Hey Brandon. Please make a movie review of Dolph Lundgren's movies ''Showdown in little Tokyo'' and ''Dark angel'', the same way you did a review of Red scorpion.
11:35 "Proffessor, how long have you been fucking fish? " **sputters** "They were old enough! They were old enough!" ... You actually cant make this up XDXDXDXD
All that came into my head there was Troy McClure's "No, what I have is a romantic abnormality, one so unbelievable that it must be hidden from the public at all costs"
I wouldn't be surprised if the dialogue was the result of an Italian screenwriter using his limited knowledge of English and not allowing anyone to change the script, as was the case with Troll 2.
This was my choice, and it was a birthday presant for my boyfriend. He absolutely loved it. Thanks very much Brandon. Glad other people know of this film too. 🎉 😅
I’m so happy someone is spreading awareness of this absolute lunacy. I’ve shown this to a few of my friends and they’ve all questioned what’s wrong with me
@@DeepEye1994 yeah feels very "inspired" ... and honestly... it works as a Lovecraft adjacent idea. Evil magic makes the whole plot make a lot more sense.
What's truly remarkable is how a film from 1994 looks so much like something from the mid-80s. And I honestly mean that as a compliment for the most part.
Whoa! When I read the title 'creatures from the abyss', I thought, 'I think I've heard or seen that before' then I remembered my very old pirated VCD 'Piranha 4: Creatures from the Abyss' and it turned out to be this one! I'm surprised bc it's so very random; for me it's a 0.1% chance that someone will talk about this movie. It's so very rare that I thought that I'm the only one who knows this flick exists. Thanks, man.
Its a crime that you don't have 10 million subscribers!! Everything you put together is so well done and entertaining! Those of us who are subs definitely appreciate the hard work for all of these years you have put in Brandon!
Okay, I thought I remembered first hearing about this movie from a Rifftrax preview. But, I will say, while this movie looks batshit insane, the effects for the most part do look decent. Shame we'll never get a sequel titled "Creatures from the Abyss 2: Dead by Prawn". lol
@@brettwood1351 true you end up with that monstrosity although anyone up for deep fried monster vulture actually it’s not deep fried. It’s flame broiled with a pinch of salt. I got that from a dragon. I’m not making this up.

I admit I only heard about the film very recently thanks to the Bad Movie Bible channel and even then it was a short mention. Glad to see it getting the Brandon treatment!!
i was too young when AVGN or Nostalgia Critic first came out, but you and these videos give me that feeling people probably felt watching them so thank you! keep it up!
Always has been. 10,000 years from now, in the Vaults of the Shadowkeepers of the Adeptus Custodes, beneath the imperial palace on Holy Terra, a singing Bass is kept, locked away from the rest of the universe.
How did I miss this gem? Never thought I would hear the line "Professor, how long have you been @#$%ing fish?" in a movie. Whoever did the english dub for this movie mailed it in, but in an awesome way.
Thank you, thank you... I checked out the full movie when I saw the title on your site buy just couldn't. But I so COULD watch your version. It was a Oscar winner with you. xx :)
Always loved the fact that this is basically Evil Dead at sea (I won't call it The Seavil Dead...). In addition to what you mentioned there is the square-jawed nerd being the only survivor instead of the typical hero type and the whole sequence of the guy "disappearing" into the basement or equivalent and jumping out, scaring the protagonist and finding a major plot point.

That weird lamp at 11:20 is modeled after ancient statues of the Greco-Roman fertility god Priapus. The ancient Romans made oil lamps of the same design, with the wick mounted at the end of Priapus's willy.
Mummy Theme Park is a MUST. It looks like it was shot with 1/10 the budget of Plankton... I mean, Creatures from the Abyss. And the performances in Mummy Theme Park make the acting in this one look like Oppenheimer.
I'm fairly confident this movie is a plagerization of the book "Slimer" from 1983. Not that it didn't steal from a whole lot of things, as Itallian films are want to do. But boy howdy does it share a lot. Two years after this there would be an actual adaptation of Slimer called "Proteus" directed by SFX artist Bob Keen. I'd recommend that one for the show too. It's a little middling and not as batshit as this, but some of the creature effects are damn cool.
Even seeing is not quite believing. I bought the DVD several years ago from a Besy Buy bargin bin. Watched it, then lost the DVD after a move. I really started to think i had imagined it until seeing this video!
Nice find! I first saw this movie on the Rifftrax version that was done a while ago. I then bought the German Blu-ray copy which had so much added material that was cut out of the North American release. It is truly a very strange and schlocky film, and it clearly wears it's influences on its sleeves.
3:48 - "Well, no one's around and the radio's dead. So either Godzilla attacked this ship or some other weird stuff happened". If it HAD been Godzilla, it would have been a better movie and this video would have twice as many views.
This is hilarious! I don't remember the last time I had a laugh so good watching anything reviewed on this channel as I did now... This is a trash treasure!!!
I admit that I kind of really like this movie. The set just reminds me so much of my childhood growing up in a trendy fitness center in the late 80s and early 90s. The Thing if it was fabulously 1991 tacky.
Classic movie picked this up on vcd in malta back in 2000 and been a fan ever since. Evil Dead on a boat with fish instead of demons. though the VCD said it was called Piranha 4
Pitch meeting: "We got a boat run by a horny AI and infested with mutant fish found by characters from Dumb and Dumber! Just give the crew lots of cocaine until we have enough footage for a whole movie!"
I kept thinking "I know this movie". I remembered of an italian movie called something like "Sargasso" or something by the clips of the monster effects at the end. I didnt find it dubbed.
Plankton Creatures from the Deep, starring Temu John Stamos and Great Value Jefferey Dahmer, and introducing Super Horny Siri, only in select 7/11 video rental kiosks

A sea monster version of the Evil Dead would indeed make a very good video game. Oh, the possibilities of it all. You could have killer mermaids, a Kraken, & stuff from every creature feature that's sea monster themed, all into one franchise.
Oh fuck yes!!! One of my favourite ever UA-cam film reviewers reviews probably my all time favourite so bad it's good B-movie!! Please get Jason Brant to watch this on his channel!!!

It's downright criminal the producers didn't use 'Evil Dead Fish' as an alternate title.

I wouldn't be surprised if the dialogue was the result of an Italian screenwriter using his limited knowledge of English and not allowing anyone to change the script, as was the case with Troll 2.
