How To Add Money To MetroCard (How To Recharge/Reload MetroCard). In this video tutorial I will show you how to add money to MetroCard.
To buy or recharge your MetroCard, you must have access to a MetroCard ticket machine in many subway stations. Follow these steps to recharge your card.
• On the vending machine, press “Start” to begin the refill process.
• Select your preferred language on the interface that appears, and then select the MetroCard type.
• Next, on the interface, to select the transaction type, select “Refill your card.”
• Insert your MetroCard into the card slot on the yellow section on the right side.
• On the screen, select the amount you want to add to your MetroCard account, then press 'Enter.'
• Select the method for refilling the card. It can either be an ATM card, credit card, or cash.
• If you are recharging using cash, insert the dollar bills on the green section on the right side of the machine.
• If you are using the card, insert it in the 'blue' machines-only section.
• A beeping sound will ring, and your card will be recharged. You can retrieve your card.
• Choose whether you want to get a receipt on the screen. The receipt will be dispensed in the red section.
