How to train crew for broken people 1. Buy a tank 2. Take 1000 match to 100% the crew 3. Take 5000 match until you finally got your crew skill mastered 4. Outcome your terrible 20% winrate
never play pz4h as a new player or else holy shit your wr will no joke go to 20% and the grind to the next tier takes so long and so many games that your wr will be permanently affected. half a year later and im still at like 43%
Spotting on malinovka tends to be a disaster - since what little early damage your team gets is offset by the fact that your teammates stop while the enemies keep climbing, meaning that 9 games in 10, you give the enemies the hill for free.
No, not true on at all. If you spot all of the enemies, and your team shoots the enemies so that they are left on something like 2/4 / 3/4 of their health, it is an advantage. Plus, not everytime you would want to go directly on hill, what if there are 3 clickers? Plus, Camping on Malinovka to watch the hill is a common thing, and you can get raped from the TDs.
That's happened so many times for me but generally in tier ten people won't make that mistake. It's a problem when your heavies stop in shoot lol but it's great spotting for meds/tds
karlc267 well it's is the top tier, and top is best!! I was working up the Russian Lights but haven't played for a while as it's British Heavy whilst the mission is there!!
Quicklybaby, this was one of your best videos of late. I strongly prefer commentary and insight over a stat-fest of armour values and shell penetration values. 5 stars. This was genuinely entertaining and interesting.
Maps don't favor the pure scout anymore. Only two maps that I can think of that you can actually do passive scouting with any amount of success. It has turned into World of Medium Tanks and a little bit of World of Armored Tanks with the latest additions of the super heavies with a ton of armor. Would love to see more map variety that would favor different forms of game play.
This is why I quit. It used to be that a tier 6 light could still be effective in a tier 9 match if you knew the maps well. Now passive scouting is only possible in a select few locations, and mediums do it better anyway. WG decided to make lights perform like mediums, take away passive scouting, remove the unique matchmaking and turn all the maps into corridors. So much for being one of the most skill-dependant classes of vehicle. Dumbed down like everything else. Thanks WG.
Great video! Nice that you finally show something that is not hull down or sidescraping ;-) Aggressive play. Bit lucky. Nice to actually have teammates who understand how to help you after you decide to help them instead of the normal...which is...they just pull back and watch you die. By the way...clutchbraking is better then off-road-driving. Peace.
Such great information! Thus far I've learned to hide behind bushes to conceal muzzle fire and not be spotted, and how to immobilize and hurt a tank that is more powerful. Alongside the crew skills I have, this will boost my capabilities in my AMX Chaffee- hello from Xbox!
I really enjoy playing LTs. I think spotting is under-rated. It seems a lot of people think the meta just doesn't support scouting. I tend to think vision control is still important and I try to do scouting whenever maps are conducive to it. Getting a team that takes advantage of spotting and racking up assistance damage is very rewarding, for me. I make no claims to being a great player, but I think I'm competent in LTs. I think a problem with LTs for a lot of players is the higher skill cap for the class. A lot of people start out in LTs, since that's mostly what lower tiers are, and they don't know the game well enough and don't know maps, or how to effectively play a LT. Poor LT play can be very punishing, so they're left with a negative opinion of LTs. I know that was my experience with them, but when I eventually got back to them, I feel I am usually pretty decent in LTs because now I know the game, maps, etc.
AustriaGamed what about that time you did 14k spotting and no one saw the replay! If a tree falls in the woods and no ones there did it make a sound? If you did 14k spotting and no one saw it, did it really happen? Stop begging for others to justify your existence! If you are so desperate for affirmation from complete strangers perhaps you should do some self-reflection and have a few heart-to-heart chats with those closest to you because that's where the problems lie!
T100LT, vents, bia, camo crew, food, and camo net gives mine a stationary camo rating of 51.99. The tank is a beast if your team is switched on, with the right map.
