- A Totally unnecessary Documentary of The Vast HillDale Farm Wheat harvest [one acre]. We grow the wheat, both hard and soft wheat, for our fine ladies to grind into flour and make flapjacks, biscuits, bread, and cookies and cakes. Check out our videos about cleaning the wheat,[winnowing]then grinding the flour and cooking flapjacks.
Well done, entertaining and informative.
Hey, glad you are enjoying the videos. Thanks for your positive feed back, be sure to hit the thumbs up and share the videos with your friends.
Love the old 40 and the FLAG!
God bless you and your Camera Woman My favourite part of the video is in the credits when you gave God the glory for your wheat that is refreshing to see and it encouraged me !
My second favourite part of the video was when you flipped the turbo switch and near as I could tell you almost hit Mach one but you had to slow down a bit to make that turn 😂
Keep that old iron running!
I ran a 45 back in western Colorado in the 70’s. No cab, very dusty. I rebuilt most of it and some of my best memories are of combining oats
I'm 28(in 3 weeks I will be) and I honestly genuinely wish that times was simpler like a few decades ago. Too much technology these days, just about every industry relies on tech and computers to stay in business, back then in my opinion all ya needed was some mechanical knowledge and a little but a muscle as well as self will power and you could do just about anything.
Glad your camera person caught you firing up that Green machine. Great work.
Great video, Hi from Essex 🇬🇧 Uk. Nice to see the Confederate battle flag flying 👍
Keep 'er flying son. Luv it.
Great to see them old machine still running. A lot of people don't understand where all their flour actually comes from other than a damn grocery store. Good to see you still flying the flag for Dixie.
The flag of our homeland
Love the video, especially like the opening with your best friend !
So glad you enjoyed!
Bill, I stumbled onto your channel and I really like it.
Your family being Christian as mine is also Wife and I both saved in 1959.
And we trust the Lord everyday for everything we do.
I have been praying for a Christan to come to us thru UA-cam.
Well here ya are welcome Brother. We live in the Mountains of West Virginia.
Hi Jim, glad you found us. I'm trying to include enough of the gospel to "plant some seeds" and leave the increase to Lord. l would appreciate your prayers.
My wife's parents are from West Virginia, Mom from Romney, Dad from up in Wierton.
Love to see that combine running , flap jacks and biscuits will make you fat or a little fatter 👍🇬🇧
Love the old combine, looks to be a pretty clean sample.
Best regards from Indiana.
Hey Farmer Bill, I'm glad to hear from you! We're pleased with how the old combine performs.
Started as a 11 year old in west central Minnesota back I mid 60's 1959 JD harvesting oats wheat barley..did thousands of acres they were a very reliable combine and yes no cab just an umbrella ...dust dirt noise and hot...keep her greased and it will run
I enjoy watching your videos more than the high dollar machine old the better and anyone can work on them great video sir I will definitely keep watching and happy harvest sir
Its great to see old farm equipment in action.......instead of at the local auction ! But !!!!!!!!!! Its interesting in this case and so many others the farmer finds so many " other " things to do then farm ! Relating to cleaning up...basic maintenance .....repairs around the farm. Then... farmers complain they cant make a living farming.
This video reminds me so much of my own son..... last count....... 17 flat tires on the farm / place. ( I guess the tires are flat so no one steals his equipment ? Spends more time carrying the air bomb around inflating tires then farming. ) Battery cables cracked in need of repair. ( spends more time under the hood trying to make contact with the battery ) . Fight for hours to remove a simple bolt......but no lub. / oil in sight ! A torch... but no gas to operate it with.
Hey......this guy is getin her done though !!!!!!
Greetings from Germany 😎👍 i grew Up with these harvesting machines.
John Deere Green. My uncle use to run a 105 years ago. Keep the grasshoppers for the WEF to eat.
It just doesn’t get any better. God bless
Best video I've seen!
