Thanks much AJ. This is very helpful. I just went out and measured your wing with my phone inclinometer, a straight edge and also a level. Got the main chord level now (was stupidly 8 degrees) and set the second element at 20 degrees (as a starting point). Will test at Lime Rock and adjust from there. I also see that I now created that small gap that you mention between 1st and 2nd element (was closed before).

Very timely. Mounting my new wing is next on my list for the racecar. Thanks

Always happy to see new content. Would you be able to make a video comparing the different type of wings... Pros... Cons...
For instance, Dual element, Single Element, Swan Neck vs Bottom mount. End plates and how they affect the overall aero.
I have a general understanding but would love to hear additional information/input.

I'll see what I can do. Kyle.Engineers has done videos on a lot of that stuff. He's the guy that designed a lot of our parts.

Having a spoiler just below the wing kinda helps speed up the air moving under the wing that keeps the air in contact with the wing coming off the spoiler.
    If that makes sense.

Is the ground slop/angle taken into consideration when finding the AOA of the wing? Sometimes driveways and garages had a slight slope.

Yes, it should be taken into account. If you car was sitting on a 10deg slope you don't want to sent you wing at 10deg and then end up with a wing at 20deg.

What if your wing element has a gurney - so you measure from the top of the gurney to the leading edge or set the angle from trailing to leading without accounting for it?

    • @ajhartmanaero

      Don’t include the gurney.
