So that's how you do it.......I did it wrong and gave up and took it to my mechanic shop. Good information in this video. Well done sir.
Thank you and Thanks for watching.
I like the trick of taping the window in the up position instead of removing it.
I appreciate that the presenter did not cut out the slight difficulties in this task. Thank you.
Thanks for the video. I have to do the passenger's side regulator on my 2006 Caravan. I think the hard part is lining up those rails, but after seeing your video, I won't get lost. I already took the connectors apart. Cheers!
well done dude just what I was looking for
Thank you. Thanks for watching.
verry good viedo, i watched 5 before, this was the best one, and it was done at a slower speed,so you could see what was being done.
Wrenchie: You were lucky when your window fell that it stayed in the channels, especially the front one. Mine didn't (or on one of the two times it fell when the tape didn't hold), and I had quite a time getting it in there again to move it, twisting my left arm into very unnatural positions to find the rubber toward the outside of the door, and ease the glass into the channel again with the regulator. Yours is the best video on this, better even than the one using the suction cup glass handle; I bought two of those to man-handle the window and keep it raised (without the garbage bags) until my mechanism came in. It was life or death struggling there at the end, but I got it in and it works. Thanks!
I used Tyvek tape, because it's very sticky and holds good. The glass is heavy and hard to work with if it falls fast. I appreciate the comment. Thank you for watching.
@@wrenchingaround8112 "Heavy" is an understatement! Not to mention all the sharp edges in there. And the goop on the channels getting everywhere. Such fun!
Fantastic job! Thank you Im trash bagging it 😂Have a regulator on the way! I broke that white door handle rod holder clip because I didn't watch you first! Shucks! Thanks helpful
Thanks buddy. Your video helped me out.

Excellent video!!
Great Job
Thanks good work
It helped me Thanks
Thanks for watching.
What if the graphite was just worn out on the motor and you just had to undo the 2 metal pod screws and cable tie 2 new graphite cubes onto the motor?
I wasn't sure if my problem was the motor or some kind of binding of the window. If it was binding up then fixing the brushes on the motor wouldn't have fixed the issue. Thanks for watching.
Thank you. Mine just went out.
Excellent job 💯
Great video
On mine the cord got tangled. Is it possible to detach and reattach the cables without having to remove the tracks?
I'm not positive, but I don't think you could do that. Thanks for watching.
Didn't see you put the 2 clips to hold window on?
New ones came installed on the new assembly. I snapped them to the window at 17:55 and 18:19. Thanks for watching!
Can you just replace the window motor without having to mess with the window glass itself and without having to deal with the regulator what so ever? 5:20 to 8:00
I wasn't sure if my problem was the motor or some kind of binding of the window so I didn't want to take the chance of ruining the new unit by taking it apart. Thanks for watching.
My cables were broken, but if they are OK theoretically you could just do the motor, which I think you can buy separately. But then you would still have old cables.
I tried just the motor replacement and lost- the cables came apart unspooled a big mess. I guess you could pry the cable and white plastic part off the motor in one piece and bump the motor to line up the two-However I found it easier to give up and bUy the window regular from advance auto cheaper than just the motor from Rockauto- In the end it's best to change out both rather than just motor and easier
@@glennlee7079 I feel the same way about changing the whole unit. Rock auto is good if shipping is not too high. I've ordered a lot from them, but sometimes advance with a coupon code is faster and cheaper. warranty-able too most of the time.
My caravan has manuel windows😢
