Also can we talk about the Thousand Sunny being the ship for Luffy, definitely some ties to the Sun God Nika. As well as the Going Merry being the first ship for the crew, "merry" being a synonym for "joy".
Well the best and most shocking thing is that the One Piece is ACTUALLY REAL!!! It really exists! And it is Worthless to those who are not chosen by the Son of God! As it is the Truth about WHAT Angels are (they are NOT Humanoid but actually Reptilians) And what happened in the Void Century. And it is also the Gate to Heaven itself! Which is on the Moon btw. And Enel is real too and he is on the Far Side of the Moon in a Eon long Slumber! And once he will wake up he is going to bring Justice to this World and then finally relax and live with him Father! Santa is also real btw and Saint Nikolaus is his son! Funny shit though! And EVERYONE will get what they deserve! As JOYBOY will wake up from his Slumber once the Comet Apophis arrives next time and then you will be Thrown into the Finals War! Ragnarök is real! It WILL happen! I am the HalfBlood Prince after all and i dont like to tell Lies! I dont need to Lie to boost my Confidence as i know who i am and i do not care what anyone else thinks of me! Let me give you Guys a Hint! You are Nothing but Insignificant background noise! And the only reason you are existing at all is because me and my wife want you to exist!
😍 It is so adorable that Joyboy might be connected to music and would explain why Luffy was so obsessed with finding a "musician" even before getting a cook.
Thriller Bark also had some subtle hints! Lola's crew referred to Luffy as their warrior of hope and thanked him for bringing the sun back to them. It's a long shot, but in hindsight you can see the parallels.
Now I understand why there is a big straw hat frozen in the basement. The original straw hat owner/Nika user, Joyboy, wasn't a giant but he enlarges himself to become as big as how luffy did, at the same time his straw hat also gigantified due to his awakened devil fruit abilities affecting other things besides himself. They managed to get his straw hat when it is still under Nika's affect and decided to freeze it in order to study the ability, most probably intended to replicate the devil fruit into a smile fruit or to find a way to defeat the Nika user.
Hi! I had a slightly changed theory about this. There is a possibility that during Joyboy/Nika's (I'm assuming they are the same person) time, the concept of devil fruit didn't exist. They originally existed with those powers that we now call devil fruit abilities. And it seems that Joyboy must've failed to achieve victory or some goal, and that's why world government was formed, and therefore, he wrote an apology letter to the mermaid princess. Also, as we know that Nefertari D. Lili, who was the Queen of Alabasta at the time, refused to follow the world government and left a letter for her descendants which included the letter "D", though it's meaning is lost after such a long time has passed. So, the theory I had in my mind was that, Joyboy wanted to change the world (just like Luffy, we still don't know what is his actual dream, but I'm betting it was the same as Roger & Joyboy) and so, Joyboy had a crew or like, supporters who included Queen Lili, The mermaid princess from that time (poseidon), the Kozuki clan's leader from that time and of course, Zunesha. He definitely must've had other supporters, we cannot forget about the advanced Kingdom that once existed, but now there is no trace of it. Even Vegapunk cannot compete to its creations. The Lunarians, Buccaneers, Fishmen, Giants, and the people of "D". All these races play a major role and were definitely related to Joyboy in some way. The reason why Imu and 5 elders are so afraid to let them live is clear evidence that they must've tried to do something out of the ordinary during the Void century. And to prevent it from ever happening again, they want to erase any threat.
@@maryamkhan2227 I like this and I have also thought about the Devil Fruits origin (maybe they weren't always fruit but actual devils) BUT! Vegapunk goes on to say; "The devil fruits are the "potential" of "human evolution" that humanity wished for "Oh wouldn't it be nice if I was like that.." "Wouldn't it be great if I was like this!" They have the "powers" of the diverse future of humankind. Therefor these "abnormalities" are hated by the Sea, the mother of all Nature!" He goes on to say they are beings living in a completely different world that Humanity wished for and envisioned. So I think they are literally just the embodiment of peoples imagination manifesting from this "other world" into fruits with wills of their own (cause beings have will power).
After 24 years, I don't know how Oda is able to keep all this to himself for so long. I couldn't keep my mouth shut this long and with this many secrets like Oda is doing.
Oda is truly one of the greatest worldbuilder, and mystery writer. Roger, Xebec, shanks, joyboy... One can make entire spin off shows based on these guys alone and we would eat it up.
My theory is that Joyboy was the Sun God Nika, not that he ate the Nika Nika fruit, but that he actually was Nika. After he died people wished for him and that is how the Nika Nika fruit came about, and the reason why Luffy is special is that not only did he eat the fruit is that he has the will of Nika
It's also said that the devil fruit almost had a mind of its own and always managed to not be taken by the government no matter how many times they tried, it's likely it purposefully lead it's way to luffy because luffy is a reincarnation of joyboy
Your theory is really nice but it's unlikely I mean the gorosei literally said that the Nika "fruit" has awakaned once before (800 years ago- the time of joyboy) About the fruit having its own will ...I think it's the same as merry having feelings Perhaps every df has some sort of will Who knows
I think Nika is older than Joyboy. It seemed like Joyboy was not a god (probably a giant). And DFs seem to have a life of their own, at least zoan. Seems like the spirit of Nika lives on through the fruit
I like the theory that Joy Boy wanted to be young forever so he could keep making people smile but it came at a cost of losing his memories every time he comes back
We also been reincarnated, we just don't remember our past life and it is made this way because imagine ur past life u are a bee and now ur human. How does haing memory as a bee can help u now? Besides our brain make us forgot things thats not relevant to not overload our braim.
