I’ve always loved Ray’s enthusiasm for the paranormal in this game especially at the end of the Shandor’s Island level. Everyone stares at him on the boat while he’s excitingly asking them what they saw and Egon just tells him to shutup. 😂
@@centrevezgaming4862 Yeah that was something that honestly bugged me then and still does to this day. You’d think after the second movie Peter and Dana are officially back together. And in this continuation, you would’ve gotten more detail about their relationship since then, but there’s literally nothing even mentioned. Alissa is fine, but she’s no Dana. The only thing I found kinda interesting was her connection to shandor. Which is basically a revisited idea from a deleted scene from Ghostbusters II that was meant for Dana, which would’ve explained why she’s a target for the supernatural.
Clowns and order of pelicans ghosts were reused in the XBOX Live muitiplayer in the original game, not the remaster, the marching band ghosts were left out except a most wanted ghost version named “Maestro” which is a recolour of the deleted ghost, Fun fact: audio for the marching band was recorded and they used a real marching band to make their sounds
3:13 just a little fact check, the model on the left is actually called nightmare, it was a cut ghost that would of attacked you in the mirror hallway at the ghost dimension, ghost on the right is actually the ambusher fiend. This ghost is fully textured and used in the sanctum of slime game. 3:37 the marching band ghost is actually in the multiplayer version of the game, he's one of the most wanted ghosts, the clown ghost and order of pelican ghosts are actually naturally occurring ghosts in the multiplayer as well.
My suggestion for the next episode is... Ghostbusters the Video game! In all seriousness the Wii and PS2 versions of this game are incredibly different compared to what people got on the PS3 and Xbox 360. While the stories are the same, the two versions have a completely different art style, new boss fights, the removal of one of the proton pack modes, two player co-op. I've always found comparing the two games to be fun.
That voice line between peter and ray before the stay puft fight actually is preserved in the wii and ps2 versions of the ghostbusters game! it might be worth while to actually take a look at that version of the game as its actually massively different from the 360/ps3 or remastered versions of the game in a lot of areas!
Thanks for covering this. There was so much dialog and content cut that you can't fit it all in a video. Edit: I contributing all of the unused dialog to the cutting room floor page. There's still much more I can upload, so the unused dialog mentioned here is not the only cut dialog.
My possible theory as to why the ghost viewer and parade level were cut is the usual suspect: "Not enough time to put it in". As for the crowd AI, its possible it was just too complex for the game to handle properly. If every NPC had its own simple AI, it would take way too much data to have a huge crowd running around. Not only that but you'd probably have the occasional rogue NPC that would just wander off and cause some glitches.
Kind of. Year One was directed by Harold Ramis, the guy that's also pictured and played Egon as well as writing the movies with Dan Aykroyd. No idea why that, of all things, is there. But Harold Ramis is the connection.
Its interesting that most of the dialog and actions seen in the parade day cutscenes are reused and seen elsewhere in the game. Iirc, they take place around the time of the Shandor Island mission, so I'd assume that the parade mission would be used in place of the Shandor Island mission Edit: also, the "cupid" enemies seen in the test texts could be referring to the cherubs seen in central park as cupid is commonly depicted as a cherub, the little baby angels. Though i cant think of what the knight enemy could be reffering to in game other than something that got scrapped ir was just a place holder? Edit2: also, wish they kept the voice lines in for the slime and stasis trap because i never knew i could do that, especially the stasis one. The slime one makes sense if i ever thought to try it but i never would have thought of the statsis one Edit 3: also, those eyes i think *do* make an appearance during the fight with the juvenile slor, but i could be wrong
I was about to say the exact same thing, but I couldn't find a comment button in the comments section! UA-cam, fix it, please... Hope I'm not ignored, but no comment bubble was in the comments below! DX Anyways, yes: Lots of unused voices & enemies were reused in The Remake on PS4. ;3
Bill Murray said in a interview that there was some dialogue that was never recorded for the game. Meaning that in the terms of cut content, there is more things to be said about the game then what we know!!
1:37 the ps3 version came with bonus content (6 exclusive videos) which did include a trailer of year one for some reason, so these were likely thumbnails for them left over from the ps3 release.
Found a website talking about these bonuses and gave a brief description on them, called spookcentral if you want more info on it(can’t link it unfortunately). For some reason they put it under pc version info unlockables(but specifies they’re from the ps3 release). They are looking into some beta builds / pre release stuff nowadays so that’s pretty cool too.
“PlayStation 3 Note: The PlayStation 3 also has 6 additional videos (numbered 12 through 17 on the game menu), all of which are unlocked from the start. Really enjoyed that Boss fight myself. Also, I am really pleased that much of the cut scene dialogue shown here was included in the Wii version of Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Finally, the DS version of the game does contain a battle during the Thanksgiving Day parade, although it is much different than the one Terminal Reality had in mind for the Xbox and Playstation 3 version.
Cupid wasn't removed. It was in the cemetery, Cupid and a cherrub are only different in one is armed, and I know i saw an arrow toting one hit me in the face once at the gate
In the remastered version all Doritos product placement got removed from the game to say sponsorship longer expired that in its place was a fictional brand .
Do hope this game gets a proper remaster with Deleted stuff included although it probably wont happen unless they do another Ghostbusters game like that.
The mayor being played by SpongeBob's Dutchman is perfect for this game
@@scrubyz5438 I know right! I totally forgot he did the voice until playing again for this video.
@@HackingIsFreedom yeah I somehow didn't notice when I played the game, took me hearing it here to figure it out
Its because he’s bill Murray’s brother he’s also captain kaknuckles from the miss adventures of flapjack and many more roles
Brian Doyle Murray, older brother of Bill Murray who actually had a small cameo in Ghostbusters 2 as one of the psyche hospital guys.
@@gray5515 When you look at them together, you'd think they were father and son.
if they had all those assets it's a shame the parade level wasn't in the remaster
I was wondering about such thing
I heard devs say it wasn't that fun so that could be another reason

It was a shame that they didn’t get Sigourney on board for the game or have a reference to her character .

The crowd AI tech was cut only because the parade level was cut and there was nowhere to put it. For the ghost viewer I have no idea why it was cut.
The year one still image is there because the directors behind year one was set to work on ghostbusters 3 before the project was scrapped.

Awesome that you did this for one of my all time favorite game
Great video. Recently replayed it on Steam and really enjoyed it. Had to mess with the cutscene files though, which apparently is pretty common.
this game is the real ghostbusters 3
Man that Oswald balloon thing is... actually creepy. The sounds it makes and it apparently vomits implying evil sickness just. Cool.
The Cubids are actually in the final game. They’re in arguably the most annoying segment near the end of the game.
ARGUABLY?!?
A. No argument here
B. 🤓Erm actually, technically they’re referred to as Cherubs in the spirit guide

Aww yeah I played this game and beat it twice, amazing experience all the way through.
This game needs a deluxe remaster
They already did that three years ago
good job man
I really wish the museum trex skeleton ghost in the wii verson was in the playstation game. Would of been such a great boss fight.

Underrated game. ❤
Year one is movie directed by Harold Ramis that's why it was in the game files
Oh yeah this is one of my favorite games
I hop the ps2version gets a remaster eventually because its different than ps3 version