The bush u sit in with T100 LT is very-high risk and reward is not that bigger then stopping a bush sooner. From the other side i usually try to rush D6 area with scouts - you are not protected from this kind of move as ur left side is not inside the bush... i rather tend to stop a bush sooner as its safer against that counter move and you still get close enough to get good spots. Anyway if you manage to get to this position while enemy LT goes camp forest or scout water, its a jackpot
Great video. While I enjoy playing lights I find success is often very map dependent. Plus the model of tank also highly important (ever go one-on-one with a Bat Chat in a reloading T49 and no where to run, for example). Being out in front has it's disadvantages. I hope you'll feature more scouting best practices, and perhaps in non-Tier 10 models.
ive honestly never approved of the tier 10 light tanks coming into the game primarily because of how the implemented them. They weren't stronger than what we already had for the most part. They just simply nerfed ALL the awesome tier 8 lights we loved and gave all those stats to the tier 10s. which in my opinion, was rather crappy of them. for example 72km/h speed was considered pretty standard on most tier 8 lights before tier 10 lights were introduced. now, the tier 10s are virtually the only ones with that speed with possibly a small exception to a couple tanks. M41 bulldog for example was an absolute joy to use before they came in and now its really quite weak and disheartening.
The bulldog was my absolute favorite light. Good speed, camo, and not forgetting that 10-round clip. Turned more than a few games around with it. Just sold it and purchased the T71DA to get some of that old magic back.
I love my light tanks even after the mm changes and normally I play them as a pure passive scout with binos and cammouflage net. Only my T-54 light has a more active setup with optics vert stabs and rammer. Just short of 35.000 xp are missing for the T-100 LT and i am really looking forward to get my hands on it.
Will and Tanya hope you are enjoying Tank Fest, looking forward to Tanya's video(s) about the event. If you are like me, below average, then go scout and watch this video again for comparison. I use Tier VII or below, so my scout tank is small, quick (power-weight), fast (65 KPH) and dressed with max camo. Even though the guns on light tanks are a bit wimpy by the time scouting is over its time for cleanup and support. Sneaking up behind an IS-3 and tickling his behind is fun, trying to stay alive is a satisfying challenge. GLHF
Played my tiger one for the first time in a while and first game was t9 and I came out on top as the underdog with 3k damage and 2k spotting it does feel good
QB as an average player who seems to get shot up by scouts frequently I wish they had less powerful guns so they would have to actually scout. Scout vehicles in the real world have guns powerful enough to get them out of trouble but if you go playing main battle tank mode with them you die. Not in WOT. Masterful game as usual, keep up the good work sir.
I'm full of salt on this, QB. You make it look so easy. On another note, I got my "Load the Gold" shirts last night. They're nice. Thanks so much for not skimping on the quality of the shirts.
I like these videos. Sometimes I forget I stopped playing two years ago. I found a strategy to win around 2/3 games by passive scouting, but it only works on low tiers. I love the game but the stratification of players at my skill level vs. unicorn is just too great for the game to be fun. I have written long forum posts on how the match maker could match player skills instead of vehicle attributes to match players of similar skill levels. Let "for fun" players like me play with my peers and you unicorns would be forced to play against people you can't bully. Short of that the game is simply more fun to watch than actually participate. In the long run it means WG will get no money from me or anyone else like me.
The key thing you need, which QB fails to mention, is a team that will actually shoot at what you spot rather than lemming training up one side or camping the back of the map.
Is my perception right or wrong....every since the big update it seems to me that the cost to play this game has gone thru the roof. Now in upper tier games unless you do a ton of damage you are going to lose mega credits to restock and repair your vehicle. Before if you just average 2000 or so damage you received a plus of credits, now you lose 20000 - 40000 credits or way more. what gives ???? Not everyone is going to do 8000 damage a game. It is almost to the point where they are pricing the game out of existence. I've already heard of others leaving the game for good because of this.. Just played a game and caused over 2100 damage and ended up losing over 45,800 credits because of resupply and repair. Ridiculous !!!!!
I have not noticed this, but I usually don't run premium consumables (coffee, chocolate, ect.). I do expect to lose credits if I use premium ammo but only manage ~2000 dmg though.
Be nice to see matchmaking that considers what tank you're in and give you better scouting maps for lights, corridor for heavies and meds can fill the gaps.. obviously not every game but 1 in 5 instead of 1 every blue moon
I want the t100lt as my next light tank. I will be happy with that and my 13 105 :) 13 105 Is great, but i want that mobility and extra camo the t100lt has.
one thing i like to ask, if someone can think about, where is the enemy's sheriden at the beginning of the battle? If I do as QB, there should become a light tank fight at the middle.
Can you send this to warscaming and ask them to put this in as a mandatory watch before every light and medium tank player must watch this before they play the battles please!!!???
