There’s a mountain near where I live in an area called Airolo that is completely hollowed out and has a full underground city inside of it. Can fit 140% of the population in the state it’s located in. Full airport, medical center, movie theater all kinds of wild stuff hidden in the Swiss mountains very little people know about. Each state has one in Switzerland that can have bit numbers ticino has a big base locate at the southern entrance to the alps. Strategic choice. True, but there is a good chance that in a "normal infantry company", you have 4-5 mechanics or precision machinists, a couple of nurses, 3-5 carpenters, 1-2 forest service employees or lumberjacks, blacksmiths, psychologists and other various professions that can be really useful in the field. Basically an average swiss military company exchange specialized military knowledge for a wide and deep pool of various skills.
