It’s really dependent on my nail shape. Everything needs to have the same resistance and pull through the string. If one finger is trying too hard then it can make the hand bounce up a little, which will throw off the alignment. Also, I’ve noticed that action plays a role in this. If your action is pretty high, the difference in string height for your right hand can be significant. Other than that, I work on it slowly and work my way up with a metronome. You can try planting throughout, but it’s not necessary for me. I think slowly planting, both sequential and full, can be incredibly helpful… but when I go fast I don’t think I have time for it, At least for pimami and with my hands.