I know most people choose one or the other with optics. But has anyone ever tried taking both the coated optics and periscope to get both benefits if playing as a pure scout? Would there be a marked benefit? Just throwing an idea.
Ive only got to playing the French autoloading light tanks so far, and I put vertical stabilisers, coated optics and binocular telescope (need to investigate if its better to put on vents or not), given you cant put a rammer on an autoloader, and it seriously pushes my passive scouting to a new level. Just need to get more crew xp for skills and some food :P
AlexMLB35 The French LT are the most combat capable of all the LT because of their autoloader. I run Vents, Stabs and Optics with a 2 skill + 80% crew on my 13 105, resulting in quite an amazing overall vehicle. It is a true baby Bat Chat; trade firepower for mobility. The 5.46 second unload time is godlike for 1170 alpha.
I had a great scout in the ru 251, but then the tanks changed an i had a useless tier 9... never really got back into lights since most are not effective and only one or two are exciting
There are no such things as "Pure scouts" and dare I say even just "Scouts" in WoT anymore. Everything has view range, everything has the ability to scout (even passively). The only upside of playing light tanks is that they usually are very fast and small targets, hard to shoot and very slippery. (Just my two cents)
I downloaded the 1.4 test, and it looks like the EBRs are pretty insane, when you have 6 of them on each side, and they are zipping around everywhere, crazy! I am on my way to getting the grille 15, and it was nearly impossible to do anything with it because I was getting taken out so reliably by EBRs especially, them lighting me too. It sucked. Obviously if there is only 1 like I hope it will be like when 1.4 drops (and after several days when people get them) I dont think its going to be as big of a problem.
Hi man, I'm on 13000-ish games and I've only just started to be able to use LT's effectively for the team... lol. they where too fast for me too, I would drive myself strait into trouble... lol
Do you think the T-100 LT is worth getting as compared to the T-54 Ltwt? I'd love to hear your opinion, because I think the T-54 Ltwt is slightly better overall and I'm not too interested in graduating to the T-100 LT. While the T-100 LT is a better scout the T-54 Ltwt seems to have better combat capabilities, not to mention it is the heaviest light tank in the game (besides the old awful panzer). Also the T-54 Ltwt has an extra crew member so you don't need to put situational awareness on your commander (quicker training of that precious view range skill). As well the T-54 Ltwt is a tier 9, so it gets better MM.
several last months I have serious issues to get proper scout maps. I found a pattern in that mysery. I get the best scout maps only in super heavy tanks...
Light tanks do need a buff in some way shape or form. And some light tanks got their special features taken away from them. IE the vk 28.01. It used to have a “durp gun” and played like the t49. SP 1 C. Used to have a 2 shell 90mm autoloader, and before that it had 3 shells. And the biggest one of them all, the RU 251. Used to have a 80kmh top speed and the best dpm for a light tank. Now it’s 70kmh, which is still good but a bit sad. If I had to buff light tanks, their guns should be equal to all the same teir medium tanks. Like it’s dpm, alpha, pen, and all the soft stats will be equal to their medium tank counter parts. And I’m stead of having this thing called Armour (unless it’s the teir X Chinese LTs turret) and a good HP pool, they have insane mobility across the board, as well as the best view range for their teir and better camo then all the meds, unless there is a bat chat or something. Idk. Anyway, I would like to see light tanks be more competitive than they are now, and to give back the most loved light tanks their special ability like the M41 bulldogs massive autoloader. This applies for all light tanks across the board, except the BLACKDOG and the AMX 13 57, which are the only 2 premium light tanks that need nerfs. And the PZ 2 J. But yeah I would like to see a big light tank change in the future. QB thanks for uploading this and giving your opinion on lights. Plz feature this next vid. U are the best wot UA-camr by far
i think scouts need to have the best view ranges on each of their countrys. and about the guns they need to have better dispersions on the move (turret and hull traverse too) just like this one. to make them more influencial.
That first field rush is utter suicide 80% of the time, don't show stuff like that or all the average players will just be killing themselves in top tier LTs.
It depends on if the other side has a scout rushing to the opposite bush. Since the moved the spawn further back, it's mostly scouts that will possibly challenge, but I have to say, if I were running a MT on that map, I'd consider shooting that bush as I spawn, especially if I got lit. It's pretty obvious where the tank would have to be (1 of 2 locations most likely).