I wanna know if Shanks knew about Joyboy or any of what would happen. He was the one who stole the fruit to begin with and he could’ve known the true origins behind it as to why he put himself in such a dangerous position as to steal it. Joyboy and shanks are the 2 greatest mysteries in this series and it would be insane if they both connected somehow when reaching laughtale
I second this. Shank even told whitebeard that he bets on the new generation. What made him so sure? Also what is his full name? Is he hiding it like Law? And eversince the Reverie episode with the giant straw hat in the basement it made me think of shank. And mind you, he has it since he was a kid on Roger's ship. Plus he was able to visit the 5 elders whenever in marijoise (maybe because he is yonko). Alot to uncover about him
@@bubble2904 it’s confirmed Roger found shanks in God Valley when shanks was a kid so he’s possibly a celestial dragon taken to pirate, like Donflamingo
@@bubble2904 it is actually canon that Shanks last name is "Figarland". That means he's related to the best fighter in all of Mary Geoise, St. Figarland Garling.
I think Shanks knew very well about Joyboy. And in my opinion Luffy eating the fruit was an accident. Shanks sticking around Luffy was a consequence of that accident. Maybe Shanks has a hidden agenda like, ally with the king of the pirates and become king of everyone ?
Honestly a lot of times in Shows, the author comes up with these crazy plot twists and gives the characters insane powers ridiculously to keep the show going. But it seems like in the case of One Piece, Oda actually took the time to develop the story over a crazy period of time. If so he really is amazing and One Piece is like the best show ever.
Hey I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about t this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future.
Oars possibly being the original Joy Boy kinda blew my mind. We all know that Oda loves to hint stuff in the most random ways possible, most of you remember that scene were Oars Jr was having a flashback to were Ace made him a giant STRAW HAT to protect him from the elements.
It’s funny how most ships represent something crucial about the identity of the pirate captain and his crew, and the straw hat pirates have literally been going around the sea in a ship with a sun motif “The Golden Sunny” for about 15 years now. Perfect boat for a sun god.
I think the Straw Hat (given it's color and shape) is an abstract symbol for the Sun as well. And given that one wears a straw hat when the sun is out, it's safe to assume that's by default a crown -- going with the Ancient Kingdom + Joyboy ruler bit. Overall, I am still excited by OP lore bc the story keeps me excited.
ooooo hadnt thought of the symbolism of the straw hat before, but that actually makes sense!! it's quite funny tho (and quite like Oda)...imagine a "crown" made of straw instead of gold and jewels hahaha
I've been in LOVE with One Piece for, I dunno, 18 years? And when the story is coming to a close and these themes of freedom and liberation, which are so dear to me, become so much more apparent, I can only like it more and more. Thanks, Oda.
I always thought of Zunesha’s “crime” as being straight cap 🧢. I believe he did not actually do anything wrong. But the bad guys 800/900 years ago forced him to walk the ocean forever to persecute him for being friends with Joy Boy. Or, they manipulated the situation somehow to where it would justify him being sentenced to this punishment. Something like those things.
the crime I believe is that he ran away, I think JoyBoy asked him to save some of their people so their legacy live, these are the ones who wrote Poneglyph and JoyBoy told them to make sure future knows about happened somehow so they came up with Poneglyphs, and their kids are the descendants of D family, which to me are basically related to the actual name of Great Kingdom that starts with D, so every person have D in their name is descendants of people who ran away with Zunesha, so he felt like he commited a crime when he didnt defend the kingdom.
I think Kaido wanted to die, and the only person he believed could do it was a person who was given prophecies that he would do it. He even said “the person who beats me is who is going to be Joy Boy.” The entire time he was building up Wano, not as a means of exploiting it because he could have taken over other parts of the new world to do that, but because he was preparing himself to become a necessary roadblock for Joy Boy, and wanted the next shogun to be his offspring so he pushed her to be his enemy.
I love this theory, and I hate to be THAT person, but technically, Robin isn't the only person in the world who can read poneglyphs. I wasn't sure if you were trying not to spoil anyone or not, so I held my tongue, but Oden's father can not only read them, he can write them as (if my memory serves me right) it was a tradition passed down through the Kozuki family for generations. Sorry, it was just a minor thing I picked up on, still loved the video and the theory though! I look forward to when we get to the point where Oda explains everything surrounding the void century and who Joyboy was and what he meant (I was eating up the lore-packed chapters on egghead). It's so exciting!
Nice observation! There should be even more people who can (for whatever reason) read them. Otherwise there isn't a real competition with characters like Blackbeard oder Kid i.e. to become the pirate king; except if you don't have to acutally read them to get the location/way to laugh tale.
@@farhansyabibi170 carving in the stones like the ones the poneglyphs are written on (I forgot to clarify that sorry, since carving and writing are two different processes)
The reason the rubber fruit is so powerful is because of the power of imagination. By imagining you can do anything just like how luffy changed the ground into a rubber. It’s sooo powerful because it alters the fabric of reality itself and changes it.
You forgot to mention that the 3rd Eye Tribe also can read the ponegliphs and fun fact other than Luffy/Roger/Momo/Oden the 3rd Eye Tribe members are born with the ability to use and hear The Voice Of All Things. 👍👍
I think it's important to squish the Will of D in this theory too. *IF* Joyboy was the *FIRST* Pirate, he had to have a crew. A crew who was separated when the ancient kingdom fell, The 2nd coming of Joyboy would have been a reason for the D's to pass down the origin and maybe plant an idea of resisting the 20 kings (World government) It's been 900 years and the ideals didn't quite make it as we can see with Garp becoming a Marine. it is also possible for them to have been separated across The World. I'd like to think that the older generations of the D's tried to get back together to wait for Joyboy. It would also explain the bad reputation the D's contain for chaos when in reality they *were* trying to become "one piece." (if you can call it that.) with popularity (Although if I'm not wrong the D's as natural enemies of gods, were hunted and I'm sure more than a couple of bloodlines were lost in the unwritten history.) but maybe, JUST MAYBE the new generation of D's are unconsciously trying to find each other like they're limited edition collectibles.
