I haven’t heard Home Free’s version, but this one was fun. I follow Peter’s channel. As much as I liked this, I can’t help but wonder what Voice Play would do with it. Shiver me timbers.
Voiceplay did Elvira before home free did it and Geoff arranged home frees version of Elvira actually I think it’s the same one voiceplay did just with the oak ridge boys.
So cool that The Bass Gang put such great music together over such great distances. Boggles my mind. Love your reactions/analyses, Mortius (though I concentrate on TBG, VP, GC and HF).
4:27 -- I had to play that back and slow it down to see "bonk." Hilarious editing! BTW, the stubble is so appropriate for this song in particular. Very pirate!
Your point about the covers is a valid one - I know Chris Rupp did a cover of Tim/HF's I've Seen, but I'm not sure that counts. I've seen several people/groups do covers of original shanties - Longest Johns Bones in the Ocean is a popular one, so maybe that makes a difference.
Been waiting for this reaction! (I only watch you and Peter react on a regular basis.) Knew this one would break you! lol Awesome song - This is the boys' best ever (in my opinion). BTW - The Peter Barber scruff looks good on you!
Mortius never seen an acapella group cover another acapella group? I guess he never watched the home free cover of clubforfive cover of brother in arms by dire strait
Thank you for this reaction, great fun. An acapella covering an acapella is so cool, hope it becomes a trend, just think of all the variations of each song!

Excellent but Im a purest much prefer Home Free. You really need to do more of them. So many great songs missed. Check out Adam Chances So Long Johnny speaking of sea shanties
Very good rendition of this song. But sorry. Home Frees is soo much better. I think Peter should have taken the lead on this one. He sounds more like Adam chance. Don't worry. I didn't ner hate this. It was good. Love these guys. Yet Home Free takes da cake.
It's not fair that both Casper and you release your reactions to this song at the same time.He for the HF original and you for the cover. How am I to chose?
It must be so nice to be able to sing bass and then anything else like the Bass Gang does, but I'm okay with my baritone range (usually D2-D4 before needing falsetto).
It's not a surprise that aca covers from aca originals are not a big thing, how many a cappella groups actually write original songs (medleys excluded)?
The really low bass lines were Peter this time.
Actually I think it’s Tomi??? Those sound like some thick Tomi P chest-fry notes
@@kylewc Peter told us during the premiere that he got to do the low bass this time.
@@Eileen_in_Vegas oh I didn’t know that, my bad. I guess when you get that low it all sounds like the same person
It's both Peter and Bobby. But mostly Peter.
I love Home Free’s version, but the Bass Gang’s is great too with all that bass! Thanks for the reaction!

You should check out the original with Home Free. It is like watching a movie.

The Bass Gang did Skull and Bones perfectly. I love that they did a great cover of this Home Free original
Growing out a little stubble, I see? I like it!
Volume 4 coming...
Mortius: "I hope so..."
Are you one of the features? Hmmmm?
Tomi P is my hero! Therefore, I’m a Bass Gang fan. Thank you for this reaction.
Either I'm fast, or nobody is here yet. Welcome to the early club. 👋
Yooooooooo
I got here at 2min

I love the Homefree version very much but I have to admit that I like this cover even more manly because of the bass and harmonies.

(Kudos also to the editor! although whatever you wrote for the chef's kiss disappeared too quickly to read, all the additions were appreciated😍)
I haven’t officially announced it yet but this was actually my first video with a new editor so thank you for sharing your Kudos!!
Thank you! Also the chef’s kiss comment was just “bonk” because Mortius accidentally bonked his mic there 😂👌
@@kaleighhenderson7354 haha even better
I love your reactions!
Peter looks yummy as a Spanish corsair 😍😍
Wow! Boy did they do a fantastic job!
#BassGang. Good cover. Great reaction.
I looooved this cover
Also love your own background!

The Skull and Bones Trilogy.

Literal first second of the video...HORRIBLE time to burp. I almost died xD
Not sure if you've listened to this, but I really recommend Who will know accapella version, a cover by jobby the hong. It's genuinely amazing

LONG LIVE PIRACY! (Mason rocks.)
True, but also, not Mason this time 👀😂

Entirely too short (just like the original).

Don't. Watch them both.
Always excited for new Bass Gang stuff!
you wanna hear some more awesome Bass Gang lows? Bury a Friend is a great cover
Bobby has a wonderful voice. He can really get deep.
The original version is epic, but the Bass Gang took that to another level.
It must be so nice to be able to sing bass and then anything else like the Bass Gang does, but I'm okay with my baritone range (usually D2-D4 before needing falsetto).
It's not acapella but colm mcguinness did a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody

Home Free does!