I haven't played my LTs since the new map version, (focusing on TD missions ATM), but I agree, I try to get in there if I'm on the correct side of spawn to do so.
If you are making it there undetected most of the time then you are simply lucky. It is not worth the high chance of being spotted and killed just to be 40-50 metres further forward.
You don't even need to drive a light tank to pull off 10k scouting in the Malinovka Magic Bush. I did it in a JagdPz. IV after our teams bright light tank got himself rapidly disassembled on the open field. Too bad he was likely not watching and seeing the error of his ways on how to play scout. :D
I've got an LTG with a camo crew, and I'm STILL stuck on mission 15 for the Stg... got 2600 once but it seems I'll never hit that 3k mark. FML I suck at this game.
I miss the scouts we had before the Lights got better guns. Often when I lose a game I see later in the team stats that the light made some damage but supported no damage. I am trying to get used to it.
I only have a question. And it isn't about the video perse. Just a question about your ending to videos. Why is it, "if ya like it, Thumbs up. But if you "hate" it, thumbs down"? It always comes across, to me, as so cut-and-dry, black and white, just yes or no. Why not just say, "if you like it give it a thumbs up!"? They don't like it they can take a flying leap you know? I love the videos by the way. I always finds them informational and helpful. Thank you for taking the time to do them.
I personally use Female crew members on my Luchs and ELC amx. Im Not a good Player, my highest Tier is Tier 6, but i had some really good scout games and I am able to keep 57% Winrate on my elc. I just love playing scout.
Maaan.. Ive only been following you for a few weeks or so. And I love your content. But what is the philosophy behind buffing the weakpoints of a tank, rather than enhancing the strong points?
How to train crew for broken people
1. Buy a tank
2. Take 1000 match to 100% the crew
3. Take 5000 match until you finally got your crew skill mastered
4. Outcome your terrible 20% winrate
1000 matches? Isn't it more like 300 -500 ?
But yeah. There is no wn8 making with a stock tank or a stock crew..
So true man

Hey Quickybaby, Really enjoying these new style of almost tutorial-like videos. Cheers.
How to have good scout games :
Step 1 : buy a T-100 LT
Step 2 : play a game
Step 3 : ...
Misterclic voilaa
Step 3 get credits and new crew member
its shows thats hes hollow. lol. CLAUSE BOMB.
karlc267 it's not a premium!!

@KalLanPIDT Don't suppose you understand figure of speech?
Technically, that is true. What he meant to say is a "metric crap ton"
I do ok. Was just lamenting the loss of an aspect of the game.
I wish they didn’t remove Dragons Ridge all those years ago, i love that map
Especially the first version of it, they should bring it back for tier 7 and under.
Or port.
I hate this map, but I still want this map and all the older map that they remove in the game to add variety.
I had nearly forgotten Port, really enjoyed my battles on that one too. Also the Chaffee race version :D
Edwin Parker those were awesome!
That T95 probably watched your old video on the T95 going in the middle of the field. probably thought that he could do that.
I come from the future, they will introduce French wheeler vehicles that will push other lights out of the meta. Light tank drivers BEWARE
ur from da past lol

thank you very much for the video. i'm just getting back in the game and i need more games like these with good pointers xD
Great video. Replays were more enjoyable than usual
Must say with all the detail in this video about scouting. Its def my fav video i watched this far to date bro. Cheers from halifax, nova scotia.

I have been craving some epic games like those. Thanks for uploading this! Hopefully I can put your tips into my scouting gameplay.
I start out with camo, view range, BIA, Situational awareness and the sixth sense! It just seems like a lot more sense that way!
I like that someone ignored the affirmative and a small piece of ego died.
I love how the T-100 Lt has money bags on its turret :P

too bad I can't post a screen shot with this response then you would actually see what I have been saying.
Be nice to see matchmaking that considers what tank you're in and give you better scouting maps for lights, corridor for heavies and meds can fill the gaps.. obviously not every game but 1 in 5 instead of 1 every blue moon
great play haha that was fun to watch
If you can play the underdog scout well, you can play the other tanks well. I love playing high tier scout tanks.
Nobody mentioned the flying over a teammate scene. Interesting. 12:15
Wow, those were some well played games!
