This thing is designed for speed. I would love to power and fpv that little red bird. However, there's no denying: Au naturel, it's a beautiful model.

I've many flights with mine and flown it in from 8 to 20 knots, the stronger the better, keep your eyes on it though. Make sure you have the CG at 20mm, max 22mm and with 2.5 - 3mm of reflex set up. On your first flight throw it out level and as hard as possible can otherwise it'll nose dive into the ground at your feet. Once you get to know it and have it all set up correctly with you'll love it. The best reference available on the Mini-Q is the Aloft Hobbies Mini-Q forum. Note: I also have approx. 30% reverse differential programmed in so my Q's barrel rolls are a very clean axial.

@@RTRCTV I actually have two of them, one I'm yet to build, it'll be powered. You're going to enjoy it. It slows up enough to fly in 8-10 knots but you will need about 3mm reflex dialed in and if you fly to slow it'll start to bob it's tail, push it too far and it'll fall out of the sky. I have the reflex set up on a dial so I can do fine adjustments in flight verse trying to use a trim switch. The Mini-Q really comes to life above 15 knots, though it will depend on the type of slope of cause. Balance it on pinheads, not fingers and measure back from curved section just near the fuse, there's good examples on the forum where you measure the GC from. Refer my last post on the above mentioned forum.

Rob, have you flown the Q yet? Here in Mackay northern QLD Australia it's been excellent conditions for my Q for the past 2 weeks.
