@@Ron-zr6se I have been in 92 countries and at least 60 are much better to live in and raise a family and for my experiences Russia tops the list for quality of life vs cost of living, honesty access to culture education health care and safety.
Newcomers take a little time to really appreciate how safe and free one is. It would never be understood that is it perfectly safe for a woman to walk through any neighborhood or park a long at 3am until they experience it. After the division and anger in the US it takes getting used to the simple fact that people get along everyone gets along. Zero stress out on the streets or meeting strangers. I have only been back to my native California 5 times for a week each in 24 years and it is shocking to see how much if declines between visits and how far into and past the suburbs homeless have spread and how few stores or malls are still open of restaurants. I suppose those living it daily do not notice since they never get out of their car, so life is reduced to working home and maybe grocery shopping and back to home with car windows and doors locked. There are no safe parks, no access to the arts plays concerts opera, ballet, even libraries shutting down. It feels and looks like the last stages of a collapsing civilization .
Never in my life did I think our country would sink this low.

I always hated the fact that most of the women of the Me Too Movement didn't come out until years later after they were sexually assaulted, but Tara told her story right away, making her story much more credible.