T-100lt is op when it faces against other light tanks!
It hits everything in move and it has broken armour
I want the t100lt as my next light tank. I will be happy with that and my 13 105 :) 13 105 Is great, but i want that mobility and extra camo the t100lt has.
Yess I need this thanks man!
one thing i like to ask, if someone can think about, where is the enemy's sheriden at the beginning of the battle? If I do as QB, there should become a light tank fight at the middle.
Great video QB!
Can you send this to warscaming and ask them to put this in as a mandatory watch before every light and medium tank player must watch this before they play the battles please!!!???
I can make this much spotting in my E 25 pretty much 75% of the games
I feel a tremendous surge of sympathy for that IS-7.
AlexMLB35
The French LT are the most combat capable of all the LT because of their autoloader. I run Vents, Stabs and Optics with a 2 skill + 80% crew on my 13 105, resulting in quite an amazing overall vehicle. It is a true baby Bat Chat; trade firepower for mobility. The 5.46 second unload time is godlike for 1170 alpha.
T-50 the underdog vs E75 -> legit oldschool mm happy hunting ^^
Nice game play bro!!
Same spot , scouted 7,4k with AMX CDC . :)
Excellent gameplay!
Hey quickybaby designated target works only if you are locked to the target
Great games ! Affirmative! :)
The guy saluting at the start 🤣
hey QB i can see the tank picture in your shirt is green colored. kinda funny to see that your body has tank shaped hole lmao xD. Good game btw xD
(Just my two cents)
think meds have better views the us 1's rock trick out a patton and its like way over 600
I did exactly what you did as a scout on malinovka, I spotted a 12 of them trying to position themselves...
but nobody even bothered to shoot them...
It sucked. Obviously if there is only 1 like I hope it will be like when 1.4 drops (and after several days when people get them) I dont think its going to be as big of a problem.
hey quickybaby it's important the order of your skills or if u have it they have the same effect?
Hi QuickyBaby, how have your freecam ? It’s too useful when you want have a different point of view in a replay
I bet you've been asked this before... but what is the clip of classical music form your outro from? In terms of light tanks, I like the M4A1 Stuart.
Hi man, I'm on 13000-ish games and I've only just started to be able to use LT's effectively for the team... lol. they where too fast for me too, I would drive myself strait into trouble... lol
Do you play it with server reticle on or off?
“I’m stead” should be “instead”
don't forget how they fucked the AMX ELC bis... used to be my favorite lt
beautiful gameplay!
i think scouts need to have the best view ranges on each of their countrys. and about the guns they need to have better dispersions on the move (turret and hull traverse too) just like this one. to make them more influencial.
That first field rush is utter suicide 80% of the time, don't show stuff like that or all the average players will just be killing themselves in top tier LTs.
Fallen Gaming 😜
It depends on if the other side has a scout rushing to the opposite bush. Since the moved the spawn further back, it's mostly scouts that will possibly challenge, but I have to say, if I were running a MT on that map, I'd consider shooting that bush as I spawn, especially if I got lit. It's pretty obvious where the tank would have to be (1 of 2 locations most likely).
I haven't played my LTs since the new map version, (focusing on TD missions ATM), but I agree, I try to get in there if I'm on the correct side of spawn to do so.
Agreed, but the thing is that a scout rushes to the opposite bush about 80% of the time, hence the suicide.
If you are making it there undetected most of the time then you are simply lucky. It is not worth the high chance of being spotted and killed just to be 40-50 metres further forward.
what is first best map for spot if not this one??? I mean malinovka
QuickyBaby - The IS7 destroyer :)
Wish they’d bring back the T-50-2
Next time QB should just wear a green long sleeve shirt and use a stool so he's just a floating head
gj QB, lights need more love
twitch delays streams about 20 seconds (obviously bad internet delays it more)
I've got an LTG with a camo crew, and I'm STILL stuck on mission 15 for the Stg... got 2600 once but it seems I'll never hit that 3k mark. FML I suck at this game.
I miss the scouts we had before the Lights got better guns.
Often when I lose a game I see later in the team stats that the light made some damage but supported no damage.
I am trying to get used to it.

I absolutely appreciate ur vids!
Did WOT remove the bush that QB was in in the T 100 LT replay?
Good video. I love your commentary. But I would like more heavy tank gameplay.
