This is a gorgeous poncho! May I suggest an easier and faster way to make fringe? Find a piece of cardboard or a book or box that is the length you want your fringe. Wind yarn around over and over then cut at the top. Boom, there’s all your fringe pieces, all the same size.
The world needs more talented and beautiful people like this , i just ordered the most beautiful handmade crochet blanket i look at it and think a person made this and its amazing 🦋🧡
Oh my God, I'm so glad I found you!! I saw shorts on UA-cam, I thought, "Oh, she looks so much like a Pinterest girl, maybe I'm right and Smoke can find a tutorial on that poncho?" and I found it!! I admire your beauty, style and aesthetics 🤤😍
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I have been crocheting for about 16 years. Taught myself via UA-cam. I am English, but I ALWAYS refer to the stitches in the US version. I am an old hippie! (59) 😄 and I wanted to thank you for this wonderful tutorial - as many of my friends want to learn to crochet - your video will be my "direction" for them. You have explained everything so well. This is a simple pattern, but with correct yarn, it is just so wonderful - flowing, hippie and boho. I have just made one in HObbii metallic yarn (I know this sounds weird, but it really has worked so well). Tassels. I am tassel crazy and I use books to create - still a faff and time consuming, but not like how your husband is doing it - strand by stand. Your husband would be very happy to use this method! Just wrap around about 60 strands and snip at base. Thank you again, though, for amazing video and I love your style.
Omg i just found this gorgeous yarn ive been wanting for 50% off and its PERFECT for this and ive been desperately needing an arm coverup piece that is still desert heat friendly! You have so many patterns i want to make, but this one will be first!!
I love your channel that I am watching as I am knitting a kerchief headscarf. I'm a young, soon to be 70 year old. I learned to crochet in 1969 at the age of 15. Your poncho pattern reminds me of one that I made back then. Can this poncho be worn as a skirt? You are a very good instructor.
Just finished one of these! I used Loops & Threads Facets in the colorway Seaglass. It's so pretty! Now I want to make another one...💖 I think I'll make one for my niece for her 16th birthday.
OMG I just finished making this, and it's my favourite thing EVER!! Thank you so much for an awesome tutorial, and for sharing your beautiful work with us who are less talented, thereby giving us the gift of being able to make something so stunning! xoxo
Thanks lady! It’s beautiful! Making ponchos for family for Christmas. Also making a witchy one for Halloween. We also have a “speakeasy” in the basement and we dress up. This is a cool pattern for flapper attire 😂
it’s a worsted weight!! :) i *think* 96? and then possibly 112. i’m not 100% sure about my math if it’s accurate, but i would definitely like to try the 96 sometime to have a looser one :)
this is a good pattern but honestly i wish you would put captions for what your doing like for example " round 1: dc, sc, dc " instead of walking us through EVERY SINGLE STITCH if we're doing the same thing over and over again it just seems unnecessary😭 also even if you dont or cant do captions i wish you would just TELL us what were doing before hand rather than just DOING it bc i had to keep going back to count how many dc's you did before doing the two dc's in one😀 sorry no hate its just sooooo inconvenient to people who dont want to watch every single step
Of course you have TATTOOS. Why?? Why would you do this to yourself?? It's just so frustrating seeing all you young people who think you have to do this to yourself in order to appear all cool and with it, or to rebel or whatever the reason. When I was growing up, we would never have done this! And what gets me is that I have ranted against tattoos for over 20 years online, typing my fingers to the bone, trying to help people online understand that having tattoos creates a bad impression, attracts the wrong type of people and can limit your job opportunites. Think of your future!
Type all you want lady, people do what they wanna do lol. Tattoos have permanent meaning to a lot of people, save yourself some time and stop leaving passive aggressive comments to people just trying to share their talent with the world. Pray about it if it bothers you that much, judgement is ugly.
@@abbieduncan6093 I have said over and over how furious it makes me when people tell me that tattoos have meaning for them. I have said over and over that it doesn't MATTER what they mean to people, can't you understand that? people see tattoos on people and don't care about the meaing. all they see is that you are a person with tattoos. and think of the type of guy a young lady is going to attract if she has these things, and vice versa. surely you understand that most parents want their daughter to date and marry a nice, decent guy who would not be attracted by tattoos. and vice versa. gee whiz.
@@Cindybin46 girl no one cares about your opinion. This is not your life, you’re too grown for this shit go take care of some babies or shit and mind your own business.
Oh my gosh! If you don't like watching her, move on! You should be praising her, a young lady who loves crochet and shares her talents with us. I'm pretty sure she knows a whole lot more than you do, too. You must have a miserable life if your comment is any example. Please stop with your negative comments and leave this sweet girl alone.
This is a really great tutorial, this was the second thing I've ever crocheted and though it took a lot of time it was rather easy to do and it looks great. I'm actually about to make another one rightt now lol
i´m in love with whimsical crochet style, thank u for sharing this beautiful tutorial.
of course!! thank you so much for the love 🥹🥹🫂

A tip to cutting tassels quicker is wrapping the yarn around a book a bunch of times and cutting it!

Is the green / mossy LYS yarn a dk weight? This is really pretty ❤️ is there a stitch multiple if we need to make a bigger opening?
