That loco was built to last. I could see that truck hopping when you first put it on the track and gave it power. You did it justice though even if it was some trial an error fitting up the drive gear. Runs smooth now.
Yes, Ann Margaret, she made movies with Elvis Presley, she traveled to Vietnam many times with Bob Hope to entertain the troops, she starred in the movie "Tommy" (The Who), Bye Bye Birdie and many more. Ann Margaret was big time from the 60's into the 90's. Check out the movie "Viva Las Vegas" with Elvis.

Ron, remember if these trains were working on a railroad they would not have perfectly lined up handrails etc.. Don't be too hard on yourself.. I do it often, trying to make things look right.. I would love to know where you got the end boards with the handrails... I need some for my RS-3. You might need to adjust the tree at the curve leading into the straight as the loco and wagons all touched it and turned it as they went past @49:23 onwards... You did a fantastic job on this loco Ron.

Well Ron, that was a journey and a half, and I enjoyed it. The old Hobbytown locomotives had some interesting engineering, but they were built to last. Emagine having to put these together from scratch with a set of kit plans not to mention the painting. Great job putting the finishing touches on and ending up with a fantastic runner. Ann Margret did one of her movies with Elvis and spent allot of time on the Johnny Carson show plus she is 83 now and 10 years older than me, lol. By the way I just noticed my call sign in the member credits so thanks, Jersey Bill.

Hi Ron, i believe an easy way to tell them apart is the Rs2 has the fuel tank under the cab and the filler on the bottom of the cab, rs3 has the fuel tank under the long hood and fuel filler there as well, the reason rs1 was made for so long is due to the unreliability of the other models engine's. I love the Hobbytown locomotives, i have an rs3 and an E7.
I'll give you a modellers award for enthusiasm, grit and determination and pure entertainment.😁

Plenty of good engineering there with performance to match. (Tip. Keep your compass away from the re-magger when pressing the button or you could mess up IT'S magnetism or reverse the poles!) Speaking of magnets, i put one in my tray when disassembling a model. That way, when i knock the lot onto the floor, 95% of the, usually small, parts are still in one place, on the magnet! 🤠
