Mr. Revere, you have made an amazing choice of the state of Oregon. Plus, spending such valuable time with your son traveling this awesome and beautiful country is something I very enviously wish I would've done! More power to you! 💯
When I saw you were here earlier this year I couldn't wait for this to drop! Beautiful work Rob! If you're at the Expo next time I'll need to try to say hi! Also loving the music in this one!
Moved to Oregon from Arizona 10 years ago. First adventure was to Crater Lake. It was all fogged in and couldn’t see it so I hiked the mile down to touch the water. ❤
that AI drone song 🤣😂 banger upload.. have you ever watched any "C90 adventures" videos? give him a look, hilarious, quite unbelievable, 'overlanding' .. cheers!
We ran into a less severe leak early in the season this year with our little one and was worried we’d end up in the middle of no where with no where to clean bedding as well. Started buying the Pampers Swaddlers Overnight and they worked really well for the rest of the season. Can’t wait to try to do potty training on the trail next summer, yikes 😅
Was neat for me to see this one. Started out good but then you met up with Will (I've seen some of his videos on Idaho. Mostly parts of the state I've not seen myself). The name Lemelo Lake was pulling at my memory...had to look it up after I watched your video. I camped just a few miles north of there at another lake earlier this year. I think the Bigger lake you guys stopped at is Big Lake. I was there a month or two ago. I think I have identified the campground where you stayed at Detroit. Only ever been along the highway side of the lake myself. And the final surprise for me was the place you visited in wine country. Evergreen Aviation is almost in my back yard (okay a handful of miles from my actual back yard) and a few hundred yards from where my wife works. Now, this was already a really good video. I seldom watch one as long as this and yet when it was getting near the end I was thinking...no...don't end yet...I want more. The knowledge that you visited near (or in one case at) areas I have explored made it just that much cooler for me. Great job.
That’s awesome! Big Lake is correct. Side note: when I initially read this the part “started out good but then you met up with Will” made it sound like it went downhill when he showed up 😂
@@RevereOverland Yeah, that Will guy...I dunno. I'm kidding. I am absolutely kidding. In everything I've seen he seems a right good human being and someone anybody would be fortunate to be able to call friend.
Great film Rob, as per usual. Love seeing you explore my home state, and seeing places I have been to many times. I will only add a friendly comment that its pronounced Will-AM-ette, not Will-UH-mette. Cheers!
Close to 75k miles on it now. The only unavoidable problem was the mirror camera falling out. It was a common problem in early models, so they fixed it free out of warranty. My biggest problem was the fuel line leaking, but I’d been putting off the recall that would have prevented it.
Mostly yes. I’ve seen motivated drivers in Honda Civics and similar front wheel drive cars on street tires out there. There are some spots where clearance may be an issue.
They've been great in the snow. They're louder and get worse mpg than the Nitto Recon Grapplers, despite being 35s, but they're also an inch wider which probably doesn't help.
@@RevereOverland I may have to rethink about recon grabbler. Thanks and enjoying your trip. Next time you ought to bring battery chainsaw. It really work trust me and it does not take up your space 🤦♂️
It tows fine and can handle the trails, but stops me from exploring side roads. With the Tundra buildout and just the two of us it's completely unnecessary, but I hope to borrow one again with the GX.
I hope trailers don't become the norm on trails. I think it takes the fun out of off roading. Dragging all the convenience of home into the woods...stay home. Just my opinion. Great video though.
I’ve never been bothered by someone else having a trailer. There was the one time a line of them wouldn’t move over to let me by, but they were going ridiculously slow and were being particularly selfish. Most people move over, so I think that was a person problem, not a trailer problem!
Whether something is worth it is relative to income and use scenario/situation. For me, no. I don’t make enough and mostly only camp with me and my son. For the other two families there it might well be, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see either of them buy a trailer.
If you’re looking for a trailer and have the money to spend then I think spending the extra is definitely worth it. I had a $30k trailer from one of the big RV stores and it was a piece of garbage that would fall apart on the interstate. I didn’t do a single trip with it without having to fix multiple things. You definitely pay for what you get. The one I borrowed was obviously built so much better and will far outlast the cheap ones, even used off road.
What a beautiful location. I also have to say you are such a good dad!!!! Love these videos with your son. Very heartwarming as a mother. I do have a question I see you have a camera on your bumper, is it the insta360? What adapter and bar are you using? Like that view!
While I was looking for a trailer that I could pull with the Jeep Grand Cherokee limited, I looked at all these super fancy high-end off-road trailers. Purely on a whim I stopped at a local RV dealership and found the IBEX 10 LHG I paid $28,500.00 that included the FSR HighCountry tent, RhinoRack rooftop rack system, Batwing 270 awning, Joolca HotTap, Truma fridge, Dometic two burner cooktop, 32gallon fresh water within filtration and D/c pump and outdoor spray port, inverter, 110V outlets, USB-A ports, 2-12V ports, LED lightning, large propane tank, JBL bluetooth speaker, external 200w solar, and a conventional A/C roof Unit with heat strip, which I had replaced with a MaxAir fan, tire pressure monitoring system. Substantially cheaper than almost every one of these small cottage industry overlanding trailer. Now it’s manufactured by an RV company so I knew that I would have to fix things build quality would not be as good. All that being said the trailer is far more capable off-road than my Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk it tows excellent it has a greater cargo capacity than what I need as it is a mini toy hauler. And pretty much does everything the cottage industry trailers do; and being a mechanical engineer I would venture to say that my suspension and frame is just as capable if not more capable than most of the “off-road” trailers I have seen. My only concern is the stapled together luan and particle board interior parts. But I am working on an upgrade for that currently. So cost depends on your personal needs, budget, and how much upgrades/repairs you’re willing to deal with. And now 3 years on the road full time in this trailer and my only issue I had to deal with is the cheap wood cabinets and some minor issues with condensation lately.
Loved this video. I giggled when you said Willamette.😅 Your boy is adorable, and he's going to love the outdoors when he grows up.
Thanks! I certainly hope he does!

