  • In this video, Eric shows and demonstrates the Kimber Super Jagare in 10mm. Given that 10mm has plenty of energy to take down medium to large game within 100 yards, this long-slide 1911 is capable of delivering the goods.

      Except that the 1911 is not a strong design as far as pistols go. In reality a Glock is far stronger as it can flex and other than springs it will basically never wear out. Double Action Indoor range in Detroit has a Gen 3 G17 with 3,000,000 yes 3 million rounds through it. It's a rental gun and all they've ever done is replace springs. A 1911 may be way better looking and feel way better in the hand but a lot of 10mm 1911's even the steel frame guns develop frame cracks in under 1000 rounds. Some are critical some are not, but even a non critical frame crack is unsightly. The fact is a 1911 frame is thin, especially around the frame rails, magazine well, and dust cover. The .45acp is a very low pressure round that really puts no stress on the gun. If 3 million rouns won't wear out a 9mm Glock I suspect 10 times that wouldn't wear out a .45 Glock. The .45acp Glocks should be the longest lasting Glocks. Not that a .45acp 1911 won't also last forever, I've read about million round slides and frames, and accuracy doesn't start to fall off even from a machine rest until about 300,000 rounds.

    I love watching you guy's show. I just never know what you're going to provide us next! On the 10mm, I have a Colt Delta Elite I bought new in 2016, in stainless. I did a trigger job, titanium firing pin/hammer strut, Wilson Bullet proof extractor and firing pin stop, and I installed a SpringCo recoil reducing Guide Rod. Oh, and I fit a Briley gold titanium Barrel Bushing & an arched mainspring housing. I load my own Ammo so I use 165, 180, and 200 grain mostly at mid-to-max velocity. Favor the 1911 in 10mm Kimber Camp Guard and have one of those Springfield XDM4.5" HIGH capacity 10mm pistols too. A good 10mm with full power ammo makes excellent defense in the woods against man or beast. @@bryanduchane2371 You’re right on and I’ve probably watched/listened to exactly what you’re referring to. This coming Feb/March is going to be my first night hunting experience, so I’m trying to learn as much as possible. I already have an adequate visible light hunting setup (FoxPro Gunfire with Wicked Hunting Lights ScanPro) but recently purchased night vision. Only challenge is that the night vision setup I purchased was not only for hunting but also hiking, stargazing, “tactical” training, etc. It’s a helmet-mounted monocular (white phosphor PVS-14). At least I’d be able to use it to navigate at night even when hunting with visible lights but I wonder if I could use my IR laser to actually hunt with the night vision setup. This isn’t discussed anywhere that I’ve seen even though I feel like it would be reasonable at least within shotgun range when talking about coyote hunting. Aiming with an IR laser is basically the go-to when using a helmet setup. Anyway, hopefully I’ll find more info about it at some point. Most of the content I’ve seen from predator hunting resources are talking about either visual light hunting, dedicated infrared optic hunting, or thermal optic hunting. Thanks for the comment. We’ll see!

      10 mm is a bit better than 40. Just like 9 mm is a little better than a 380? The mind doesn't need to be blown away.? Which brought up my memory when Brandon stated. When Biden stated a 9 mm will blow out the lung of your chest? Laugh out loud. I'm just saying

    • @thebluestig2654
      @thebluestig2654 Рік тому

      @@wegmandan He's referring to the idea that common 10mm factory ammo is loaded lighter than it could be. He is correct but there's a reason for it. This is roughly the same as pistol vs carbine loads for .357 and .44 magnum. The cases can take the hotter loads with no problems, BUT, it's the pistols that usually can't take the hotter loads because of potential damage to the weapon.
      Even if the pistols can take the pressures from the hotter loads, you're just wasting powder because those loads are meant for longer barrels so all the powder gets burned.

      Federal was who made the lighter tens for the FBI.
      They were 40s in reality. The desk jockeys complained about qualifying with the full ten.
      It was created due to a bad shoot out in Miami.
      The criminal had a mini 14 and the FBI was using 9mm.
      The 9mm came just short of the vital organ
      In the criminal with the Minni 14.
      I do not understand this love affair with 9mm,it seems the majority a hand guns sold today are 9mm.
      Compared to a full ten the nine will never be able to match up with the ten.
      When it comes to car doors or other barriers.

    1 inch less than the 10 mm!! And I like 45 ACP too!! But like I said you cannot go wrong with the 10 mm handgun and still be able to stock up on 40 s&w caliber... 🤔💡🙄🤷🤯😂😂👌👍👍