@@sasabalta168 read again, thanks to the voice of all thing Roger could "read" ponglyphs but not by reading them like robin or oden if you paid attention you would know that it says he could hear voice of seaking and even non-alive things. And we alreray know that momo is going to learn the language of poneglyphs. Its shits anyways oda is ruining it all it will soon be like attack on titan with its very bad ending
He could 'hear the voice of all things' so he didn't need to be able to actually read it. He could "hear" it. That's how Roger figured out the Phoneglyphs.
I’d have to go back and rewatch the episode but I believe Joy boy was referenced before that during impel down. I remember Ivankov called “Luffy” Joy boy saying he’s “their” Joy boy because they were slaves/imprisoned when Luffy freed them.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Nika is supposed to save oppressed people and arrive on the coming dawn. Luffy saved a lot of enslaved people while traveling the world on the Romance Dawn. This could be why Luffy was able to be Joy Boy reincarnation rather than Kaido or the others he fought, because Luffy and Joy Boy/ Nika all not only had the same goals but they also took very similar actions.
I used to think Joyboy( former Nika) was a giant but not anymore Oda showed us that Luffy could become a giant in his awakening Isn't that enough foreshadowing that joyboy could indeed be a normal human ? The gorosei said that the only one to awaken Nika (other than Luffy) was joyboy Hence, like Luffy joyboy could also enlarge Luffy always blends and become friends with people (no matter what their race) I think that Nika has the power to enlarge (gear 5) and shrink(after gear 2nd) so that Luffy could get to know giants and dwarfs even better By this way , neither Luffy is a normal human nor he is a giant or dwarf He is a savior and friend for all
Well, it said, that the power of the "Sun God Nika" Devil Fruit gives properties to the user's body, limited only by their imagination. Which means it can change both size and shape - a perfect tool to blend in another cultures, even other races. Or anything at all - literally gives the power of adaptation to it's environment, if used properly.
Nice video! I have a cool theory where shanks definitely knew about the Fruit's true nature, but I truely believe Benn Beckman was the person to set this all up and have Luffy eat the fruit. It doesn't blatantly show it in the anime, but on Episode 4, Benn is the only one with the odd reactions out of the group. When he ate it, everyone was shocked and surprised but him, when luffy got kidnapped into the ocean, everyone worried but him, he smiled actually. A few other instances where it only shows Benn right before he ate the fruit, like he was anticipating it slightly. Also, although shanks probably didn't want Luffy to eat it right away aswell, which i highly doubt sense they just had it laying down right beside him, peep how the fruits power is to do whatever you imagine, and you know how when kids get their ears pulled they think their gonna fall off or stretch? In this case, he was upside down being man handled by his legs, shaking him up and down. Luffy could've thought his legs were gonna stretch or fall off, and that's what happened. His initial reaction of his own new powers, plus Shanks initial explanation (which i believe was set up by shanks to purposefully nerf him because he knows in order to be a perfect candidate for the sun god, you must go through things that Luffy went through later on to perfect it.) which he quickly told and gave luffy the idea that he is a rubber man. Another thing, Luffy never actually fit the description of (not being able to move in water), he's moved in water before, by desperately trying to swim from something, which you shouldn't even be able to do that with a DF, he just imagined he wouldnt be able to swim properly because of what shanks said to him when he ate the fruit, there for giving him that though that he wouldn't be able to which basically mean't he couldn't. The ORIGINAL Devil Fruit, which is the one luffy ate, was the original, and the rest were copies which actually don't allow the user to swim, not the Nika Fruit Luffy ate. It might be a stretch but honestly it makes a LOT of sense from the stuff we know now in the story. Thanks for reading.
Not really, Luffy does has a rubber body, is explained that Nika himself has a rubber body, wich know that i think about it, it explains why his form of representation is so rubbery, also, ALL and i mean ALL devil fruits grants the user with the weakness to the sea, as Vegapunk explains, df are made from people's dreams and wishes, but Mother Nature doesn't like this and hence it "turns her back" against df users and makes them weak to the sea water
Its interesting how joyboy and the mermaid princess are the only known reincarnated characters in the series and how well oda depicts free will and fate/destiny working in a intertwined fashion and what joyboys or luffys true dream would mean by the end of the series
I don't think the second coming of Joyboy is a prophesy. I believe that it's a historical (?) record. That's how Roger knows he was too early, and how various characters with knowledge of Roger's trip to Laughtale know things that are going to happen decades before they happen, but they just don't know everything.
At the time that Roger and his crew found the records of the second coming, it was a prophecy because it hadn't happened yet. Only now that Luffy is born and has unlocked gear 5 is it history
I don't think any of you understand what I'm saying. Time travel is a real thing in the One Piece world and Laughtale is a historical record OF THE FUTURE that the Rogers Pirates found at the end of the Grand Line, and the tale made them laugh. That's why the Rogers Pirates knew they were exactly 20 years too early and why Silvers Rayleigh could have told Luffy how everything is going to end if he wanted to know. They aren't future sight, predictions, or prophecies.
@@Atriviality If its a telling of events yet to come, why did Zunisha recognize Luffy's awakening as the return of Joy Boy and say the sound of the drums of liberation was nostalgic?
