I want to do the same route with my boyfriend in October but worried if we have bad weather. Do you think we should use a guide? ( they're so expensive!)
Hi Lisa, if you are a seasoned hiker then no need for a guide. Please do a lot of research prior to hiking. It is necessary to bring raingear (water/windproof) when you visit and equip yourselves with hiking poles, crampons (for Hakuba Daissekkei snow patch) and helmet as well. Mountain huts are still open until 1st week of October. Check this site, this is really helpful (I do my preparation and research here): hikesinjapan.yamakei-online.com/course/46.php. Good luck and tag me please if you did the route! Enjoy! 😉
@@KakitaAi Thank you so much, yeah we hike a lot in the mountains in europe so I also think we'll be okay! I've basically memorised the route by reading and watching videos, will sure tag you thank you!
@@KakitaAi Thanks a lot for this site!!! is there a lot taxis in the area (Happo Bus Terminal or Hakuba Station)? Bus schedule doesn't quite line up with buses from the hotel in Nagano
Hi Leo, to complete the Hakuba three peaks (Shirouma-dake, Mt. Shakushi, and Mt. Hakubayarigatake) it took us 2nights and 3days. You can book your stay or bring tent with you at camping ground of these two mountain lodge/huts: Hakubadake Chojo Shukusha Lodge and Hakubayari Onsen Goya. I hope this helps! Cheers! 🎌😍

Wow! How long did this take? Is there enough time for a tourist to complete this hike?
