What a terrific selection of music to show off both the majestic sounds of this organ and the building in which it is located, but also the talent of Mr. Lloyd. We have very few cathedrals here across the pond that equal the ones you have in Europe, not to mention the magnificent instruments housed in them. Thank you both very much for sharing this performance with us and God Bless you both!!!!
Magnificent recital! Applause to this gent, Mr. Jeremy Lloyd! :) IN ADDITION, Mr. Richard McVeigh, ALWAYS the beautiful, inspiring MUSIC, you ALSO, put on the map for us to see: the amazing CATHEDRALS & CHURCHES in the UK & Europe, that so many of us world wide will never see in person. These structures are tributes to man's worship of GOD, & man's creativity to honor His SON, JESUS, & our history of CHRISTIANITY, a foundation stone of Western CIVILIZATION.
Beautiful performances! For some reason, I've always enjoyed hearing the organ in Rochester Cathedral played rather than playing it, which I always found rather an unsatisfying experience. Well done, Jeremy Lloyd, wonderful playing :)
Such a stunning recital - thank you Jeremy for this amazing performance, and Richard thank you for bring this to us in such immersive quality - amazing!
That Howells Rhapsody is terrific, everything comes together in that performance on that spot. Thanks for sharing this great recital (also visually) with us.
Wow, wow, wow, wonderful recital. Thank you Jeremy. You are a star. Listening Sunday afternoon in New Zealand 🇳🇿. Well done Richard for recording this organ. Blessings 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'm 'en retard', in the middle of Alain at the moment - how wonderfully dark and fabulous (valley of the shadow of, etc). Absolutely LOVE this music. What a recital - thank you - SUPERB 😍
It’s my 60th birthday today and this bought back such happy memories of organ lessons at Rochester with Paul Hale. Fantastic filming and audio. Thank you!
Wonderful recital! I was just walking around whistling the melody from the Bach Toccata unwittingly today and was surprised to hear it as the opener. But the Howells really knocked my socks off! What a crescendo! Bravo! Really beautifully played!
A lovely building from the drone footage and it's a long time since I was there in Rochester. Thank you for the recital Jeremy and thanks Richard for arranging it.
Fabulous recital. I particularly enjoyed the Guilmant, although it is one of my personal favorites. Your tempos were perfect, in my opinion. So many performers play the piece like they were headed off to the races or were trying to impress the audience as to “how many pounds of notes per second” that they can play. Bravo on your tempo selections.
I’m so looking forward to seeing and hearing this wonderful organ being played tonight. Thank you so much for letting me know that it is coming on at 20.00. With very best wishes from Julia Wake from Guildford, Surrey
well done, Richard, for this beautiful sound! So happy but not surprised to see you are excelling. We from SBS still remember you with joy and gratitude for your musical support some years ago.
I could see no plate on the keyboard, is this a Willis or Walker organ perhaps? Such a beautiful sounding instrument, reeds amazing. Jeremy is an organ player of outstanding talent worthy of the highest tradition of English Cathedral organists
Thanks for your very kind comment. The bulk of the organ was built by Manders in 1989, utilising some earlier pipework by J. W. Walker and Samuel Greene
Hi Richard. A question - have you the Milton organ at Tewkesbury in your sights? I’m sure you’re aware of the virtues of this instrument and the wonderful acoustic of the Abbey. I find it completely mesmerising. Here’s hoping….
Wonderful performance but I am always so annoyed when the BWV 540 toccata is played and the fugue is not. If anything, I would forsake the former and perform the latter if given the one or the other choice.

Amazing recital! What an exceptional instrument! Thank you for your efforts in recording and posting this concert!
Thank you so much for sharing this absolutely amazing organ recital. I am blown away by this instrument and its setting. The Guilmant was excellent!

GORGEOUS CHURCH - EVEN MORE GORGEOUS RECITAL! And I always want my organist to “lie down on the pipes!” Please make the earth shake!!!
Thank you Richard & Jeremy for a brilliant recital this evening :)
Thank you very much Richard & Jeremy!

When or will you be back? I’d love to see and hear. Never really heard a proper organ properly 😂
a beautiful church, was a regular visitor every sunday to evening song. Until i moved to Paris was there last August when i came to see my son.
I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF YOUR MUSIC!! IT BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES!
Wonderful recital! I was just walking around whistling the melody from the Bach Toccata unwittingly today and was surprised to hear it as the opener. But the Howells really knocked my socks off! What a crescendo! Bravo! Really beautifully played!
Also, the vox Humana in the Guilmant Pastorale really hit me! Wonderful sound!

A matter of preference, no? To each his own.
@@mr.booker9263 Thanks for the insight.
There's some rather unsympathetic placement of cameras and microphone antennas on the top of the organ case there (not BiS of course)
As erric morecome once said. You played all the right notes, but not necessarily in the correct order. 😅only kidding.
Thanks!
Thanks Chuck 😊