I don't make predictions too often when it comes to One Piece, but I have a feeling when we get Zuneisha's full backstory and what happened during pivotal events of the great war, it is going to be one of the most emotionally impactful character arcs we have ever gotten from Oda. You used the term "loyal", yet he was cursed as a punishment we can assume was more or less a betrayal. I beleive that our Mink-toting friend was either duped, manipulated, or blackmailed into some form of action, lack thereof, or betrayal by the enemy (Imu or one or all of the kings of alliance of Nations that became the world govt). I believe this and/or the possibility that false information about what really occurred would skew the perception of a huge turning point event involving Zuneisha. And think about this, Joy Boy is essentially Luffy in spirit, the one character we know inside and out. Can you picture Joy Boy (Luffy) cursing or allowing a curse or punishment to be placed upon one of his loyal friends/nakama/allies? Of course not. This outcome reeks of a trifling little ratscallion, perhaps even by the BB/Rocks of that era. A giant elephant unlike any other creature who was close with Joy Boy and the allies of the ancient kingdom such Wano and the minks, being cursed to wander the season carrying Zou, probably having saved it from a terrible fate once the outcome of the war was decided? I can almost guarantee the Zunisha story or character redemption arc in the great War about to happen in the current storyline will be a sheer Rollercoaster of emotions and Impeccable storytelling by Oda, and when the story ends, Zunisha will be looked back on as one of the most incredible characters in the entire story!
I'm still very new to the story, but is it possible that Joyboy's hat is enlarged because Joyboy himself stretched it out to fit an enlarged version of himself? Could he have had similar abilities to Luffy? Luffy has shown the ability to stretch inanimate objects around himself- perhaps that's why the hat must be maintained at a low temperature- rubbery materials are usually somewhat stable at a cold enough temp.
[06:08] "After all these years in the series, we finally learned that Luffy's Devil Fruit wasn't actually the Rubber Fruit, it was a Super Powerful Devil Fruit called The Sun God Nika Devil Fruit." Yeah... Tell that to the fans that still believed that Luffy has Rubber abilities... I've argued against them many times in the series already... They still think it's just a Rubber Fruit when it was literally confirmed in the Mangas, several times now...
As far as i know its giving the eater a rubber-like body and powers that can bend anything to their will, only limited by imagination...something like that? Still has a rubber-like body, if he isn't in his Gear 5, so basically he still has rubber Abilities, although he can use Gear 5 and go crazy.
@@GeM_p_n True. However, there are some people that believed that it is still a Rubber fruit. So they don't believe that the Rubber aspect is just a side effect or the extra effects. I'm on the fandom that thinks he has Cartoon abilities. As it was confirmed by Oda that it is inspired by Tom and Jerry, it makes a lot of sense of what Luffy is doing. The rubber-band effect and all.
@@destiny6080 Still in denial huh? Check Oda's latest interview regarding this episode and chapter. He clearly states that this is inspired by Tom and Jerry. You were wrong. Step down. You'll make a fool out of yourself more if you keep denying it...
@Asriel_Cypher dude its power is limited with imagination the tom and jerry is luffys imagination as well who said that it was not inspired by tom amd jerry
One Piece Theory: Joyboy was actually the creator of the Ancient Weapons because of previously owning the Hito Hito No Mi: Model Nika therefore letting his own imagination think up the ancient weapons which is why he was in control of them and had them in his possession. Not guaranteed that he owned the Hito Hito No Mi: Model Nika but if he did it would make alot of sense and hint at the Ancient Weapons being in his possession which would make the reason as to why the World Government was so scared of him that they decided to wipe him off of all history.
If you ask me, the reason JoyBoy was apologising to Fishermen is because of what Shyarly saw "Luffy will destroy Fisherman Island" and same reason why he left Noah for them...... Luffy will destroy the island when he destroy Mary Geoise which is located above the island in red line, when he destroy it Fisherman island will be destroyed as well, the destruction of these will make all Seas from (West - East - North - South) meet in one location and that location will be called "All Blue" which Sanji looking for. As for Roger saying he is too early, One Piece to me is a "Gold Ponyglyph" that talks about the past and the future, Roger found all Road Ponyglyph that leaded him to there and when saw One Piecei just a Gold Poneglyph he laughed, it told him about Joy Boy and Ancient Weapons will be born, Roger saw an Egg over there which is Uranus and since that egg yet to be born he knew it wasnt him, he then asked Shyarly when Mermaid will be born and she said 10 years to confirm what he learned from One Piece, then heard the whales talking about their rulers will meet in which Roger knew someone will born and will suprass him and thats Luffy. As for Ancient Kingdom, what Whitebeard said is that Land of Gods was high at top I truly believe the kingdom consisted of 3 parts, Land of Gods (sky) + Mary Geoise (Land) + Fisherman (Sea) Island all connected on top of each other living in peace, now I have 3 theories where this Land of Gods currently is, First is that Imu used her power to destroy it, second is that 20 kings and Imu destroyed the path leading to it so it still exists, 3rd is that where the Pangaea Castle located which as you can see it sort of surrounded by clouds unlike other parts of Mary Geoise.
Honestly, this had me wanting to put in that for a while now i’ve been thinking that one piece= one peace. As in joy, liberation, and everyone living together in one peaceful world. Not to mention, they named the place laugh tale,, to me that just means there wasn’t really a big treasure materialistically and whats on the island is more a concept. I shall wait and see if my theory (which others have probably thought of too 😅) is correct in a few years.
Oden told Toki about the second coming of Joy Boy so that's why she sent them twenty years in the future when Joy Boy would be grown up and could help them with Wano.
Toying with the idea that Luffys straw hat works as a vivre card and connects back to the bigger one in imus possession and is slowly working it’s way back to the larger one, it’s possible that something might happen if Luffys straw hat were to connect with the larger one being frozen
One thing that hit me that you did not mention is that Luffy's father, Dragon most likely knows of the history of Joy Boy, considering Roger and Dragon are brothers either by blood or closely like how Luffy is to Ace and Sabo. Dragon literally has a group called the Liberation Army. Zunesha says the drums of liberation marks the return of Joy Boy. Dragon, luffy's dad, liberation. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
And when you think about it, the supposed ambitions of Joyboy and the confirmed ambitions of Dragon align pretty much perfectly...assembling an army to take down the world nobles and bring freedom to the world for good!
