Data and analytics is what we used to spend countless manhours and resources on previously. Cannot understate the value of having that at our fingertips.
Well summarised, enough detail to understand and not too much to confuse a non-techincal person. I did wonder what EDI was, luckily it's the next video ;)
Hey Steve, Had a couple of questions, if you don't mind me answering. A) Which form of transportation mode do you think has more grip over the TMS? i.e., roadways or railways or airways or lastly, maritime? B) Do you think that cloud-based systems are the present and the future in terms of adoption?
Do you know what kind of user TMSADM is? Because I can read online that the user is both a system user (in client 000) and a communication user. I don't fully understand the concept of this and why TMSADM is a different kind of user in different clients. What is the role of the user and what does he exactly do?
API : Application Programming Interface, its like a plugin socket that can respond the request for data / information between the parties that exchange the data/information. EDI: Electronic Data Interchange, its a process where the electronic data pertaining to a transaction /event/ object/entity is shared from a hosting server to requesting party that requests it.
Thanks Steve for the practical approach in discussing how TMS work. Great...
