Letting go is the hard part. Thank you, Bishop Barren, for this short. Been struggling with tryna just enjoy video games in the moment and not think about them constantly throughout my day. Takes the joy out of living, really. God’s been trying to make that clear to me, and think your short video really helps with that. God bless you!
None of the things of this world last but sharing what you have is part of the good . We don't need to become attached, but we do need to be able to share the wealth with others.🕊 Some people are driven by working hard, so they can provide for their family, their church, and help the poor... Yes, they won't take that with them.... It's just human nature to worry about what will happen To things when you are gone. Give your worries to God🙏🛐✝️
Yes,the best thing to do: savor success, then let it go! In the end, we will all fade away! Thank you, Bishop Barron! Always mesmerized with your homily/ speech full of wisdom and learnings!❤️🔥🙏😇.
I grew up wanting to be a yuppie who acheived and accumulated things. I've learned it's more joyful to give than get. Took me too many years to figure that out.
So beautifully put! Nothing in this world you can depend on forever.😢 The one thing I have found that brings me consistent daily joy and a sense of hope and resilience is Rosary Prayer multiple times a day. Whenever I feel like I'm despairing or have no internal strength or energy a session with the prayer beads seems to deliver like a spiritual B12 shot. Thank you for your inspiring teaching always Bishop Barron. You speak timeless truths with elegance and simplicity. It's a joy to listen to your teaching any time I can!!!💖💖💖✝️🙏
Outside of being stewards of the earth, don't be swept away by the things of the world. We were meant for so much more. Listen to the words of the preacher; the words of Ecclesiastes.
Bishop Barron is full of wisdom given to him by Lord Jesus Christ. Just a wonderful personality ❤ God bless you to carry your job in holiness forever ❤❤❤
Thank you Bishop Barron for this insight. As I get older, I've come more to the realities of this very thing. My motto is becoming more and more, "You can't take it with you, so let it go!" It has helped me to not feel attached to worldly things. Growing up a military brat & even after, I am someone who has never had a real home. So, I have tended to put emotional attachments to certain cherishable things as they remind me of the places I've lived & were my home for a time. However, I've never really felt what it's like to be part of a community...with relatives & friends I've been around for a lifetime...a place I can call home no matter where I go. Somewhere I know I can return to for acceptance and support. With people who know me on a deeper level than just from some quick holiday visit. I've longed for that my whole life. It has been lonely at times because I have never really had that. However, I've been coming to the realization that the most cherished worldly things I have from all the places I've been will never be a substitute for any personal relationships I have been missing. And that there has been one constant relationship that has been with me always, though I haven't always felt or seen it. That is my relationship with God. He surrounds me daily and knows me better than I do myself. He's been a part of all my joys and sorrows. I've leaned on him for comfort, but also have felt I could speak to him truly from my heart in times of despair and anger. He has been that home base with me all the time. So, lately, I've been working more and more at letting go of worldly things so that I can feel more of His presence in my life, heart, & soul. To be open and further drawn to Him. To not not seek on the Earth for "home" anymore, but look more & more upwards to where my home was always meant to be.
It’s a very important and hard lesson to learn. The absolute happiest time of my life was when my two daughters were little. I was carrying my first born in a baby shoulder sling and she was asleep pressed against my side and the euphoria that I felt is indescribable. I looked into her sleeping face and I began to grieve because I knew it could never last. it tore my heart out because I wanted to stay in that moment of time forever. I wanted it to last always. My beautiful daughters are grown women now and I delight in then but there’s always this yearning inside of me to gather them up and hold them close again just like the old days. When I really began to understand that all happiness transitory transitory in this life, it broke my heart. It’s so hard to see eternity and Jesus’s perfect world because I’ve never been there, I only seen glimpses of it in the faces of my daughters.
Your wisdom is so good bishop , wow , if I heard this 2 years ago I wouldn't of paid attention , I'm just happy to have a job and place to live with a car to get around .....I love you GOD!!!
Just i am struggling with.. After years of working and sudenly all the busy ness come to a stop.. Restless sadness felling unworthy.. I should be dettached.. Living in present moment Let it go.. Prioritize on next chapter of life.. Tobe United with LORD'S LOVE so yes.. Find our Joy and happines In pray, fast and good deeds.. Remember where we will go..
We should savor those things (for a minute anyway) because when we do we're savoring the Grace from God occurring in our lives recognizing He alone is worthy of Glory & that every good gift comes from Him...but then, as Bishop says, "let it go!/move on!/Next Grace please Lord!"
Thank you for putting the book of Kohelet into a nutshell, one of my favourite books in the old Testament. Just accept that you have to plant the good seeds, but God will harvest.
I've been following you since you came online...some of your commentaries I know by heart...& generally I know what you're going to say before it comes out of your mouth. I Thank God For You; you have taught me so much."God bless you with a long, long live❤😊❤😊
Our pastor says it this way, based on what his Grandmother told him. Apparently they liked to play Monopoly when the family got together. They enjoyed all the dealing until a winner finally emerged. But then Grandmother would remind them a this LIFE LESSON: Life is like a game of Monopoly. Regardless of how well you played or how much you acquired during the game, when the game is over “it all goes back in the box.”
They're too far into their own agenda to even acknowledge God. If you do research into Klaus schwab and his top goonies you'll see they have no good intentions for this human race. One of their geneticists (I can't spell lol) even admitted on film he's trying to hack into the human soul. Truly evil stuff. Sorry for the novel lol
The World Economic Forum are an antichrist outfit. They own the material world ( BlackRock and Vanguard.) BlackRock will own everything. Then you find out BlackRock is owned by Vanguard ( Banking cartels, Gates, Clinton, Bush foundations etc)who are protected under a shield of anonymity because they are a non-profit organization. These are the ones who fund the universities and the woke agenda of anti-truth, stopping meat production and enslavement through the climate change lies. God bless 🙏
I would add that we can also be detached from the bad as well. Try not to dwell on our losses and failures or negative experiences, they also will fade away. Stay in the present moment and look for God's plan for you
💯💯💯💯💯 Rosary Prayer helps me get into this super helpful frame if mind. I've learned from practice that even if I'm weeping in emotional anguish from the hurt of this world I can literally *transform* that emotion just by focusing on a 20 minute session of prayer instead! It's the first thing I ever found that I could quickly run to to make the ugliness go away then I can regain perspective and things don't seem so horrible and unbearable anymore! Thanks for adding this to wonderful Bishop Barron's wisdom💖💖💖✝️🙏

You don’t need the edit stops. Bishop’s delivery is winsome and stands in its own rhythms. But love the content.
I grew up wanting to be a yuppie who acheived and accumulated things. I've learned it's more joyful to give than get. Took me too many years to figure that out.
But You DID figure it out!! 😉👍🙏
Amazing, so much wisdom in only one minute! “ if a homily lasts over 3 minutes , it’s wasting people’s time”
NOW! I finally understand "detachment." Thanks, Bishop!