Thanks! It’s a beautiful state, and traveling with my son is the best way to experience it!
Absolutely stunning area that I have yet to explore. You have inspired me yet again
You've got to! It's not too far from you!
@ not at all!
We had a blast having a huge family trip this this. We might need to make it an annual thing.
As I mentioned to Will when I met him at Overland rally last year, this is all my backyard and places I grew up adventuring in.
Lucky!
awesome Rob!
thanks for bringing us along for the adventure.
Cheers!
Thanks for watching!

Also loving the music in this one!
Great job telling your story, really enjoyed it. cheers
Thank you!
One of your better videos. First, in my backyard, and secondo appreciate the gear tips.
Thank you!
Wow, the music video was amazing! I rewatched it twice! Love it man!
Great content, your son and yourself are identical to my son in 1989, I was 29 and he was 2.5, he’s all hairy and 38 now, I’m 65, your a great dad…
That’s awesome! Hopefully my son still enjoys this when he’s all hairy too.

I didn’t even know you could hike down to the edge, but now I want to.
I truly appreciate your culinary choices.
My gosh, Oregon is so beautiful, if I ever have to live in the US for some reason, this is where I put up my base. Or in any part of the PNW :D
We’re a big fan of the Bend area in Oregon.
I have drove the road from Lemolo lake to summit lake many times. Great drive. Awesome video
It certainly is a great drive!
First a very cute kid, second a nice rig!
Thank you!

Lol. I’ll have to check it out!
Aaaarrraha-gin. ehehe. Love the video. The kido is having so much fun.
Thanks!
This is on my list of to do areas. great video.
Good to hear. It’s a really cool area to explore.
I don't know what music subscription you use but nice choices.
Thanks! Licensing those tracks wasn’t cheap, so hopefully the video does well lol
Very different music! 🎶🎶🎼🎤🎸
Yeah I changed it up for this one! The usual stuff didn’t feel right.

Like a peasant! LOL!!!
Should have used snow chains. 🤪
You of all people would know, considering how many people tell you to use them!
How many miles do you have on your truck? Have you ever had any major issues with the truck?
Close to 75k miles on it now.

DJI is great about repairing and replacing. I hope they can figure out what caused the thing to go mental.
These trails/roads don't look too rugged. Do you feel a awd camping van would make it through?
Mostly yes. I’ve seen motivated drivers in Honda Civics and similar front wheel drive cars on street tires out there. There are some spots where clearance may be an issue.
How do you like your new shoes AT4W so far? Also where did you get your phone mounts above your navigator?

Do you live in Oregon and what part? I’m asking because I’m looking for a couple of buddies to go out off-roading and overlanding in Oregon.
I don’t! I actually live in Kentucky.
How do you feel about towing the trailer?

Saludo de 🇦🇷
Welcome!
Wait, how we're able to play Chris Stapleton on your vid?
I paid to license it from Likd!
And Green Day. Love it all...just curious
@@RevereOverlandThank you. So good
So add $55k for a trailer to pull round. It can't really be worth that, can it?
Whether something is worth it is relative to income and use scenario/situation.
For me, no. I don’t make enough and mostly only camp with me and my son. For the other two families there it might well be, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see either of them buy a trailer.
