It wasn't explained, but you've got to hook up the battery meter to the same batteries as your charger is hooked up to: Positive wire (+) to the #1 battery and Negative wire (-) to your #6 battery. It'll read 36v if you've hooked it up correctly, provided your batteries are fully charged. I like the yellow light idea beside his voltage meter, but if your meter is working correctly, it will tell you when you need a charge. Still, it's a nice feature to have this yellow warning light just in case you're not paying attention to your meter.

I wired mine the exact way in this video but is gauge always on. At first I thought I put the C wire on the wrong key terminal so I switched it but still got the same result. Why is this happening?

Same thing on a club car precedent that I'm working on... Ran both wires to the batteries for the full 48v and the ignition blue to the c on the meter ....always on.

@@GreyTechLive Where did you find that "low battery indicator" light? Did you hook that up yourself or did your cart come with it already? Thanks...good video.

Are you using the power that's being fed off the battery relay to turn on after the key is turned?

Try the other wire on your ignition

On mine, I have to turn off the key, move Forward reverse selector to the middle (off) position, and then touch the accelerator to drain power from the LED circuit.

I’m having the same issue. I wired it to one port on my key switch and while the key was in off there was power to the gauge. I thought whoops wired it to the constant so I switched it to the other but the gauge still came on while the key was in off. How does this happen?

On my 2018 ClubCar Tempo, I had +12v and ground behind my panel, but they always read 100% no matter how much I’ve driven.
I suspect this power lead is meant for an accessory that needs constant +12v, so it’s after the 48v -> 12v converter for the smaller electronics like lights speakers usb
