super awesome. I've been checking the channel Do you have any more updates on the truck? Definitely got my sub let me know if there's a finished video I'd love to see a dyno run on that. I know it's not crazy horsepower but the torque has to be great.
Sorry no dyno runs but I’m sure with this indirectly injected b2203 it’s not making more than 35-38 hp but, it does 30 mpg can run 75-80 mph rung out but it like 45-60. I think there is a finished ish video out however I’m waiting on a manual injector pump for a VW 1.9 tdi I have and I’m probably going to swap it in sometime soon.
Gentlemen my respect
Thanks
Please what song in the start of the video . Thanks
Simple man by lynyrd skynyrd always a good one!
Thank you. Really helpful. 👍🏼
I’m glad it helped!
Oh, one of the bigger engines.
I kinda wish but this is what I had on hand and it’s not doing to bad except maybe could do a little better on mileage. Doing 30 mpg all the time. When time permits might do a VW tdi swap.
@@generalprinciple5921 I meant,”one of the bigger Kubota engines.” Have seen a lot of smaller ones being used in vehicles recently.
Yeah but it seams the larger ones are harder to come by on the used market and the v2203 is pretty popular.
@@generalprinciple5921 no, meant 3 cylinder items of ~ 20 hp. The 2203 is about twice that powerful when normally aspirated, as well as having much more displacement compared to, say, a 722 or 903.
Well the v2203 I have is an older indirectly injected one that made i think 33hp n/a.
Congratulations on a successful build! My grandson and myself are about start an electric to gas conversion. I also was gifted a 48V cart with 8 deader than dead batteries. I had no idea how much batteries had gone up in price! So with that in mind, coupled with wanting mo power, well gas it is! We’ve got frame rust to contend with also. Our cart lived in Bolivar, Texas, at the beach. So rust rust rust! I’ve been pondering whether or not to do a complete axle swap, with an new axle assembly and engine tray mounted to a new swing arm frame or not, but man those $$$ are piling up! I was wondering how you managed the chain tension with your engine/transmission on a rigid frame mount going to a spring mounted axle. Thanks for sharing.
I just copied a gas cart style engine tray and you also can build a spring loaded chain tensioner like a motorcycle if you feel the need to. Good luck.
That is awesome grate work looks good
Thanks 😊
Great video. And great way to spend quality time with your kids; teaching them some real useful life skills! 😁👍👍👍

O yeah I love the way it sounds
How does it do on the interstate?
It does ok it will run 70 pretty good
😲😲😲😲is thare more videos to come glad to see a new post
O yeah there is more to come
Can also use a skid steer bucket to break bead.., just press down with bucket edge. Tire spoons, sledge hammer. It's never this easy :) Maybe if I practiced more. Can run a ratchet strap around the tire circumference to push bead toward rim and minimize air loss if inflating with compressor. On the farm, we spray 2s starting fluid in the tire, out over the sidewall, light and step back.
Yes sir I have done all that it’s never easy
