This song may have been intended to talk about Harriet Tubman. However, I think it’s fabulous that everyone is seeing their own interpretations in it. They may not be the original interpretation, but I love seeing the people in the comments saying “Free Palestine” “End police brutality” “Women’s rights” If you can draw strength from this song, and apply it to the things you believe are important, that’s wonderful.

Harriet earned the name Moses as a tribute to her bravery, audacity and willpower. During her many missions to rescue 70 slaves, she depended on God's support and guidance through her prayers and visions. As we watched the closing credits, we thought of Harriet's speech and her final encounter with the plantation owner's who for years has been on a crusade to capture, torture and kill her.

I think people forget that due to the first sin God doesn’t just solve all the problems in the world 😐 that was essentially the garden of Eden but after Adam and Eve were cast out of there the world was no longer like that. Yes God is Great but he doesn’t just take away all suffering and pain from the world. That only comes when the second coming occurs. At the end of the day bad things still happen in the world but when we trust in God he can get us through them. Also it’s pretty disrespectful to call God “sky daddy” if you don’t believe in God fine but please don’t disrespect my God like that it’s pretty rude. Harriet was also deeply inspired and beloved in God. A lot of what she did, freeing the slaves, was inspired by reading learning about Moses in the Bible and how he brought his people to freedom.

Because Leftist believe segregation and racism towards everything and everyone else is a cool thing, if they do it 😂
"You're not supposed to sing this, because you are probably not "black""
And that delusional ideology goes to ground, like I'm white, but I'm Brasilian and I'm descendant of Europeans, Africans, Brasilian Indigenous.
And that girl probably would segregate me instantly when she sees that I'm white 😂.
And if you are wondering, anybody can sing any song, that demonstrate that we are over it now, not repeating the same mistakes

How can so much history and heritage be in one song? As an African (Somali), I am so proud of my African American brothers and sisters' history of resilience and struggle against oppression. In Islam, we have a term called Haqq (divine Truth). You are all the product of an unbroken chain of combatting falsehood with divine truth and justice, and ultimately fighting in God's way (and being vindicated as heroes). I'm so happy to call yall my siblings in blackness and humanity. Peace and blessings to you all ❤.

Harriet Tubman was one of the great American heroes of the nineteenth century. Showing remarkable courage, she guided over 300 fellow slaves to freedom after she first escaped slavery by crossing into free territory in the United States North. Not content to simply enjoy her freedom, she ventured back into slave states nineteen times to lead friends, family and strangers to freedom, sometimes guiding people on foot all the way to Canada.

God have mercy on the victims of 17th of November 2021 in Sudan , we don't mind losing blood until we have the freedom we all deserve, remember us in every child's face full of hope and an old man's face dreaming about every beautiful memory he had, Remember Sudan.💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Freedom is not something that anybody can be given; freedom is something people take and people are as free as they want to be.

    I been walkin'
With my face turned to the sun
    Weight on my shoulders
    A bullet in my gun
Oh, I got eyes in the back of my head
Just in case I have to run
I do what I can when I can while I can for my people
While the clouds roll back and the stars fill the night
That's when I'm gonna stand up
    Take my people with me
    Together we are going
    To a brand new home
    Far across the river
    Can you hear freedom calling?
    Calling me to answer
    Gonna keep on keepin' on
I can feel it in my bones
    Early in the mornin'
Before the sun begins to shine
    We're gonna start movin'
    Towards that separating line
    I'm wadin' through muddy waters
You know I got a made up mind
And I don't mind if I lose any blood on the way to salvation
And I'll fight with the strength that I got until I die
    So I'm gonna stand up
    Take my people with me
    Together we are going
    To a brand new home
    Far across the river
    Can you hear freedom calling?
    Calling me to answer
    Gonna keep on keepin' on
And I know what's around the bend
Might be hard to face 'cause I'm alone
    And I just might fail
    But Lord knows I tried
Sure as stars fill up the sky
    Stand up
    Take my people with me
    Together we are going
    To a brand new home
    Far across the river
    Can you hear freedom calling?
    Calling me to answer
    Gonna keep on keepin' on
    I'm gonna stand up
    Take my people with me
    Together we are going
    To a brand new home
    Far across the river
    Do you hear freedom calling?
    Calling me to answer
    Gonna keep on keepin' on
    I'm gonna stand up
    Take my people with me
    Together we are going
    To a brand new home
    Far across the river
    I hear freedom calling
    Calling me to answer
    Gonna keep on keepin' on
I can feel it in my bones
I go to prepare a place for you
I go to prepare a place for you
I go to prepare a place for you
I go to prepare a place for you
