Harley is never locked up. Except for her interactions with the Joker. She's still a doctor/therapist. My hunch is that he gets off on an insanity plea. But she manipulates him back into prison. The pops of color are his delusions. The gritty colors are his/their reality. Sort of like Oppenheimer. But Harley in the end succumbs to madness too.
I'm a big fan of movie theories, especially when the film finally releases, and we can see who was spot on. Thanks for sharing!
I do think she used to be a patient at the beginning of the movie but then was at the end of her sentence and thats how why shes never locked up and theres also a mugshot of her as an inmate sooo
I think he gets broken out of the asylum/jail by a bomb. In the trailer it shows him falling away from a blast in the courtroom. And is running down the street covered in brick dust.
@@pobstrel The bomb is the big court house scene towards the end of the film. Look at the shot of Harley holding a gun to Arthur. The lawyer is bent over with a bloody hole in his head. The DA is Harvey Dent. We know this by the signs the protesters are holding. Could they possibly show an easter egg of Harvey Dent becoming Two Face from the bomb explosion? Well my theory anyway.

my man, the first one was made by a major studio and signed off by just as many execs... stop being naiive and get consistent
They never said he was The Joker in the first movie, just Joker because that's what Murray called him to humiliate him. The musical numbers in this will be shown as hallucinations, such as him dancing with Harley on the roof, and the wedding chapel scene. Judging by the trailer it looks like he gets sprung from either Arkham or the courtroom by an explosive device.

@@Jay3Entertainment She’s probably really there and an actual psychiatrist (probably the musical kind, hence the choir shot) and when he sees her, he ends up hallucinating that she’s locked up with him in order to cope and comfort himself
Im still yet to watch the first one...but Joaquin and Lady Gaga has great chemistry...u can see that clearly of these few seconds.

I speculate Harley is an undercover therapist trying to relate to patients by pretending to be one. Perhaps she does fall in love with Joker. Perhaps she is the abuser.
Both Harley and joker are theatrical characters, people are just mad that it may be a musical but it suits their characters. There’s leaked clips of Gaga singing to joker (Joaquin) looking crazy asf. I’m all here for it people just need to be more open minded. It’s like people who think one genre of music/movies are better than the other, grow up

Yeah I think it’d be cool if they flipped the relationship. If Arthur actually does make progress in getting help to stay sane but it’s Harley who keeps him in the state of insanity would be a cool take. Just gots to wait and see lol
The fact that it's going to be mostly musical is an interesting choice and a risky one at that. But if Todd Phillips, Joaquin, the same writers from the last film and the same producers are on board than I don't see how this one can fail. Don't forget they are making a sequel to one of the most succesful films of all time! Huge Box Office success and few Oscar Nomination with Joaquin winning his first Oscar for Best Actor. It also seems like he most likely will be Nominated the second time for this role again with possibility of Gaga being Nominated as well, the cinematography is lit 🔥, the costumes, the production design and etc all looks fine to me, I think we might have another successful sequel right here. If they decide to make a third one then we might have one of the greatest trilogies of all time! I don't think this film with suck by any means, but I do have some worries that it could be divisive, some people will really love, some will just like it and appreciate it artistry and some will just dislike it or straight up hate it but I am leaning still on more of a positive side, I truly think this is going to be a good film, better than the first? Mm, will wait and see.
it being a musical isn’t risky at all and it actually makes a LOT of sense. the joker has always had an infatuation with music and art and performance, and a musical is the perfect way to represent his hallucinations.
@Justhppy2behere I mean risky in terms that musical is not many people's favourite genre. Yes, it makes sense, but most people still would have preferred it to be not musical. That's what I meant.
If Arthur isn't the Joker, so I'm guessing that's not Harley Quinn; which in IMDB Lady Gaga is casted as Harley Quinn.

Think of the Harley hallway scene in Gunns Suicide squad, she had the music playing (the cartoon flowers etc), this is gonna be that except more dark, while the musical pieces are happening in their head (folie a deux means 2 people sharing the same psychosis and dillusions), in reality they will be causing carnage.
I liked this trailer, I hope they actually escape but either way the storytelling was great to me in the first so I’m expecting more of that. One question though, can you explain how Arthur is not Joker and who the Joker is?
@ZachGraves1 he says Arthur is not joker so he is mistaken this universe with DCU universe ( in this Universe Arthur is the joker where Batman is still young ) the movie is elseworlds
😂 What are you talking about? I'm not mistaking anything... Arthur is looney... No one in the film is afraid of him... Most of part one was in his head, and no one called him the Joker. The film is called "Joker."
@@Jay3Entertainment please put in to consideration this is a else worlds universe ( the movie maker is allowed to twist things as it fits, does not mean it should all be as the comic ) hope we all agree that the flash movie explained what can happen in the multiverse example: in Michael Keaton's timeline he had a flash and a Supergirl but Aquaman was not yet born, same happen here even if Batman is still young in this universe it does not mean that Arthur Fleck is not Joker,Another Example in DC, ( When watching Superman and Lois TV show ) on their universe we are told that its only Superman who is a hero no any other hero or heroin on that universe.this is all set as it is because they want to tell stories in else worlds.
