Props to flat earthers for doing so much to prove earth is round
Flat earthers have proved the earth is round more times than normal people and scientists at this point lol.
Btw they still rejected the fact that the earth was round minutes later.
@@criscat1750as a lot of those kinds of people like to say, you can't fix stupid.
what if it was a person who knew earth wasnt flat and infiltrated them to make them believe with their own eyes and logic
@toha9460 then sadly, all they accomplished was showing how pathetically afraid these idiots are of being wrong.
the best part about this documentary is that the "interesting" was the last word uttered in the entire documentary, right after this it ends and it is the greatest comedic timing ever
It was 😂😂😂
It makes me wonder if they were just after cloud...
I’m sure that’s the same exact words the Greek philosophers in the early centuries used when they realised the earth has a circumference 😂😂😂 these idiots are just learning this for the first time today 🤣🤣🤣
So true. I mean, the whole thing was pretty funny, but that last little "interesting" really gave me a good laugh.
It makes me question whether or not the Earth is truly flat.
I can't help but respect how rigorously they're disproving their claim.
This is of science and knoweledge improves. Now they just need to start accepting the results of their experiments. They are just few thousand years late to the party.
@@pauli2951 Yeah, but the cool thing is, even if they don't accept it, as long as they keep doing the science properly, it's not hurting anything. It's just more data. In fact we need more people challenging existing data. We just need more science done in general. Never enough of it.
@@PHIplaytesting wait till they start holding planes on hostage and crash it to a building for the glory of pizza earth or something. Challenging existing data is encouraged, yes, and coming up with other ways to test it is encouraged, yes, but you *have* to accept the results and where it points to. The problem with them isn't that they "challenge the data", it's that they already have a conclusion and are trying for ways to twist everything to fit that conclusion. That's not science. That's a cult/religion.
Almost as rigorously as the young earth creationists!
@@PHIplaytesting Absolutely, they are not hurting anyone. That is why I say the best method of dealing with flat earthers is to ignore them unless you are very bored.
"i will prove this room has no temperature by getting myself a thermometer"

" *Well, i am obviously not going to accept that* "
No, actually, new idea. I'll just get an ice cube, if it melts, room has temperature. Obviously it won't.
>Ice cube starts melting
"Interesting"
You need to put the thermometer in a temperature resistant box to make sure no outside elements are affecting the reading
The amount of regret that comes when both the high end device and the DIY school project both tells you the same thing😂
no, no. Some of them doubled down and say that it's the firmaments rays or some shit. They can't even cope with the fact they "made a dum".
they need copium
From what I've heard, even after the DIY project they concluded that the results were indecisive because they didn't match up with what they were expecting in the case they were wrong or something along those lines.
@@zeekawesomecus917 they obviously have no practical skills, you're supposed to attempt to disprove your hypothesis, any single piece of evidence that disproves a hypothesis can be considered a huge flaw in their hypothesis or the involvement of external unknown factors
@@sage_zarf idk if my reading comprehension is bad but you're not supposed to disprove a hypothesis nor prove it, a hypothesis just has to serve as a basis for your experiment if you proved it right then u write in the conclusion that your hypothesis is proven to be correct and if it's proven wrong you write about itnin your report and come up with another hypothesis
Scientific method 😎😎(that I probably failed in my recent test lmao)

To prove a fact you also have to try to disprove it. You need to test all opposing ideas that have merit to disprove it.
@@guy2006 Yes, you say "What are all the possible ways to get a false reading?" Then you test each of those possibilities. You don't just throw the entire thing out, pretend it never happened, and start a completely different experiment.
Oh wow sherlock you found the secret.
Who could have guessed that people search for things that agree with them rather than searching for things to disprove themselves.
Like the saying goes “winning an argument against a smart person is hard, but winning an argument against a stupid person is impossible”
There's an important distinction to be made between "winning an argument" and "successfully persuading."
If your goal is to persuade then turning the conversation into an argument will likely lead to failure.
Absolutely this. I don't argue with people on the internet anymore as an adult, and that is because I realized a long time ago that the amount of knowledge I would have to impart on most of those people is tantamount to a college degree, and I'm not getting paid to educate them, so why bother? I paid for mine!
Yeah win arguments as we did in olden times with a horse sucking competition
can you even do what they do you are calling them stupid
@@rbcodder1701 yes I could, I could disprove the flat earth theory when I was like 9 😂
They're literally not looking for the true answer, they just want to get the answer they want.
Yeah? I mean they said they were proving the earth was flat, not figuring out if it's flat. They are literally doing just that and they know that.
Perhaps, but in a sense what they did only proved them wrong. Using multiple experiments to test a theory like thiers is actually kind of smart in my opinion. Sure, it's obvious that the earth is round, but the way they tried different legitimate experiments and eliminated any unnecessary factors is honestly smart. I just hope they accepted the truth afterwards 😂

@rohanortonIIRC the experiment was made acriss water (as it's supposedly always fat/always finds its level, according to flerfers), likely cooler than surroundings, and the tempersture gradient in the air can easily make things visible the should itherwise be under the horizon.
Plenty of videos showing rhis, including debunkings of what flerfers claim as a black swan, some iffshore oil rigs.
Also if a neat experiment showing a, IIRC, graduated stick behind a oropane tank on its side. When the top of the tank is cooled (and so the air above it) more of the stick hcomes into view as the light is bent due to the differences in air density causing lensing.

"I'm a scientist."
Runs experiment.
Results squarely disprove hypothesis.
"...well I'm obviously not going to accept that."
At the same time, I have a degree of respect for their willingness to continue devising experiments to run, and even experiments that made a degree of sense. As opposed to most flat earth theories I've seen hinging on one guy saying that specific intercontinental flight listings must be fake because if they weren't fake that'd mean the earth is round.
Thats the thing, it didnt disprove it, the hypothesis was if the earth is in fact spherical, the gyroscope would give them a reading of 15°. If the earth is flat it would read something else. The gyroscope in every testing environment got a 15° reading.
They believe(d) the earth is flat. Their ultimate goal of those experiments was to definitely prove that the earth is indeed flat. but in order for there experiments and themselves to be taken seriously, they couldn’t just do some experiments they made up themselves to get a direct result that they also deemed would definitively prove their ideal results of a flat earth. Thats confirmation bias and its not true, objective, or proper application of the scienctific method and/or experimentation.
If they were to conduct a completely unbiased experiment to prove that the earth is flat and have their results be accepted as legitimate and unaltered truth, then they would first have to prove that the earth isnt spherical. But even then their science was still shotty. They knew the exact result that would prove the earth is in fact a sphere (15°) but they didnt give an exact measurement for if the earth was flat. They were basically going to say if it isnt 15° then the earth isnt a sphere and they were right all along. Cause i guarantee you if they got a reading of anything other than 15° they wouldnt have conducted any more/different tests to prove otherwise lol
That is what scientists do
look g the Bible says the earth is flat so imma go with that
I reject reality and substitute my own.
The weird part is the 2nd experiment could have just shown that they couldn't see the hill they were standing on.
This is a prime example of Google searching until you get there "correct" answer that you were looking for

First of all flat earthers are dumb. But science is about trial and error. Don't just accept the first results. They got that part right.
I'm not defending their reasoning, but yes that's exactly how science works, you make a prediction, test that prediction, and then make a test to validate the results of the first test, if you don't believe the first test was accurate you may very well do multiple other tests trying to find what you think is a "flaw",
