Hi SL Family,
Thank you for being patience with me as I renovate my primary bathroom it was a lot of work but it was so worth it and the wait is over!
It all started with one word "THERMOFOIL" I never knew there was so much beauty underneath all that thermofoil. My builder grade bathroom cabinets was completely covered with it and the thermofoil begin to break down, peel, crack, and it was looking horrendous! I research and one thing lead to another. I found myself in a situation that the only cost effective thing to do was to remove all the thermofoil from the cabinets and start from the beginning. I was NERVOUS because I have never done this before but excited to see my version and the results of my hard labor.

Shanna, While I haven’t been on Your Site for quite sometime. Your Painting and Bathroom Cabinet renovation is basically mirroring the Reno’s for which I performed in both My previous and current Home. Years ago! When I learned that it would cost Thousands of Dollars to have My Home painted. Though I had the Resources, I just didn’t want to spend that much of My hard earned Resources Painting a space that wasn’t going to be My ‘Forever Home’. Like Yourself. Upon Hours and Hours of Research and Prayer, I buckled down with the intentions of Painting the Bedrooms. Since I was so frightened and unsure of My skills, I actually started Painting in the My Laundry Room. As I was Painting and Crying out to the Lord, that I would be a Good Steward over the entire Process, I became so extremely Proud, confident, and comfortable with the outcome of Bedrooms. During My Christmas and New Years break, I ended up Painting My entire House. The following Year. Since I wasn’t able to gain enough knowledge or confidence to Paint My Brown Kitchen Cabinets. I had them Refaced. Also! Since I wasn’t willing to continually be grieved regarding the Cabinets’ Brown insides. Those were also painted. While both Yours and My Painting adventures took on a different Story. At the end of the day. We can clearly See how the Lord granted the both of Us the Desires of Our Hearts.
Hi Claudette Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. As I mentioned in the video I was scared and have never done anything like this. I knew I had to research and read up on what I needed. I am glad I took the time to research and prepare myself. I now feel confidence because I have more 4 more bathrooms and my laundry room to remove the thermofoil off and paint. Shanna, Upon moving into My new Home and facing that terrible mirror. I immediately ask My Contractor to have it removed. Thank God, He didn’t, because after I had shared My concerns. He! Like Yourself concluded that replacement of the Mirror would be too costly. He suggested surrounding it with the Crown Molding for which He had installed in other areas of the Home. You did an excellent DYI on those cabinets and I am so Happy to have learned that You are proud, as well.

As you can see I have the bifold large mirrors I am so glad Mark took on the assignment and made the frames ...the frames are a game changer! We changed out the light fixtures and are replacing the towel bars and hooks etc. Next is the floor and counters. I was feeling you on that paint! I had never painted cabinets before either.
