Thankyou so much for the tutorial. I use ARB blanks, I am afraid of vinyl bunching up if the t-shirt shrinks. Can anyone please give me the feedback about arb blanks. If they have done applique with vinyl.

Was wondering if I need to adjust any settings to sew the satin stitch on the vinyl border. My glitter vinyl is pulling away from the satin stitch when it bends

Inside out on cold - I don’t dry - air dry and then iron on backside
Hi, I have a question I hope you can help me, with this embroidery vinyl can you use tender touch because I read that this material can not be iron, but usually when we finish the T-shirt we put tender touch on the back of the T-shirt and we have to iron the tender touch. Thanks.
If you don’t use a satin stitch and was to use a zigzag stitch would you want to put heat n bond on the back of the vinyl?

Shez there is nothing to peel off with this type of glitter vinyl!

Would you please tell me what temperature to wash a t shirt with embroidery vinyl on it? I test washed a sample, and some of the glitter came off.This was at the usual 40 degree wash. I can't offer this to my friends little girl, if the glitter comes off. Can you please advise?

The vinyl I purchase Mikri World does not require any special temperature!

Thanks! I do not prewash - but I do buy quality blanks that I have complete confidence in! I tested different blanks including how they looked after washing so I know they hold up very well!
What are blanks?

Looks really nice. Did you do the "A" in 2 steps: First attaching the letter (and cutting away excess glitter fabric) and then stitching around the letter "A"? Not clear on how the letter "A" was finished. Than ks.
Sharon the A is part of the appliqué - appliqués have 3 steps - 1. Placement stitch showing where to put fabric/vinyl 2. Tack down stitch which adheres the fabric/vinyl to the shirt (now you cut close to the single stitch) 3. Finishing stitch - completes the appliqué with a larger stitch that covers tack down and cut fabric/vinyl
What machine are you using or what would you recommend for starting up x

Thanks Ramona! No I do not have a heat press - I’ve had one in my amazon cart for a while now but have not purchased it yet - I’m not sure how often I would use it - do you use one with your business?!

Yes of course! It is an Ikea hack table made with a bookcase/table top and 2 adjustable legs - I shared the details in a video I have about my IKEA craft room.

Looking to troubleshoot.. after I finish my embroidery I noticed gaps on the satin stitch not sure how to fix. My machine is a brother pe900 , tshirt , floated , 2 cutaway stabilizer and used glitter htv.
Is the gray thread you use a metallic thread? I cannot find the #4835 at my local sewing store. Love you videos!
No it is not metallic but it does look like it when it is stitched. This color is actually called light grey - Floriani thread just has a nice sheen to it so it always looks so great!!
After stitching I had gaps in the satin stitch not sure how to fix it

So just to confirm, you do a single line stitch first, to get the vinyl on & then go over it again with a thicker, sort of puff pattern? Want to try this out as a christmas present & want to make sure I get it right lol
It is just the 3 steps for any appliqué design - 1 placement 2 tackdown 3 finishing

May i know during doing the Appliqué, for vinyl, the bobbin used can be the same thread (embroidery) which is the upper thread or must use bobbin thread?
Ainni Farhani I have never used anything other than white bobbin thread - I don’t change it for any projects that I do!

was just wondering what softwear you are using I have Wilco and can't install a full letter set in different sizes it uses emc format I think I can download dst files for a design but not a complete set of letters thanks in advance..

I know this has been up for awhile and I watch it frequently. Did you use a different size/type of needle to stitch the vinyl other than the regular embroidery needle you use?

Yes washable and safe in dryer - I recommend inside out and no iron directly on it - you can iron on the inside
How well does this vinyl wash up??
Very WELL - I just suggest to turn shirts inside out just like I advise on all embroidered shirts!

Mikiri world has closed down. Where do we find this glitter canvas now? I bought some from amazon but i can feel the glitters, so not sure if this will hold up to washing. Your's looks like there is a thick plastic film over top.

how does it wash?
Carina Bam hey! I wash mine inside out and hang to dry - but here are the “official” instructions from MikriWorldLLC ::::::::::::::::::
It is anti-mildew and abrasion-resistant. It can be washed in cold water on gentle or hand washed and dried via air dry, cool dry or hang to dry. Our recommendation is to HAND WASH. This is a vinyl product and heat settings are NOT recommended. DO NOT use chemicals such as Oxy Clean, Shout etc. with this vinyl as they can cause a breakdown of the vinyl.
Many of our customers have washed and drier using the "regular" settings on their washer and dryer and have not had a single issue in doing so, but this is not our recommendation.
If using this vinyl on items that are not preshrunk, please note that the vinyl will not shrink with the material. This can cause the vinyl to bunch up and even pull away.
