    Brilliant pattern and video. I'm struggling with row 6, i have far too many stitches, do you have a stitch count for the end of each row? :)

    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  5 років тому +15

      Sorry you are having a little bit of trouble I could totally see how that could be a little confusing. the st count for each row is
      row 1 - 20 tr
      row 2 - 40 tr
      row 3 - 40 tr and 40 ch sp
      row 4 - 40 cluster st, 40 ch sp
      row 5 - 40 bobble sts and 40 sc
      row 6 - 120 tr the beg ch 3 does not count as a st
      row 7 - 60 V sts
      row 8 - 8 cluster sts, 12 ch 3 sps, 44 ch 2 sps, and 48 scs
      row 9 - 55 tr, 4 ch 3 sps, 24 dc, 24 hdc, and 58 sc
      row 10 - 40 tr, 4 ch 3 sps, and 136 dc
      row 11 - 176 tr, 4 ch 3 sps
      row 12 - 224 tr
      If that doesnt help you, please let me know and I will try to explain it better :)

    Krista Troke, I saw your comment but it is not allowing me to reply to it or even have it show up, maybe you deleted it, but I wanted to reply and say that no it is not imperative to use triple crochet, the square in the video is about 15" and ive made a poncho for a 10-12 year old that is squares that are about 11".
    I would also just make the square and measure it up to them if you can, until it is their shoulder width and then it should fit them With all four squares sewn together. Hope that helps! I will be making another poncho soon in the a smaller size so if there is anything specific you would like to see let me know! ☮️💙🎶

    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  5 років тому

      Thank you for letting me know! I am glad you like the tutorial!
      If I were continue this pattern I would wait to do the very last row without the spacing in the corner and continue to do the row with 1 triple crochet in each st until the corner, 2 triple crochet around the chain space, chain 3, 2 more triple crochet around the same chain space and then continue with 1 triple crochet in each stitch and do that all the way around and for each row until you have your desired size, And then do the last row completely solid.
      You can also add a little bit of extra length with the outside border by doing more rounds around the outside, and the fringe adds length too if you are going to add that. I hope that helps and if you need anymore help just ask! Again I am so glad you are enjoying! Thank you for your kind words! ☮️💙🎶

      I’m not sure how many rows you would need to make it because I’m not sure of the gauge but basically you will want to make the granny square as wide as your shoulder width (or any width that is the biggest) when measuring from corner to corner across the square. • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  4 роки тому

      With this pattern you should not turn your work at all except for the bobble stitch round, you will want to turn your work around to work that round (with the bobbles) and then at the end of e rotund you will want to turn your work back around and work on the front side for the rest of the square and there should be no more turning your work

    Can I ask what size the poncho is? and if I wanted it bigger how could I do that?

    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  4 роки тому

      I would say this poncho would most likely work for someone with 15-17 inch shoulder width but if you would like it bigger I would repeat the last row as many times as you would like get the size you need

    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  4 роки тому

    What size is this poncho small medium etc...I would like to make it bigger as I am a plus size woman so how would I do that

    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  5 років тому +1

      I would say this compares to a medium, or a small large. You will want the square to be about shoulder to shoulder or a little bigger measuring diagonally from corner to corner across the middle of the square. This square measures 19 inches when measured diagonally. If you need it to be bigger I would repeat the last row until you have the size that you need ☮️💙🎶
