Saw Asia do this a few times live over the years. Steve Howe does the acoustic guitar part with the guitar on a fixed stand and the electric around his neck to let him switch between parts.
That tepid applause makes me kinda angry. These are mostly family members of the band that form the audience! Anyone hearing this should be screaming and cheering for these young musicians. What else do they want? To the band; WOW! Great work by ALL. Special recognition to the snap and punch of the drummer. I’m sure the same would be said for the bassist but it was lost in the mix. Vocals and vocal harmonies were tight and sweet. The ENERGY was just GREAT! Thanks!
@@midwestconcertvideo As an SoR Dad, I’ve seen countless live shows and hundreds of SoR UA-cam videos. I never would’ve made my comment if it weren’t commonplace for audiences to be “tepid” and distracting with their mid-song chatter. I’ll give this group a pass and sincerely apologize if the small crowd got in the way of appreciative, earnest applause but I’ve seen way too many midsize and large “cruddy crowds” to be hesitant in pointing out jaded families and friends. PS - Small crowds are capable of BIG CHEERS. Enthusiastic support (claps, yells & whoops) can overcome those who might be missing!
I know how it is, I have been at dozens of _School of Rock_ shows, where parents are chattering during any song not featuring *their* kid. And I feel like slapping them, saying "Every one of those kids on that stage is somebody's, and some of them are doing really amazing things!" I don't have any kid in the school, I'm just a music fan, there to witness really amazing musical performances.
One of my goals with this channel, is to get more people to show up for _School of Rock_ shows, who are *not* related to anybody on that stage. I keep telling people "a _School of Rock_ showcase is your best entertainment value."

In their defense, there was a very small crowd there that day. Apparently, some sporting event was going on.
