Swear to God, true story: I first saw this movie a few years ago and as I was watching I said to myself, "If this were any more of an eighties sci-fi/horror film, Klaus Kinski would show up." Five minutes later, Klaus Kinski showed up.
"Klasu Kinski grabbbing ass wasn't in the script and something he decided to do and everyone on the set was to afraid to stop him" .. Well that sounds strangly accurate.
you probably dont care but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch all of the new movies on Instaflixxer. Been streaming with my brother for the last few days xD
Ah yes, Klaus Kinksi. The best crazy German dude ever. Also they found this thing on Titan, Thanos is gonna be pissed when he comes home and finds his pet missing.
I wish Brandon had mentioned some of Kinksi's more... insane episodes during the filming of this movie. No joke, when he first met William Malone (director) he put his arm around the dude as if he were an old friend and casually confessed that he raped his daughter (Natassja Kinksi) when she was 12. Later Malone saw Kinski with a teenage girl and when he asked him where she came from Kinski gave him a creepy smile and said "Well... you know, I like to hang around the school yards."

That electrocution scene in the 52 thing has one of my fav wtf moment of the b&w era. Mainly because its the first one i ever noticed. Trying to buy time. They barricade a door with a few 1x6. A good tactic at keeping him from busting the door in. Problem was, it pulled open from that side. Not pushed. So it literally opens the door and goes right through the little 1×6. My grandpa who i never knew if he was actually watching the tv or reading his book. Must have noticed my double take response to it says "u get the feelin they didn't think that all the way through?"
I'll be honest, before I watched it or knew anything about it, I thought that _Attack on Titan_ was about a Human colony on Titan that got attacked by aliens or something.
Funny seeing this old review after just finishing the new blu-ray of the flick. Since the HD print is the first time I've seen this one (I never rented it on VHS, even though that cover enticed me so many times) this gives some solid perspective on how much was gained with a proper restoration. Fun little flick, and a solid review! Would be interesting to hear your fresh thoughts on a proper widescreen clear print of the movie one day.
I've been binge watching you for the first time. It took me awhile to warm.up to you, but now you have me hooked. Actually covered this for "Cinefantastique" back in the day. It was shot basically in a warehouse - they were making the next set in one part, tearing down the last set behind them, and shooting in the middle. Place was noisy as hell except when it would all stop for shooting a scene. Didn't meet Kinsky who was only there for a few days, but Mallone was happy we were covering the film. His remake of "House on Haunted HIll" is still an underrated gem.
you almost killed my sister LOL, loved the "psych" scene when the alien was thought dead, your victory punch "nailed It" got my sister laughing so hard that she was chocking and laughing on her snacks.

I watched this movie last night, and I quite enjoyed it! It's a pretty solid 80s sci/fi/creature horror B-movie that's definitely worth viewing for fans of the genre and era.
I think Klaus Kinski retired to… yeah… you guessed it… Lagunitas, CA! Population 1924, Lagunitas is a sleepy town in the forest on the way from populous East Marin to rural West Marin. The horror movie section brings back old memories. My childhood was all about horror and sci-fi. And I do remember creature being in every movie store I've ever been in.
Director William Malone also owned the original Robbie the Robot for many years. Robbie went up for auction earlier this week, and set a price record for a movie prop.

🤣🤣🤣
I still remember Klaus well from "For a Few Dollars More". He always left a lasting impression no matter what he was in!
Klaus Kinski is like Bloody Mary.

when he talked about him greeting everyone with sexual assault i started laughing then realized well shit it's probably not a joke. :o
These two ppl go around leaving the same comment about instacflixxer
Klaus Kinski repeatedly r*ped his daughter from the age of 6 to 18.
“I see you like guns.... what else do you like?”
One of the best character opening lines. EVER. And probably an adlib.
After dealing with all of Ferris' shenanigans and the end of his marriage, Mr. Bueller went down a very different career path
Old video, I know, but the intro to Alien Month is scarier than the actual movies.

or
"It's not asleep ... it's alive!!"
It’s great that they have big 80’S hair again in the future!
And big computers. Big calculators. Giant cameras. Hell, I'm sure mobile phones the size of bricks will make a comeback!
Space Helmets are more suggestions, like bike helmets...the crew from Alien :Covenant would agree.
Thanks, but I'd rather watch Creature again than EVER watch Covenant.

Brandon really deserves more subs. All his content is quality and always makes me lol.
I like how this movie is such a blatant Alien cash-in that Kinski's character is named "Hans Rudy", likely a nod to HR (Hans Ruedi) Giger
Fun fact: Diane Salinger played the waitress in Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
Merci Beaucoup Pee Wee!
Also Penguin's mom in Batman Returns, along with Paul Reubens as the dad.

It kinda sorta did. The Dead Star movie was eventually made as "Supernova" but with all of the Hellish imagery removed.
