Are you going to try video for your handmade business?

I love these video examples. I think people have a hard time with jewelry because your not really solving a problem on the surface but you are filling wants and maybe even needs. Great explanations behind the videos as well. I need to make some of these!

Hi you! I am glad it helped, I agree it needs to be thought of differently. This isn't about solving a problem, but filling "wants" and "desires" and appealing to emotions.

That video was very helpful- thank you! The woman who made jewellery- not only does she make awesome pieces if art, her video was top notc but she made me see her as a beautiful, warm person- I wish her a lot of luck! As for you- you have such a soothing voice, pleasure to listen. I am happy I found you as I just open my shop online shop with handmade mixed media art and I am anxious. But you give great advice and calming me down at the same time :) Thank you!

Deb I already have a channel. I create and sell my handmade cards on my Etsy shop but my channel is more about giving other card makers on a budget tips and tricks on how they can create beautiful cards. On occasion I will show my audience the cards that are in my Etsy shop and invite them to go there. My channel is small. I used to get 30 + viewers but then You Tube changed their algorithm and now I get only a handful. That doesn't stop me . I will continue to create them
This video was excellent. I will take your advice and see what I can come up with. THANK YOU!

Yes don't let it stop you! Make sure you do a bit of research for keywords and use them in your titles (I use TubeBuddy for this)

Excellent! Very good direction ideas I could Translate to what I make and subject what aspects I've been struggling to figure out how to convey.
Question: how are these posted? UA-cam? Is it something I can link in Etsy to my UA-cam channel? (Hope not through other social media, something I'm not comfortable at all with yet. 😆) Aloha

A fantastic video as always Deb, thank you so much. I'm going to come up with a game plan to do this and add it to my site and my Etsy shop 'about' section. Have a great week! xx

It will 100%-for-sure-definitely be scary the first time, and second, and third :-) But it gets easier!

    Hi Deb.
That was an excellent example & wonderful video❣️It spoke to our hearts, as well as our senses.
I demonstrate on video to create awareness about my art form. However, I realize the need to improve the manner in which I let viewers know about my Etsy shop. Creating videos has become a lengthy process for me at this time. Recently, the technical aspects of my videos have not always been in synch with production deadlines. This varies, depending on the editing app that I am using. Sometimes, I have to switch apps midstream, due to malfunctions or updates. But I will do what I can for now with my smart phone. Ultimately, it is a matter of timing the end result of my video with the completed pieces that will be sold in my shop. Sometimes, weather slows down production because of drying time. So, timing is important. But I am getting the hang of it so when it all comes together, I will have more experience & more products.
You have given me incentive to find a creative way to make this work. Thanks for the encouraging words and all that you do.💖

You are most welcome and thank you so much for sharing a bit more about as well. Videos are definitely not the easiest medium, but I do think that getting it out there is sometimes more important than getting it "perfectly out there". Motion is progress :-)

YES! This makes me so happy! Put it wherever your audience is! You can do IGTV and UA-cam at the same time.

Hi Deb, this is a wonderful video. Thank you for the training. Do you happen to know what program she used to put her images and videos into such a great promotional video?? I would to to try this. So glad that I found your website and UA-cam channel.

    • @Tizzitco
      @Tizzitco  5 років тому

Hi Lauren, I am not sure but any decent video editing program would do this. The best is to go with a tool you're comfortable using. You don't need to master Adobe for this for example and can you free apps or (if on Mac) something like iMovie.
