Definitely one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, it seems surreal to me now finding out that Daphne played Ladybug
One of the best stop animations ever created ❤
This movie is a Classic!
"Coming to theaters everywhere Spring 1996"
April 12th is when james and the giant peach came to theaters
Rated PG.
David is such a good actor. I just found out today he did the voice for earthworm and was the evil scientist in Dinotopia. I had to look up pictures. You can tell it’s him but he is so good at his role that I had never associated him with his character at all. I honestly hated that character so much as a little kid. He was very believable to me. Its truly amazing what an extraordinary and talented human being he is. ❤️🥺
I love this movie.
Me Too
I Love James And The Giant Peach too
Robert Treacy Me 3
Me too! It's my favourite movie!
I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE REMUS LUPIN IS THE VOICE OF EARTHWORM
Or that Matt Hooper from Jaws was the Centipede?
What about Professor Sprout as Both Aunt Sponge and the Glow worm?
Is he?!!!!
@@brandonjohnston5541 Don't forget Fly in Babe.
He also played Einon in DragonHeart.
R.I.P. Mark Elliot
2:33, absolutely fabulous
I read the book and watched the film, and it was great.
Andy Partridge, of the British pop group XTC, was originally tapped to write the songs for this film. When Partridge backed out over the compensation he was offered, the producers called on Randy Newman instead after Toy Story became a hit. Partridge eventually released demo versions of the four songs he composed for the film. Henry Selick initially considered doing the whole film in stop-motion, but ultimately decided on a blend with live-action to cut down on costs. This is the only Disney's live-action-animated hybrid film to be scored by Randy Newman. This is the only film scored by Randy Newman to be rated PG by the MPAA. The second Disney's live-action/animated hybrid film to be rated PG by the MPAA, after Who Framed Roger Rabbit. This film took twelve years to reach the screen. Roald Dahl himself was convinced that the property would never make a viable film.
4:18-4:19 Look Out Below!
I know that. I seen Animation Lookback.
nice - looking at the making of the film of the james and the giant peach 1996 promo (vhs capture ) !!!
0:46 The "That's the Life" instrumental playing in the background is helping me learn the song.
From the director of the nightmare before Christmas and the producer of Batman, Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands and the author of Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory and the big friendly giant
The narrator should've said that in the video
From director Henry Selick, producer Tim Burton, and author Roald Dahl, comes James and the Giant Peach
2:52 Wow, Susan looks so gorgeous in her mid 40s, and she was fantastic as Miss Spider
We need a reunion of James and the giant peach
Including Paul Terry!
@@zeldafan1942 yeah

2:33 That's creepy
The smile of Joanna Lumley?
I'm crying because I only saw this movie once.
+kevin byrne You can get the movie on Amazon.com.
Don't worry. In a way, you can see it anytime you want.
Kevin Byrne 3:28 who saw the iceberg that sank the RMS titanic
Kevin Byrne if you have Disney+ you can watch it
Recently started watching Frasier, so I was surprised to learn that Miss Ladybug was Daphne.
There's a video of me singing "My name is James" when I was 5 years old lol
happy 25th anniversary james and the giant peach!!! :3
For the scene where the peach crushes Spiker and Sponge, how did they crush the car without risking injury to the actresses? Did they use models? Not that I like the villainesses, just that when we're younger, we root for the heroes, and when we're older, we sort of sympathize with the villains! Long story short, curiosity is why I'm asking!
2:52 her last name is SaranDON, not SaranDAN
I think Lupin from Harry Potter voices a character but idk who.
Earthworm :P
This movie kicks ass.
Classic 1996
They should’ve used this as a sneak peek on a Disney VHS
I would watch anything with Joanna Lumley in it
always hated that they didnt show richard dreyfuss recording lines for centipede
Same here. I’d love to find an interview with him on voicing the centipede.
I still kinda wish James had stayed a live actor like initially planned. I guess that's why I like the ending so much.
0:03 What’s the name of the music playing in the background?
Paul Terry is my doppelgänger.
at 2:28 love simon callow with all my heart
1:33 Centipede Sounds Different Here! I Wonder Who Voiced Him? It Can't Be Dreyfuss Considering That The Voice Actor Sounds Nothing Like Dreyfuss!
2000 VHS
2010 DVD
Taken from the behind the scenes of James and the giant peach
Whats your favorite character is Mr. Centipede, what's yours?
LadyBug
Gotta be Aunt Spiker
That one person you see on the street. Earthworm
I love them all, theyre extremely well developed
Jack Skellington from, " the nightmare before Christmas" he was the pirates in James and the Giant peach
I love this movie
This claims to be "captured from the James and the Giant Peach (1996) VHS tape".
Me and my family used to have a VHS copy from the 90s in our collection and it didn't have this?
I think this is on the Gold Classic VHS of the movie from 2000.
Daphne Moon was the Ladybug?!
Brian Cummings: From the Director of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993) 0:25
I like the voice narrator who’s telling all this
The film should've just been solely in stop motion.
Good.
Jenna Lummy from Pink Panter
LOVE SIMON CALLOW WITH ALL MY HEART AND ALWAYS WILL
Paul Terry stopped acting after this when Miss spider bit him.
He should have continued (only this time without bugs)
Well, he did take part in some project in 1998 but that was it.
which sucks
Which is odd because how many other movies would he of had to work with spiders?
@@blockbusterlady5993 Arachnophobia?

One of Burton and Selick’s more lighthearted offerings, in contrast to TNBC. If James wasn’t a musical and if it had stuck closer to the book, it probably would’ve been MUCH worse
Yeah, it definetly would've been too short and made way less sense than it already is had they done that
I love the 70s version better! it’s more lighthearted
This version is lighthearted somewhat