My theory is that the all blue might be where the grandline is destroyed by joy boy and the Noah is to protect the fish men because they live under the grandline and that is why joy boy apologized because he couldn't destroy the grandline, he was betrayed by Imu for selfish greed for power.
kaido was probably rescued by xebec and before that when he was a child he heard the tale of joyboy the liberator of slaves and thought he is the one after rescuing him. and that is probably the reason why he was in his crew. after xebec lost kaido lost his joyboy and went mad doing the opposite things of what he wanted and becoming evil and enslaving others thinking that the real joyboy will come stopping him so he will finally be able to meet him
Sukiyaki is still alive, so he, too, can read the poneglyphs as the kozuki were the ones to craft all the poneglyphs, which means that he can teach momo now too, because Oden couldn't teach momo.
Wait. Because what if Oda actually paralleled joyboys background to Odens? I personally believe Oda has been telling us what happened in the void century this entire time, not only that but history has actually been repeating itself. But now it’s being done the right way with the right people holding the right powers.
The original silhouette of Joyboy in front of the moon was a normal sized person, the size of Luffy. So was Joyboy really a giant? Rather I think his awakening is what made him big to where he needed a hat that size etc... I think he awakened on Long Ring Long Land, seeing the island is basically his D.F. (Freedom, everything's bigger etc..) I think the original idea of the Nika fruit was to get bigger. First you stretch and then when it awakens you can be as big as you want. I think Joyboy was a regular sized guy who wished to be big and the wishing tree heard him. So the formation of the D.F. was from a wish of a normal guy who wanted to be big. I bet Luffy's dream and the original Joyboy's as well as Roger's was he wanted to make people laugh. That's why Laughtale is the laughing story. I think he accomplished that with his story.
Theory: there are several hints of the 20 families (World Nobles and Government) being connected to the moon somehow. (Noble space suits, Enel finding ruins, robots and records on the moon etc.) So the final battle will be Sun vs Moon?
Oars was also called "Devil" and was known as the "continent puller", something that really makes me think of the whole destroying the red line thing (to unite the oceans). For the devil nickname, it is typical of those opposing the "gods" (world gov). Also worth noting that the ancient kingdom giant robot resembles oars a lot
Doesn't Kaido say "You couldn't be JoyBoy either" because he was referencing himself? We know that Kaido has tried and failed to kill himself, a man only seeking death. We know Momo confirmed Luffy died and I can't remember the exact chapter or phrase but there was some tale or song where the lyric or something was like "returns with ones last breath" or something. Kaido was trying to kill himself because he thought he was Joyboy or could be? When Luffy finally died, that's why he said it, he thought it would be instant.
kaido himself doesn’t believes he’s joyboy. we see in his flashback that he believe that the only person stronger than him or who could possibly beat him would be joyboy. because of that, he thought about what happened with oden, the first person he thought to be joyboy but he couldn’t be since he was defeated and killed by kaidos hands and was like, “yea oden ain’t joyboy,” and so when the same thing happens to luffy he starts to think that luffy can’t be joyboy either since he “thought” he had beaten luffy in that moment.
It's revealed in King's backstory that King thought Kaido was JoyBoy but then eventually realizes he isn't. After that Kaido says I think Joy Boy is whoever shows up a surpasses me.
What I think is that gear 5 allow’s luffy’s imagination to become reality. Luffy has rubber based attacks because he still think he is a gum boy. But I think the end of one piece is going to be when luffy finds out his powers.
what if Zunesha's crime was helping Lili and Joyboy spread the poneglyphs? considering how strong the bond between Zou and the Kozuki is i think it's possible. the poneglyphs are huge ass stone blocks so a big elephant could haul them efficiently
What if Im-sama is an actual devil who was the opposite of sun god nika, and is currently in Joyboy's body? Joyboy received an eternal youth surgery back in the day from the previous user of op op nomi, then an actual devil fully takeover joyboy's body in order to live in the land of the living, we all know or at least most of us know that literal "underworld" has been mentioned a few times in the series, brook is a great example.
Got it. So joyboy is luffy who achieved the ultimate freedom and became the pirate king, then travelled back in time and gave shanks his hat and told him to give it to the man he thinks will become the pirate king (i.e. himself) The treasure is the time travel fruit. And Rogers comment "we came too early" signifies that he was the only one who knew the full story and realised that Joyboy's adventure was still at the beginning... but he didnt know who Joyboy was... so he told everyone to go after the one piece knowing Luffy/Joyboy will be the only one to actually reach it. And when you finish the series it will make rewatching it have a completely different feeling because all the hints throughout will make a lot more sense
Joyboy never gave Shanks the hat. Roger did. Shanks never made it to Laugh's Tale. Part of me does guess that maybe Gol D. Roger found the hat or something like it there, and that is the treasure
I just want someone to tell me how the even though the poneglyphs were indestructible, Roger and his crew(specifically Oden) were going around making extra inscriptions dropping messages.
The extra inscription was not particularly on the ponegliphs but on the shrine they were placed on. Like in Skypia they wrote it on the gold shrine beside the Ponegliph.
Because: 1) They never wrote on the Poneglyph itself but on the side of the bell that's actually made of Gold. 2) We don't know anything about the Poneglyph's creation except for the fact that the only ones who know how to make them are the Kozuki family, only they have the key to the Poneglyphs as of now, and we don't even know if they can "edit" the Poneglyphs to begin with.
