Trying to put this kit on a small old garden tractor. Your my hero, I'm super confused tho. Thought I had a good grasp but perhaps not 🤨. Need to leave the 3 speed switch in low power mode, as far as the "on off switch it's just a 2 way toggle with the orange and red wires right?
Mine was marked key switch or somthing basically connect the two wires together and it should work. I have some other videos on these controllers in my go kart that might help.
If your trying to get the low speed to give more torque it won’t work. It’s the exact same as going half throttle. That being said I just connected the 3 speed Control wires together in different order to figure it out. Check out my bench test video where I couple these motors to one throttle might help.
How's the motor and controller holding up? I'm thinking of getting two 3000 watt versions and making a full sized go kart with both rear wheels powered. This seems like the cheapest option, but would like to guarantee the durability. Thanks and nice job!
I bought the 3000 watt kit and the motor is identical to the 1800 watt kit. It just comes with a more powerful controller... over the next few weeks I plan on changing over the motor controller and putting a smaller sprocket on the drive shaft... great minds think alike because my next step is def going to be dual 3000 w motors for this thing... ( it’s still working great btw) I have ran it in wet conditions and still no probs...
I have been working on part 2 of my outboard conversion with the same motors and plan on running 2 3000 watt motors if you haven’t seen part 1 of that video I would recommend it as it shows how to run dual controllers off of one throttle
Yes 2 wires hooked up to a switch or you can just connect them together and it will put it in reverse. We used a button that you have to hold down so you can’t accidentally leave it in reverse
Depends on the voltage of your controller they usually have a range they will work in. Mine was good from 36ish to 60 ish volts so anything within that range. As far as amps more is better lol
Nice, dude. You're a fun dad!
Thx

There is a bench test video that could be helpful as well

@@CJs_DIY I got it figured out, thanks!!!

great build what sort of run times are you getting
Not a lot because it’s lead acid. 1000$ for a lithium ion battery

nice build its funny how intense the music is
I made that music with GarageBand on my IPhone while on the bus to work lol
Is it easy to reverse the direction of the motor?

Cool shit. Nice tunes. 👍🏿
good job
Thank you
Hey does anyone know what ebike battery is suitable for this or is 48 13ah suitable or not??

It looks decently powered, maybe with lithium you can get a bit more torque out of the current draw
the 33A controller little small, we use 45A controller , is more powerful.
what is the batteries you are using?
Lead acid
