I have this particular vehicle and I must say you get a great deal for your buck. I previously had an optima and was impressed with the value and warranty. I waited a couple of years to see how the cadenza would fair and it was worth every bit of the wait. Highly impressed today as if it was the first time I saw it. I've received countless compliments on my vehicle and have slightly customized it. Job well done Kia. Next step... K900
There are some stupid, uninformed comments on here. This car is beautiful. Especially the interior. So it's a kia. Get over it. Everyone deserves a do-over. You're not the same zit faced kid with braces you once were either, are you?
You prolly dont care but if you're stoned like me atm you can stream all of the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf these days xD
Of the vehicles in Kia's lineup. This is the one that is the sleeper. It's a good looking large sedan. Competing with it's counterpart Hyundai Azera, Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima, and Chevy Impala, Dodge Charger etc.
@MotorWeek, please review the new Kia Forte5 SX Turbo. I own this car and it's absolutely a great buy. I don't think many people know it exist in the lineup of Forte vehicles.
The hard part of car sales is getting people in the door.People are more likely to go to a dealer if it the job is covered under warranty. While they are there the dealer will try to show you the newer vehicles in hopes of selling another car to you.
Bc they dont fix it for free.1) Dealers get paid by the manufacturer for warranty repairs. 2) Companies encourage dealers to sell extended warranties, usually these warranties increase profit margins on vehicles. 3) While you are in shop getting warranty work done they may offer you non warranty work like tire rotation/oil change bc your car is already in shop, then bc of the extra time its in shop, they ask if you want to rent a car for a day or two while car is in shop.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to get this car brand new. it depreciates very quickly, which is pretty typical for luxury cars. Just wait for a sucker to get the depreciation and buy it used. I got mine used, fully loaded, for less than 20K, which is a steal for the amount of technology you get in this car. No way you can get a barely driven fully loaded German car for less than $20k. It's absolutely a beautiful car and still turns heads everywhere I go. It is still looking like a $40K car when I only spent $20k.
Except for the Azera/Cadenza.Which have 89% parts kontent from korea and only2% US/Canada parts. engine, transmission and final assembly for the twins is Korea
Fwd luxury doesn't shout value in the scheme of things... I doubt any dealer will care that it was a good value when new, if you trade it in after a few years.
so, please explain to me, how can the manufacturer make money if they have to replace/fix a problem for free?. If what you are saying its true, I guess Toyota is making a killing with all those recalls lately.
Ok, if KIA wanted to be taken seriously in the luxury market, they would have to make a separate luxury division like Honda and Acura or Toyota and Lexus...
Build them cheap sell them high.. Thats what KIA and Hyundai does. Then again thats why they offer that huge long warranty cause they know their products are a failure and will break easily..LOL
Why would you want them to do that? So they can end up like Toyota/Honda where they only produce exciting cars on the Lexus/Acura brand? No thanx. I'll rather buy a car as good as those luxury brands for half the price and with double the warranty life. Besides, I don't care what people think if I drive a KIA/Hyundai. The only 2 things that would keep me from buying this car is that 1) The OPTIMA looks better and 2) Its not made in the U.S

I'm currently driving a 2012 Rio SX😂, I've got a long way to go, but the K900 is my dream car.
This car in white with the sxl rims is beautiful.

Agreed
Well put.

@Cristiano Langston definitely, have been using Instaflixxer for years myself :)

Gorgeous car!!! Thou the back is a strong resemblence of the A6, Tks Schreyer

People who know value.

Somehow motorweek’s Cadenza was about a second slow on the 0-60 test. Much closer to 6 seconds vs. 7
Was I the only one the caught when he said "Fake Wood Trim?" This car is really nice!
Peter Schreyer, former Audi designer, is the president and chief designer of Kia.
Kia needs to get its own design language. The Soul is pretty unique...almost. The Cadenza is a Frankenstein of German luxury autos.

Kia being the k9 next year

assuming that you still have the car, What would you say about quality? any rattles or weird noises? I'm looking to get into one very soon
It's weird that they're trying to position Kia as their premium brand. That said, it is a good looking car
How does that make sense? Wouldn't that make it the other way around? offer short warranty because their products brake easily?
I'm keeping my 2008 C300. Despite the features, KIA is still a KIA. No prestige factor yet. But a great effort by KIA.

It's the perfect German car
I'd consider a used one, let someone else take the depreciation hit!
unique died in 1969

I own one. I love it but plush ride?? Hitting anything more than a gum wrapper is jarring.
Look it up
Nope!! Dealers make their money off warranty repairs so does the manufacturer.
Well the designer for KIA is a former Audi designer, so go figure.
I know, but thank you.
KIA / HYUNDAI'S most are built in the USA now!!!!

ha, that was funny, pleasant looking fake wood trim, only motorweek
This shall not sell well too awkward of a price

I would not pay 40k for a Kia
Who the heck would spend $40k on a Kia? I'ld take a 1 year old Lexus tyvm...
I would spend more than $40k on a Kia. Kia is better than Lexus in every way. Idk what kind of drugs you on.
guess that's why the rear looks like an exact ripoff of the A6...
Too costly.
Ugh
wannabe luxery brands