The reason why Zunishka was punished to walk is because he betrayed Joyboy 800 years ago and just like Skar when he betrayed white beard Joyboy forgave Zunishka and his punishment was to take care of the Mink people on his back and walk the earth otherwise he would have been killed by the now World Government (Imu)
Honestly my theory is that he would be a giant since his all his buddies were large but I think the best part of my suspicions is that somehow the straw hat they all wear is the treasure he found and that's why he was laughing. Maybe Joyboy knew his reincarnation wouldn't be a giant
Gold Roger was known as the "Pirate King," the strongest and most infamous being to have sailed the Grand Line. The capture and execution of Roger by the World Government brought a change throughout the world. His last words before his death revealed the existence of the greatest treasure in the world, One Piece. It was this revelation that brought about the Grand Age of Pirates, men who dreamed of finding One Piece-which promises an unlimited amount of riches and fame-and quite possibly the pinnacle of glory and the title of the Pirate King. Monkey Luffy, a 17-year-old boy who defies your standard definition of a pirate. Rather than the popular persona of a wicked, hardened, toothless pirate ransacking villages for fun, Luffy's reason for being a pirate is one of pure wonder: the thought of an exciting adventure that leads him to intriguing people and ultimately, the promised treasure. Following in the footsteps of his childhood hero, Luffy and his crew travel across the Grand Line, experiencing crazy adventures, unveiling dark mysteries and battling strong enemies, all in order to reach the most coveted of all fortunes-One Piece.
14:11 the giant hat was probably a piece of Joyboy's ship and the original hat Luffy wears came from laugh tale and was Joyboys hat. Joyboy's crew were the original straw hats
I'm pretty sure Uranus wil just be Joyboy's thousand sunny, stretched out to become like 100x as large with luffy's awakening, which would allow him to permanently manipulate the size of objects. The stretched out island and giants were probably created by an earlier version of joyboy. Explains why the hat in IM's place is so large as well.
@@ReturnOfGodEnel I think Pluton is an actual weapon as opposed to a ship that can be used as one, but I'm only caught up to where the anime is, so I might just not know enough about what it truly is
At the first time when Luffy fought against CP0 there was a discussion on Luffy's health. They talked about how Luffy's Gear attacks harms his body. Since this time it was never a topic again. Doesn't Gear harm Luffy anymore? Or could this a problem at the end of One Piece?
A bit late but: Maybe it still harms his body, or maybe he mastered it and now it doesn't. That makes a bit of sense if you think how easily and fast he can go gear 2nd but how he needs a bit of preparation for gear 4th (like "inflating" his body) and gets exhausted after using it and needs to rest iirc for 10 minutes before he can go back at it again. That's my opinion and i might be totally wrong, but basicly to me it seems that either Luffy's body only suffers when using gears when he hasn't mastered them yet or that he gets used to some kind of "erosion" and that all gears still harm him regardless (less likely tho, since gear 3rd doesn't dwarf him after timeskip). Also, IIRC, it's stated that it harms his body but it is not stated that it shortens his lifespawn. So maybe he is able to recover from all the damage by resting and eating meat after the battle is over. Making the harm to his body a concern only if the length of the battle is so significant that the wear on his boddy stacks up to be so significant that might kill him. Anyway that's my take. Take it with a grain of salt like you should do with everything a random tells you on the internet. Have a good day!
Joyboy isn’t a name. It’s a title. Given to one who fights for others and spreads joy. This fits Luffy character as he has never plundered, robbed, or even mugged someone else. He fights to liberate those who have been appressed by others. His devil fruit has a mind of its own and even searched for each incarnation of Joyboy. As he once said: he doesn’t want to conquer, he just wants the most freedom.
Perhaps the most compelling theory is that JoyBoy is the origin of the world government having led an uprising against the ancient kingdom, however with how he saw the world going after his uprising he swore to overthrow the new world in turn hence how his power eternally avoids the hands of the world government.
I guess the story will go moreeee deep from now on knowing oda he just wouldn't bring reincarnation and all for nothing I'm really looking forward to see what actually happened in void century.
either Joy Boy is sun god nika who's powers became luffy's devil fruit but that's unlikely as the gorosei talking about it seemed like it was always a devil fruit and Joy Boy may have been the previous user of the fruit and luffy is the current user.
There's a reason why shanks gave up his arm to save Luffy, he knew about the fruit, joyboy, and that they had been searching for that fruit for centuries
Shanks losing hes arm has very little to do with anything. Originally he didn´t lose hes arm but odas editor wanted the scene to be more dramatic so they made it happen. Shanks losing an arm to a sea king when luffy could beat it without and issue in like episode 5 makes the sacrifice lose its impact. Sacrificing a limb is pretty over kill way to motivate luffy considering shanks also did hes best to discourage luffy from wanting to be a pirate. Luffy was a kid and spesifically a dumb and stubborn kid and shanks knew it, teaching any wisdom to luffy goes to deaf ears.
Did anyone notice in One Piece film Red (2022) , when Luffy was fighting Tot Musica, Luffy awaken his Gear 5 but it was first shown one year later in Wano ?
I don't think robin is the only one left in the world who can read poneglyphs , momo's grandpa (Oden's father) can also read them and will most likely teach momo. I'm sure there are others too!
maybe joyboy is the first pirate king and the clan of d were the members of his crew (monkey family , marshal , gol , rocs , nefertari , trafalgar , portgas , and jaguar (maybe a member or joyboy himself))
I love the idea of a dyson sphere, if you combine it with the hollow earth theory (Agartha)it would make sense, you just cant see it, but its there. My thought is that the one piece world is the Dyson sphere, and the sun is at the center of the one piece world, inside it, at its core (cosmic egg theory which is surrounded by a snake and when it hatches its a sun/sun god). The one piece world would be the egg, red line Jormangander, and the sun inside the planet would be the sun inside the egg, maybe made of aether or dreams. In the hollow earth theory there is a sun or geothermal source like Vega Punk talked about. It would also be surrounded by a ring or the redline/maybe grandline. Dyson spheres models have some in multiple spheres each spins at varying speeds causing variances in electromagnetic fields, which sounds like the navigation problem and crazy storms in the one piece world. All the universal models of one piece world are geocentric not helio, which makes sense in the hollow earth theory due to sun at center of planet. If true this would explain the sun tree eve's power source which is the sun, but if this theory is true, then the eve tree would be absorbing an transferring light from the center of the planet to fishman island and out to the top of eve tree. It along with sabody trees seem to breathe shown by the resin bubbles which could also spreed its particles out to rest of the one piece world, making the breath/voice of all things that connect the world together, maybe haki observation. Enies lobby might also be explained if the hole goes down to this sun which would make sense why it is always daylight there.