Great video. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
I rode one of those open station JD's with my step-grandpa a lot in the early seventies. I couldn't tell you what model it was though.
Well that was quite rewarding.
The Ol #40 is in mighty fine condition!
I’m debating whether to go with self propelled or maybe just a #35 pull type. Even those tend to take up considerable real estate under a roof!
Love your faith and your willingness to share it, just keep pray’n!
Again I say, Bless’ns, Tedd
Love your video comedian - farmer lol
good old classic combine
I used to run a little massy without a cab running 45s never run a 4o before
I love this!!
Thanks, keep watching!
Very similar to a JI case 600. Many hours on that thing. Good times!
Great video John Deere
Glad you enjoyed it
They make a screen filter that goes on that sediment bowl that fits up in the tank that stops that rust and trash from pluging the fuel bowl. There ten buck ,I have them on my tractors they work great
Thanks for the tip.
verry good
Thanks
Good flag
Dusty part was especially wheat going into feeder housing rising straight up into your face
Thats why face mask were made ? Trump never existed back then !!!!!!
Have you all been pulling any this year.
No, been too busy, when we do we'll put up a video.
Nice
Thanks
I love the old combines because there is now GPS harvesting system no computer's to monitor or operate the system. The old combines was built to operate straight forward and the farmers had more freedom and not a robot to the technology.
Preach it Timothy!👍👍
@@so.md.dirtfarmer2226 okay I will the company's that designs the combines over the years designed and improved the combines until the 1990's when the company's designer's started coming up with the ideal to put electronic controls on the combines upping the cost. The by 2000 the designer's started putting computers to monitor the combined system then GPS to map out there fields for a much better harvesting and more crop yield. This increased the cost to the combines with a price tag of millions of dollars for a computerized piece of farm machinery. Farmers back in the day did not need a computerized GPS field mapping. The farmers just knew how much crops that their fields was going to yield pure acre they knew how many bushes the hopper's would hold pure acre. As far as farming goes many farmers back then farmed thousand's of acre just as the do today the only one differents is the combines none computerized to computerized combines. The millennial generation farmers can't farm without the computerized farm machinery the older generation farmers has learned to adapt. There is one other different's a farmer back then could work on their combined's to they need technicians to work on them.
That's an JD 40 ain't it my friend TomMcevoy had he harvested everything with it
One thing about old equipment lasting so long is because if it moved it had a grease fitting and gave you a chance to bearings, belts, chains, etc. before things went wrong
Built with better steel, simpler and could see/hear the issues...I dint buy new paint..Most my tractors are 40 years old and still doing the job..
Love the flag . History not hate
The flag of my southern Homeland, my Dixieland
A Totally necessary* Documentary of The Vast HillDale Farm Wheat harvest.

i wonder if he understands the irony of flying the rebel flag and celebrating the 4th of july? lol
Absolutely, the so called ''civil war'' was the 2nd war for independence. We fly the flag 'cause we dearly love the south, who were fighting for preserving our rights and freedoms that were outlined in the constitution. We love the south for many other reasons also, southern hospitality, southern cooking, nice friendly people, longer days, warmer weather, etc.....
There is no irony,Our country was found on inpendence and when our gov begins to impede on that independence people revolt .Just the Americans against the British and just like Agricultural based state like primarily in the south against states rights. The government was instituting more and more taxes on the exporting of Agricultural good over season the south didn't like.
THE SOUTH SHALL RISE AGAIN
They lost last time and the federal governments military is a large as ever.
@@winstonpoplin yeah look at your government at work now how f***** are you now
@@winstonpoplin When all hell comes it wont matter..
We have seen no verifiable evidence for any gods or hells so not much sense there. But we do have evidence for humans pushing through whatever troubles they encountered for the last 350,000 years so im gonna go with the facts.
@@winstonpoplin I would love to be a fly on the wall the day you get to meet the good Lord and explain to him exactly what your telling us. But I'm not judging that is between you and the good Lord on Judgment Day.
