  • This was unexpected but I'm really glad I got to run down to south Florida in search of some colorful fish. ‪@COLE_and_JAY‬ joined in on the ride even though we only had a few hours to try to make it happen.

    Florida has the best ditch fishing you never know what your gonna hook into with all the crazy exotic fish and with all the exotic reptiles running around it's a fisherman's and herpers paradise. Great video I run to Florida everytime I have the opportunity.

    It was good to talk to you. We drove the three hour trip as well to target peacock bass. They are super strong and we absolutely had a blast filming.

    Just did some of this fishing the past week, and the peacock bass definitely are more powerful than regular bass. Great video!

    That was another cool video, catching exotics from a few ditches in Florida...why not. Ever since I saw Rolland Martin catching peacock bass in Florida on his program in the early 90s they're intriguing. Safe travels

    I love the Crappie Magnet jigs in silver paired with the Slabalicious swimbaits. Great for shallow rivers and creeks. The offset design doesn’t nose dive as much as a regular jig. Bass Pro has been out of stock most all summer.

    Of all the exciting catches you have had. I think the Peacock bass in the grass might be my favorite. Sure reeling and fighting a Muskie afraid he was coming off was great, but snakes, gators and lizards was better. I could actually feel your fear.

    Pretty sure it the first one was a Tilapia or some fish in that family . That peacock bass was a natural beauty !

    The first fish you caught I catch a lot of those in the canal behind my house but I don’t know what they are. Just assumed they were some type of hybrid.

      Peacocks were released by the state they tried in Alabama but cold weather killed them. Think 80s but don’t recall

    Crazy how you can't release ciclids in Louisiana, but you can in Florida. Where are they native to, Florida? Fishing with cole and Jay has to be fun and educational. They go everywhere. I live in the same state and fish the same waters and cant seem to fish with them 😂. When are you coming back to Northern Arkansas John? Great video, amd i bet icast was a blast... it's no longer what you know, its who you know and how many followers you got.. it's been amazing to see how much your channels blasted off.

    Gummy worms are good bail in ditches and canals . That big fish had the spot on it's side by the tail that looks like a Redfish .

    Well when I catch a fish I tell them sorry for all of the harm I caused them and send them back to the water with a bag full of groceries, sometimes I give them a massage first…