Thank you, I also have a theory based on the axis mundi or a tree that goes through the center of the earth, making it an axis. This may mean that the sun tree eve and tresure adam tree could be one tree that extends through the center of the earth, with the sun next to it, or right in-between them.

Gotta study everything you’re saying too!
Its wild to think Luffy went from having a devil fruit that people said he made into a good devil fruit to the best devil fruit. It seems Luffy, Joy Boy, and Nika are like a reflection of the holy trinity
One piece theory: what if shanks already knew that the gum gum fruit was actually the nika fruit and he stole it for himself however luffy ate it b4 he got that chance to eat it himself and he told luffy he just ate a rubber fruit bcuz a kid holding that much power and being aware could be dangerous also thats y he gave luffy his straw-hat bcuz he knew luffy was the chosen 1 it would also explain y he gave up his arm so willingly to show the feature generation that even in moments if trauma and destruction u can still be happy and thats how he correlates to joyboy bcuz luffy has the power to bring people together and bring hope to the ones who had their morales shattered
Personally, I think a better theory is that he intended the fruit for Ace, and I have a couple reasons to back it up. 1st, and while it isnt cannon, Shanks did tell Uta that the fruit wasn't for her. 2nd, Shanks himself didnt steal the gum gum fruit, Lucky Roo did, which makes you think that if Shanks wanted it for himself, he wouldve WENT himself. 3rd, if he did intend it for himsef, he wouldve just ate it straight away. 4th, remember when he told Ray that Luffy said the same words as "the captain", aka Roger? After Luffy ate the fruit, Shanks was pissed. But a day or a week later, he sets off to never see Luffy again until he became the Pirate King? Seems like a hell of a promise. Maybe what Roger told Shanks that we never heard was to find the fruit for Rogers son when the time was right. To summarize, I think Roger and Shanks both intended for the fruit to go to Ace, but after Luffy ate it, Shanks realized the will of Joyboy was meant for Luffy, not Ace.
Ok, guys. I figured it out. Joy Boy was the ruler of the ancient kingdom. He's a giant who donned a giant straw hat. His nakama are Zunesha, Poseidon and Imu (this is what we know so far). Joy Boy rides the Noah, which is pulled by sea kings thanks to Poseidon's power. But Imu gets jealous, kills Joy Boy, and erases his existence from history. And this, my dear friends, is what we know today as the hundred-year void. You're welcome
Returning to the anime, the Gum-Gum fruit is not a lie, it could be regarded as a low-key version referring to the devil fruit instead. It's like how a legendary sword obtained its distinction, due to being forged by a true "Forgemaster" and being wielded by the strongest of their time. Most symbols obtain their value from the beliefs invested into them.
Also can we talk about the Thousand Sunny being the ship for Luffy, definitely some ties to the Sun God Nika. As well as the Going Merry being the first ship for the crew, "merry" being a synonym for "joy".

They managed to get his straw hat when it is still under Nika's affect and decided to freeze it in order to study the ability, most probably intended to replicate the devil fruit into a smile fruit or to find a way to defeat the Nika user.
wait actually this makes sense
that's what exactly what I thought so Im not the only one in this theory
or he was a buccaneer like kuma and that is why that race was hunted down to extinction
Therefor these "abnormalities" are hated by the Sea, the mother of all Nature!"
He goes on to say they are beings living in a completely different world that Humanity wished for and envisioned. So I think they are literally just the embodiment of peoples imagination manifesting from this "other world" into fruits with wills of their own (cause beings have will power).

@@Monkeytheluffy56 with almost 1000 years since the last awakening of said god
I think the Straw Hat (given it's color and shape) is an abstract symbol for the Sun as well. And given that one wears a straw hat when the sun is out, it's safe to assume that's by default a crown -- going with the Ancient Kingdom + Joyboy ruler bit.
Overall, I am still excited by OP lore bc the story keeps me excited.

I think that Zunesha’s crime was actually sombrero, or perhaps even helmet, but not cap. That is just my theory though.

The reason the rubber fruit is so powerful is because of the power of imagination. By imagining you can do anything just like how luffy changed the ground into a rubber. It’s sooo powerful because it alters the fabric of reality itself and changes it.

It would also explain the bad reputation the D's contain for chaos when in reality they *were* trying to become "one piece." (if you can call it that.) with popularity (Although if I'm not wrong the D's as natural enemies of gods, were hunted and I'm sure more than a couple of bloodlines were lost in the unwritten history.) but maybe, JUST MAYBE the new generation of D's are unconsciously trying to find each other like they're limited edition collectibles.
the will of D is being for liberty, which is ideologically opposed to all of the celestial dragons (which garp also hates)

Yeah, maybe there's a powerful foresight Haki in the same era with Joyboy, that's tell him about the future, like madam shirley to Luffy.
@@MHMKidmaybe, buts it’s crazy to train future sight so hard into a haki that allows you to see into the far future
Luffy has shown the ability to stretch inanimate objects around himself- perhaps that's why the hat must be maintained at a low temperature- rubbery materials are usually somewhat stable at a cold enough temp.
came after ep 1070 seriously man i know now what getting chills is!
