Absolutely stunning playing and camerawork, Richard. Great pacing and pauses at the end of lines and verses. Lovely. I've played this video a million times.
God bless you, dear Richard, for sharing your marvelous talent with us to begin our Easter morning celebrations! May your Ressurection Sunday be blessed ✝️
Just to say thank you…. I might not be an organist (although I sing at Salford Cathedral including duet with 13 year old daughter on Surrexit Christus yesterday !). I enjoyed so much was looking back at previous Easter videos including same hymn from Salisbury cathedral last year …:.loved it when on the final verse you were clearly trying to find various stops but then just went for a single button and virtually all the stops came out…. Thunderous/fantastic !
Thank you Richard! Epic indeed. Happy Easter to you and the family. Did I ever tell you that I never would have been a professional church organist if it hadn't been for you and BiS? It's "The Lifelong Dream that I never knew I had."
Great to hear the Lincoln Willis roar for Easter. The filming is beautiful too. Love that Tuba and Ophicleide, very powerful. Thank you for your music Richard.
Thank you Richard. I really like the Alleluya's. I'm playing this as the second hymn tomorrow morning! Happy Easter to you, Caroline, Hugo and Charlotte! :)
When I was a teen (I'm talking 1960's here) we sang the words to this hymn to some face paced tune and to my shame I had never heard this version until I heard you play it last Easter. Can't believe what I was missing out on all those years. It's magnificent 😊
It’s been 22 years since I lost my Mom, and I still have not been able to get thru an Easter service without tears, knowing how many times I sung Jesus Christ is Risen Today, Alleluia, with her on Easter for 50 years.
ah but you DID sing it with her friend! and if you have trusted in Jesus as your savior, you will sing it with her again around the throne, to the one and only Jesus Christ! Because He is risen, the best is yet to come to those who believe in Him!
Many thanks for this glorious music. I'm only a regular lector, but am now assigned to sing the Gradual - the 3-fold alleluia and the Gospel sentence. What to do? I listened over and over to the 3-fold rhythm here and follow this part (added by W. Monk, I think), and it works PERFECTLY. Glorious, indeed.
This hymn seems strange without the refrain, thank you for using it. Though, in the ELW the refrain is sung before the first verse and after the last, but not between the verses.
One of my favorite Easter hymn. Thanks for the wonderful playing.🙏🙏🙏🙏 Jesus is risen. He is risen indeed. Halleluyah!!!
Richard: Here's one that will rattle the cathedral, "Emperor's Fanfare"

Wow! Amazing and majestically played! I would have loved to have stood in that church. Thank you, my friend!
Thanks for one of my favorite Easter hymns. I was going to request it for Virtual Church on Easter.
Thank you Richard! Epic indeed. Happy Easter to you and the family.

What a great hymn! The strife IS over! Christ triumphant and we are freed!
By the way, I love the subtitled words on your videos.
Thank you, Richard, for this magnificent hymn, on this wonderful day!! A blessed Easter to you, Caroline, Hugo, and Charlotte!!!

And I agree, it is better with the refrain
Just amazing - thank you Richard for this wonderful celebration of Easter! Such a fantastic sound.
That one always does my heart good.
Thank you, Richard, for this joyous hymn. Let the Allelyas ring out - it feels like a long Lent this year.
Very long indeed

My local!,
I've been wanting to ask who handles the drone shots?
Richard does all of this himself!
@@caroline.balfour Wow that's amazing, how much effort he puts in his passion. That's really motivating.
