Helpful video, but what I'm missing is how to disconnect that particular sensor. I'm sure I'm not gripping it right, but I sure don't want to pull on those wires. May I ask which side of the plug has the lever that allows the connector to come free, please?
What is the part number for this video?
I have read the ODY 2004 has 4 sensors, is that correct? I am confused to buy 2 or 4 sensors. (1-up 1-down). OR. (2-up 2-down)
My honda odyssey 01 code its PO131 oxygen sensor low circuit voltage on bank 1 what it mean the wires or the sensor die
What vehicle you working on? No way I could get my arm up to disconnect plug on 02 MDX
Use anti-sieze on those threads?
Is this bank 1 sensor 2? And where is bank 2 sensor 2 please and thankyou
Is 132 code the same as
131 code
I have a Honda Odyssey 2005 and I just got a check engine light for P0420 bank 1. I wanted to know how many sensors does the van have in all?
2 sensors
Are all 2003 honda odyssey o2 sensors compatible?
Hello, Anon. Thanks for reaching out. To answer your question, it's best to order the specific O2 sensor for the location you are looking for. They may have different lengths of wire and various calibrations.
Why is there only 2 sensors? Shouldn't there be 2 upstream and one post cat or down stream?
Depends on the year.
Is that bank 1 sensor 2? That's what's coming up on my 03 ody bank 1 s2
Yes I have a 03 body and have same problem code po137 bank 1 sensor 2 can I get that part at pick and pull you think they'll have it??
@@camerinodelatorre9556 I had the mechanic install a new sensor... pick and pull im not sure if you can tell you're getting a bad sensor or not until you install it.. so new is the way to go
@@camerinodelatorre9556 if you're still dealing with this, it's best to buy a quality 02 sensor. This is one of the time a little extra money is well spent. I ordered
Denso sensors off of RockAuto.
Can power steering fluid leak onto your oxygen sensor causing it to go bad while changing the powersteering hose.. Had the hose changed now my engine light is on which never came on code reading oxygen sensor or did the grimy looking mechanic do something shady..03 Honda ody
Maybe if it dripped on the connector harness. Liquid shouldn’t be able to get into the sensor itself.
>disconnects connector off-camera
It's a standard automotive connector. If you can't handle that, then you shouldn't be under a car.
Just curious to see if the 2002 honda odyssey 02 sensors set up the same way as the 01 in the video?
Same
@@islandbeaches395 it is. Found that out a lil after watching this video, had to do the job myself
Good day Sir. Thank you for your video. I really learnt from it. I do have a question though. My OBD-II
indicated Oxygen Sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Low voltage. I did google the diagram for the Oxygen Sensor for Honda Odyssey 2004. It sowed me that there are two banks and two sensors each. That means (Bank 1: Sensor 1 and Sensor 2) and (Bank 2: Sensor 1 and Sensor 2); however, I can only found two Oxygen Sensors in the exhaust. I cannot find any others in the engine, as the diagram in google was indicating me. It informed that the upstream or bank 1 is connected to the engine, at the side of the cylinder 1. And the downstream is connected to the exhaust. Could you please confirm that there are only two oxygen Sensors and not four?
I will really appreciate your feedback.
Thank you.
Jose
I own a 2001 and indeed has only one bank with two sensors.
@@alekshernandez2 Is that the same for ODY 2004? I am confused to buy 2 or 4 sensors. (1-up 1-down). OR. (2-up 2-down)
Ol
Part #?
I have Honda Pilot 2009 has light came engine check light also vtm4 what is this anybody help me out that would be help me to solve my problem
did you end up getting the problem fixed?
Can you feel a missfire? I would start by changing to good sparkplugs doing an injection cleaner
I have a same problem . My friend told me when did you repair o2 sensor problem with 4x4 will be solved
You are absolutely correct fluids will destroy the 02 sensor.
You are as stupid as he is they get exposed to more then just oil down there 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have 2003 Honda Odyssey Scanned code P0138 is this upstream or downstream oxygen sensor. thanks a lot.
Service information defines that code as: DTC P0138: Secondary HO(2)S (Sensor 2) Circuit High Voltage. I would start by testing the downstream tester.
Mr. H. Lozares. i have tge same vehicle and the down stream is the one farthest from the motor
@@BWDbrand Hi my code for 2000 Odyssey is P1456 (evap system leak). I am getting horrendous gas mileage- around 11 miles/gallon. Could it be the o2 sensor gone bad?