[06:08] "After all these years in the series, we finally learned that Luffy's Devil Fruit wasn't actually the Rubber Fruit, it was a Super Powerful Devil Fruit called The Sun God Nika Devil Fruit."
Yeah...
@@GeM_p_n
True.
@@Asriel_CypherIf his fruit is basically imagination comes true, then it's not cartoon abilities, it's just Luffy who wants to seem that way.

Still in denial huh? Check Oda's latest interview regarding this episode and chapter. He clearly states that this is inspired by Tom and Jerry. You were wrong. Step down. You'll make a fool out of yourself more if you keep denying it...
@Asriel_Cypher dude its power is limited with imagination the tom and jerry is luffys imagination as well who said that it was not inspired by tom amd jerry
One Piece Theory:
Joyboy was actually the creator of the Ancient Weapons because of previously owning the Hito Hito No Mi: Model Nika therefore letting his own imagination think up the ancient weapons which is why he was in control of them and had them in his possession.
Who are the “Fishermen” and what the hell is Fisherman island 😂😂😂
@@sausage5033 oh look One Piece nerd is here to say it's "Fish-Man Island" not "Fisherman".... Get out of here plz
Joyboy: The most ridiculous guy to exist
Thumbnail: ....wait.. is that Gabimaru from Hell's Paradise wearing a Strawhat???
Oden told Toki about the second coming of Joy Boy so that's why she sent them twenty years in the future when Joy Boy would be grown up and could help them with Wano.
i like this theory
Wrong. Toki was Luffy's crew. If you know, you know
Toying with the idea that Luffys straw hat works as a vivre card and connects back to the bigger one in imus possession and is slowly working it’s way back to the larger one, it’s possible that something might happen if Luffys straw hat were to connect with the larger one being frozen
Episode 1070 brought on the Drums of Liberation quite nicely, I could not believe what I was hearing.
Zunesha is so funny and cute to me. The fact that he was doing time and then randomly, people decided to build an island on his back xD
My theory is that the all blue might be where the grandline is destroyed by joy boy and the Noah is to protect the fish men because they live under the grandline and that is why joy boy apologized because he couldn't destroy the grandline, he was betrayed by Imu for selfish greed for power.
When Zunesea said He returned Joyboy!! I got Literally Gosebumps
kaido was probably rescued by xebec and before that when he was a child he heard the tale of joyboy the liberator of slaves and thought he is the one after rescuing him. and that is probably the reason why he was in his crew. after xebec lost kaido lost his joyboy and went mad doing the opposite things of what he wanted and becoming evil and enslaving others thinking that the real joyboy will come stopping him so he will finally be able to meet him
I think Kaido being behind the smile fruits that force a smile on peoples faces. Was him trying to force Joyboy's legend to come true.
It cannot just be me but listen to the way he said Nika at 10:46
Sukiyaki is still alive, so he, too, can read the poneglyphs as the kozuki were the ones to craft all the poneglyphs, which means that he can teach momo now too, because Oden couldn't teach momo.
The details is just mind blowing. The symbolysm of the strawhat and skypiea's panel just wow.
Bro hat's off to you for making this video. I fell in love with one piece once again.
what if Zunesha's crime was helping Lili and Joyboy spread the poneglyphs? considering how strong the bond between Zou and the Kozuki is i think it's possible. the poneglyphs are huge ass stone blocks so a big elephant could haul them efficiently
So Joyboy Personality Clash lol
Got it.
So joyboy is luffy who achieved the ultimate freedom and became the pirate king, then travelled back in time and gave shanks his hat and told him to give it to the man he thinks will become the pirate king (i.e. himself)
The treasure is the time travel fruit.
Wow nice theory 👏🏻
Joyboy never gave Shanks the hat. Roger did. Shanks never made it to Laugh's Tale.
Part of me does guess that maybe Gol D. Roger found the hat or something like it there, and that is the treasure
I just want someone to tell me how the even though the poneglyphs were indestructible, Roger and his crew(specifically Oden) were going around making extra inscriptions dropping messages.
The extra inscription was not particularly on the ponegliphs but on the shrine they were placed on. Like in Skypia they wrote it on the gold shrine beside the Ponegliph.
Because:
1) They never wrote on the Poneglyph itself but on the side of the bell that's actually made of Gold.
2) We don't know anything about the Poneglyph's creation except for the fact that the only ones who know how to make them are the Kozuki family, only they have the key to the Poneglyphs as of now, and we don't even know if they can "edit" the Poneglyphs to begin with.
@@HollowR1130 thank you very much.
man you spoiled the end but the information was pretty good so thank you, the whole one piece is starting to take place in my mind slowly
The reason Roger laughed because Luffy left him a letter saying I'm the pirate king not you roger

Little slip there at 10:47 😂
I'm pretty sure Uranus wil just be Joyboy's thousand sunny, stretched out to become like 100x as large with luffy's awakening, which would allow him to permanently manipulate the size of objects. The stretched out island and giants were probably created by an earlier version of joyboy. Explains why the hat in IM's place is so large as well.
Joyboys ship isn’t pluton? Or counter pluton? Or a different ship? It’s Uranus? Hmm

A bit late but:
Maybe it still harms his body, or maybe he mastered it and now it doesn't.

Luffy's isn't a Rubber Man.... He's a CARTOON MAN! It's like The Mask with Jim Carey!

Could Zunisha be the first character to receive the immortality operation from the Ope-ope fruit?
Uff the best theory, between the theory the One Piece is under enies lobby
Thank you, I also have a theory based on the axis mundi or a tree that goes through the center of the earth, making it an axis.
This may mean that the sun tree eve and tresure adam tree could be one tree that extends through the center of the earth, with the sun next to it, or right in-between them.

good theory

Most symbols obtain their value from the beliefs invested into them.
